Stem Cells of Aborted Babies Used to Fight Wrinkles

Monday, August 14th, 2006

If anyone wonders why true Christians are opposed to stem cell research, just read this article and it should be perfectly clear. People are actually using stem cells of murdered babies to make themselves look younger. It is completely sickening to me. Anyone who is an advocate of stem cell research needs to take a long, hard look at their position. Are the lives of these unborn babies so worthless that we justify using their little mangled bodies for wrinkle cream? God help us!

WASHINGTON (BP)–The cells of aborted babies are being treated like a fountain of youth for women at unregulated clinics outside the United States.

Thousands of women have been injected with stem cells from aborted babies with the hope they will look and feel younger and have greater energy and an increased sex drive, according to a British online newspaper.

A report by the Daily Mail found clinics in the Caribbean island countries of Barbados and the Dominican Republic, as well as Moscow, Russia, that use stem cells from babies aborted between six and 12 weeks of gestation for the promised anti-aging treatments. Stem cells are the body’s master cells that can develop into tissues and other cells

Neighbors Smell Blood in Israeli Cease-Fire Acceptance

Monday, August 14th, 2006

The government of Israel have done a great disservice to their people. It’s only a matter of time before the IDF will have to fight this war all over again.

Arabs and Muslims from Iran, Hizbullah and the PA are celebrating Israel’s acceptance of the UN ceasefire, dubbing it a “surrender” and calling on Arab states to attack the new “weak” Israel.
“After one month of war against Lebanon’s resistance, Israelis are the absolute losers and Hizbullah is the absolute winner of the war,” Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamida-Reza Asefi said Sunday. “The occupiers of Jerusalem failed, despite their military, economic, intelligence and diplomatic backings.”
The Iranian official said the Islamic Republic of Iran is “very pleased” with the ceasefire, according to state-run Iranian news agency IRNA. He warned, though, that attacks on Israel would continue as long as “occupation lingers.” He declined to outline whether occupation included retaining sovereignty in regions such as the Galilee – which Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah has termed “settlements” in his wartime addresses. “Let us not forget that as long as there is occupation there is resistance,” he added.

Tense Quiet in Israel, Lebanon As Ceasefire Takes Effect

Monday, August 14th, 2006

I wonder how long it will take before the slimy terrorist break this ceasefire?

Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) – A tense quiet emerged in southern Lebanon and northern Israel on Monday, the first day of a U.N.-imposed cease-fire aimed at ending more than a month of fierce fighting between Israel and the Iranian-backed terrorist organization Hizballah.
United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan announced that both the Israeli and the Lebanese governments had accepted the ceasefire resolution, which took effect at 8:00 a.m. local time here.
People in northern Israel were warned to stay in bomb shelters and security rooms as a precaution. But the prospect of a cease-fire tempted some residents out of the stuffy underground shelters where they’ve spent the past month.
Despite the cease-fire, there were reports of gunfire between Israeli soldiers and Hizballah fighters on Monday morning.

Right-wing Knesset Member Effi Eitam also expressed his opposition to the resolution.
“Everyone knows that this ceasefire doesn’t mean much,” the Jerusalem Post quoted Eitam as saying. “It is not a true accomplishment. It won’t succeed in resolving anything substantial, because it does not disarm Hizballah and does not guarantee that our kidnapped soldiers are coming home.”

-snip-

Lebanon, meanwhile, cancelled a cabinet meeting on Sunday that was supposed to discuss the disarmament of Hizballah south of the Litani River – 18 miles from the Israeli border — because Hizballah refused to participate. (Big Surprise – ed.)

“No Resolution At All” by Victor Davis Hanson

Monday, August 14th, 2006

The U.N. resolution that supposedly will solve the problem of Hezbollah is a perfect example of the delusions inhibiting the West in its fight against jihadist terror. According to the resolution, the current impotent U.N. force — the same one that blithely sat by for years as Hezbollah prepared its attack on Israel — will be beefed up and given permission actually to stop Hezbollah with force. But don’t worry: the U.N. will be supported by the fearsome Lebanese army, which up to now has shown no ability or inclination to prevent an armed gang from high jacking Lebanon ’s foreign policy and unilaterally plunging the country into ruin.
Delusional is too weak a word to describe this resolution. Does anyone really believe that U.N. troops, no matter where the soldiers come from, are going to use force against Hezbollah? I won’t even bother asking that question about the Lebanese army because the answer is too obvious, given the high level of support for Hezbollah among the Shia rank and file. But don’t bet on troops from France or any European country killing jihadists who are admired and supported by European Muslims. The French couldn’t even stand up to punk teenagers protesting a perfectly reasonable law intended to loosen up a sclerotic economy. I can’t see the same government standing up to Muslim rioters angry over the government’s participation in a Zionist-Crusader plot to kill the warriors of Allah.

-snip-

But why are we Americans going along with this farce? I’d like to think there’s some clever tactical ploy we don’t know about, but the answer seems to be that we still buy into all the lies endlessly recycled by the self-loathing media and intellectuals. You know the CNN/New York Times/Middle East Studies Association mantra: most Muslims are moderates who just want to get along, but a failure to resolve the Palestinian issue, the on-going war in Iraq, America’s other imperialist depredations, the lack of political freedom and economic opportunity, and post-colonial hangovers have all rendered them vulnerable to extremists who have high-jacked the faith and distorted it to justify murder.
Of course very little evidence supports this fantasy, and mountains of evidence refute it, but it still serves a purpose: camouflaging the moral degeneracy of many in the West who, no longer believing in anything other than pleasure and comfort, have no basis for calling evil by its proper name. It’s much easier to indulge the “all cultures are equally wonderful” lie, or sadly invoke the “cycle of violence” canard, or fall back on “moral equivalence” to avoid making a judgment that might hurt the feelings of those exotic little brown people so beloved by jaded Westerners.

-snip-

The U.N. resolution will not solve the problem of Hezbollah. It will simply postpone the solution. Meanwhile Hezbollah will regroup and rearm, Syria and Iran will continue to make mischief, and the same old useful idiots in the West will peddle the same old excuses for Islamic dysfunction and Western appeasement.

Nearing Midnight for August 14th from Rapture Ready

“Israel [Now] the Land of Jews” by Todd Strandberg (founder of the Rapture Ready Web Site)

Since the rebirth of Israel in 1948, students of Bible prophecy have regarded that nation as the Jewish homeland. This distinction has always come with an asterisk noting that America has had more Jews than any other nation on earth.
For the first time since the Roman Empire brutally put down Jewish revolts, destroying Jerusalem, killing hundreds of thousands of Jews and sending most of the survivors into slavery and exile, there are now more Jews living in Israel than in America. Israel’s Jewish population has just passed 5.6 million, which is 400,000 more than the number of Jews living in the U.S.

-snip-

With such a large percentage of the world Jewish population now living in the Promised Land, the destruction of Israel would make it very difficult to have another regathering of Jew. I’m sure the devil is very aware of this reality.
The Bible predicts that Satan will ultimately fail to remove the Jews from the land that God gave them. It also predicts that he continues trying to the very end.
“And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man [child]” (Rev. 12:13).

“Shape of Things To Come?” by Terry James (General Editor of the Rapture Ready Web Site)

Most who watch the news in light of Bible prophecy agree that the world has moved into a time of birthpang-like convulsions. While such contractions have been observable for a long time, they seem now to be only minutes apart, rather than months and years apart, like in previous decades. It is with this frame of reference I would like to do some scenario postulating.

-snip-

Israel appears to be headed toward exactly the isolation outlined in Zechariah’s prophecy for the end of human history. The tiny Jewish state is being more and more blamed by the international community for its retaliation against incessant attacks from its enemies. While terrorists are given shelter and endless supplies from countries like Syria and Iran, they are given time to resupply, rebuild their losses in terroristic forces by people like U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan, with the cease-fire resolutions which, even if implemented, are kept only by the Israelis, never by the Hezbollah or Hamas murderers.
The latest convulsion brings to mind the question: Might this be the time violence will reach the level that is dangerous to the point world diplomats will become so terrified at the prospect of nuclear conflict they will demand peace above all other considerations?

Space Limitations

Monday, August 14th, 2006

Some of you might notice that I’ve been posting shorter post then I used to. This is because we have limited database storage for the blog with the web host plan we currently have. There are larger (and more expensive) plans that have more database storage space, but at this time, I cannot afford to do an upgrade.
I urge all of you to take the time to follow the “Original Link” back to the seed articles and read them in full.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.

“The One Hundred Percent Reality” by Jack Kinsella

Monday, August 14th, 2006

The Israeli Defense Forces are made up of Israeli citizens, mostly Jews, but also including Israeli Arabs, both Muslim and Christian, Druze, and other non-Jews who hold Israeli citizenship.
The Israeli government is made up of Israeli citizens, mostly Jews, but also including Israeli-Arabs, who hold seats in the Knesset and who are represented throughout all walks of Israeli political life.
But when reading war dispatches from the front lines in Lebanon, the Israeli Defense Forces are referred to as often as ‘Jewish forces’ as they are ‘Israeli troops’.
The State of Israel is as often referred to as ‘The Jewish State’ as it is by its proper name.
As of the 2005 projected Israeli census figures, Israel’s own demographics break down like this:
There are just over five million Jews holding Israeli citizenship. There are 1.3 million Israeli-Arabs who enjoy full Israeli citizenship. Of these, 1.1 million are Muslims, 116,900 Christian Arabs, and 116,900 Druze. In addition, there are 278,300 classified as ‘other’ broken down further as 27,400 non-Arab Christians with 250,900 “unclassified.”
Broken down as percentages, it works out to something along the lines of 82% Jews, 9% Arabs, and 9% Christians. So, while the overwhelming majority of Israel’s population is Jewish, not every Israeli is a Jew.

-snip-

ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of Britain’s ‘home-grown terrorists’ planning to blow up 12 trans-Atlantic aircraft filled with non-combatant men, women and children at random are Muslims. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of Canada’s ‘home-grown terrorists’ are Muslims. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the detainees in the war on terror are Muslims.
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the terrorists killed in active combat against the United States were Muslims. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the suicide bombers who blew themselves up as an act of war against the West were Muslims.
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of the terrorists who murdered more than three thousand innocent people on September 11 in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania were Muslims.
The Muslims protesting in Washington are protesting that the Jewish State (78%) is being backed by Christian America (78%) because they are unfairly targeting Muslims as potential terrorists.
But nobody can figure out what ‘common thread’ binds the terrorists together.
It is time to revisit that seminal question that so troubles American Christians in their study of Bible prophecy. Where IS America in Bible prophecy? We have now before us the clues necessary to unravel this Biblical puzzler, assuming anyone has the courage to announce the obvious conclusion out loud and in public. The answer is as obvious as it is terrifying.
Before we figured out who our enemy was, we had already lost the war.

“RESOLUTION FOR DISASTER” by Fern Sidman

Monday, August 14th, 2006

In a matter of a few hours, the Israel Defense Forces will lay down their arms against the Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon in what the United Nations has termed a “cease fire”. UN resolution 1701 calls for an immediate halt to Hezbollah attacks and Israeli “offensive military action.” It further calls for the deployment of Lebanese Army forces in southern Lebanon together with UNIFIL forces. The resolution also calls upon the international community to extend financial and humanitarian assistance to Lebanon, though it makes no mention of the damages suffered by Israel.

Under the persuasion of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, the Israeli Cabinet unanimously approved the UN resolution, with the lone abstention of Transportation Minister Sha’ul Mofaz.
According to Arutz Sheva (8/13/06), “the cease fire has already faced much domestic criticism in Israel. It does not meet the two stated objectives of Israel’s offensive in Lebanon: The release of the kidnapped soldiers and the disarming of Hezbollah.”

Former Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom of the Likud has stinging criticism of the ceasefire plan being formulated in the United Nations. He calls it a “disgrace” and a “historic tragedy.”

Speaking with Voice of Israel Radio on Friday morning, Minister Shalom said if the UN proposal is accepted, “Israel’s position would be worse than it was at the beginning of the war: It does not call for a large multi-national force in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah would not be disarmed, and a parallel is made between our abducted soldiers and murderous Lebanese terrorists held by Israel such as Samir Kuntar.”

“It could even be,” Shalom said, “that Syria might conclude that it can get the Golan Heights back by sending over some missiles to Israel.”

Shalom’s party colleague, former Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman MK Yuval Shteinitz, took an even stronger stance. If Israel accepts this “shameful” cease fire, Shteinitz said Friday morning, “the government must resign and new elections must be held.”
The Lebanese Cabinet has also approved the cease fire resolution, however according to CNN, (8/13/06), “The two Hezbollah members of the Lebanese Cabinet said Saturday the militia wanted to keep its weapons south of the Litani River — a zone the U.N. resolution calls for demilitarizing. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah indicated that the two Hezbollah ministers voted for it in a spirit of national unity. The Lebanese Cabinet planned to meet Sunday to discuss implementing the plan, but then postponed the meeting for up to two days. A Lebanese government minister said the postponement came at the request of parliamentary speaker Nabih Berri, a key negotiator with Hezbollah, to give government officials more time to discuss the plan with Hezbollah.” Hassan Nasrallah has stated unequivocally that Hezbollah forces will continue to conduct attacks as long as the Israeli army is on Lebanese soil.

Israel has maintained that its troops will remain in Lebanon until the Lebanese army and the international peacekeepers arrive to secure the buffer zone. According to news reports, that could take up to 7-10 days. Plenty of time for Hezbollah to regroup and rearm and come back with even more ferocity than it has already displayed. This war is far from over, but for the time being it is Hezbollah who can bask in the glory of victory.

It is clear that the leadership of the Israeli government has failed miserably in executing a military strategy that can ensure an Israeli victory over Hezbollah. Since the beginning of this conflict on July 12th, the flip flop, schizophrenic Olmert government has spoken loudly but has carried a small twig. Throughout this conflict Olmert had promised the people of Israel that the Jewish State would implement every measure to disarm Hezbollah and push their forces north of the Litani River in Lebanon. Let us review the inexplicable events of the last week. At the beginning of the week, the Israeli Cabinet voted to expand its ground offensive. Immediately subsequent to that vote, Olmert announced that the offensive would be delayed to allow for diplomatic measures to be taken. Hours before the UN vote on Friday, August 11th, the Olmert government switched gears once again and unleashed the 30,000 Israeli troops in Lebanon.

Even the media is in a quandary as to exactly what Israel’s strategy is and are collectively questioning the wisdom behind such erratic changes in policy. Hezbollah has declared victory over the “invincible” Israeli army, and rightfully so. This week alone Hezbollah has killed over 65 Israeli soldiers with the heaviest loss coming yesterday, with the killing of 24 Israeli soldiers and hundreds wounded. Over the last week, Hezbollah has launched over 160 Katyusha rocket attacks every single day aimed at northern Israel with the heaviest coming today with the launching of over 200 rockets, crippling the city of Haifa and surrounding areas. Thus far, 143 Israeli have been killed, while over 1000 have been wounded.

And while the world watches, the inept, confused and terrified Israeli government hands a monumental victory over to Hezbollah on a silver platter. The Olmert government is one that not only has failed to protect its citizens, to disarm Hezbollah terrorists, and to secure the release of the kidnapped Israeli soldiers, it is one that is determined to herald a new era of more Israeli deaths as it emboldens Hezbollah through its cowardice and obsequious rhetoric. Even the banner headline of yesterday’s left leaning HaAretz newspaper stated that “Olmert Must Go”.

It is clear that the government of Israel had no real and clear plan to ensure victory for Israel. It is clear that Olmert’s words and actions were not in sync. It is clear that the hesitation and indecisiveness of the Israeli government’s military strategy has paved the way to more destruction and much greater danger for the Israeli populace and military. It has admitted defeat because of its fear of world opinion and its inability, at the beginning of this conflict, to call for a massive ground offensive.

Weeks went by and despite Israeli air strikes, there was no clear indication that Hezbollah forces had been dramatically weakened. This war was handled by a bunch of amateurs and now Israel is paying the price. The legendary reputation of the Israeli army as a incredible and accomplished fighting force has been eradicated and thus has lost the respect of the world. What once was is no more, but what could have been was never realized because of a government that lacks the fortitude and temerity to call for bold actions. The government of Israel has acquiesced to its greatest nemesis, fear of world opinion.

It is a government that would rather see over a million of its citizens living in bomb shelters for over a month, to see its villages, towns and cities be rapidly destroyed and the lives of its people be thrown into total chaos. And so we stand humiliated and defeated as our enemies celebrate the impending downfall of “the Zionist entity” as they call it.

At this dark and painful moment in the history of the Jewish people and the State of Israel, it behooves us to pause and reflect on some profound words. Words that were spoken decades ago, words of vision and foresight, words of warning, that tragically were never heeded.

Rabbi Meir Kahane, ZTK”L, of blessed memory stated the following: “It may affect the tender soul of the more spiritually intellectual among us, but one can never attain peace or security by ‘compromise’ with bitter enemies who have no intentions of compromising with you” (Our Challenge, 1974, p. 32)

And to those who want this conflict to end without destroying those forces who seek our annihilation, and to those who seek peace through bogus cease fires, we must remember these words: “But the Arab problem will not go away, because the very existence of the Jewish State creates it” (Rabbi Meir Kahane, They Must Go, 1981, p. 8 )

And Rabbi Kahane in his incredible vision also stated, “The most fundamental obligation of government – the source of its legitimacy and right to rule over the people – is its responsibility to guarantee the lives and safety of its citizens. If it either cannot or will not fulfill that obligation, it faces the loss of its moral and legal authority” (Israel: Revolution or Referendum?, 1990, p. 95)

And the question that is at the very core of this conflict is as follows: “Is it not legitimate to challenge an Authority which is either unable or unwilling to put an end to a terror that takes the lives of its citizens and that threatens the very existence of the state?” (Rabbi Meir Kahane, Israel: Revolution of Referendum?. 1990, p. 110)

Let us clearly and unequivocally announce to the leaders of the State of Israel that: “In the name of ‘peace’ there would be no Jewish state; in the name of ‘morality’ there would be no Jewish nation” (Rabbi Meir Kahane, Our Challenge, 1974, p. 33)

Now is the time to appeal to the Almighty G-d of Israel, to beseech the Master of the Universe with our fervent and heartfelt prayers for our survival as a people and as nation. Now is the time to plead with the Almighty that he infuse our leaders with the courage and strength it takes to destroy our enemies and may He reveal His strength, His glory and His majesty for all the world to see.

And may we never forget these words: “If Jewish weakness in the eyes of the nation – if Jewish weakness is proof of G-d’s non-existence, then how do we prove to the nations that the G-d of Israel is indeed the One G-d? And not only is He not impotent, and not only exists, but He is G-d? Surely, by Jewish victory, Jewish strength” (Rabbi Kahane’s last speech, November 5, 1990)
