AIDS Out of Control in Asia

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

The AIDS epidemic is out of control in Asia mostly due to men having sex with men and then marrying or having sex with women. There is not a word to describe how horrible the effects of AIDS can be. Knowing that AIDS is a reality in the world we live in, I cannot understand why these men would engage in such risky behavior and then expose others. I realize that heterosexuals can contract AIDS as well, but knowing that AIDS is so prevalent in the gay community, I cannot understand why anyone would take the risk. God’s word says that homosexuality is sin. There are always consequences to sin.

TORONTO (Reuters) – AIDS is “spiraling out of control” in Asia among men who have sex with other men, activists warned on Tuesday — and the epidemic is likely to spread because many of these men also marry or have sex with women.

And because the issue of homosexual sex is taboo in many Asian cultures, these men are difficult to identify and reach through public health campaigns, the American Foundation for AIDS Research, or AmFAR, and a group called TREAT Asia said in a joint report.

“Unless we address male to male sex and HIV risks and vulnerability, it is going to have a major impact on the general population because a lot of the people we work with are also married,” said Shivandanda Khan of Naz Foundation International, a non-governmental organization that works with men who have sex with men (MSM) in India

Aborted Baby Born Alive and Then killed

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

Okay, let’s go over this one more time. Abortion is murder. Recently in Florida, a baby that was aborted was born alive and then killed. The authorities are trying to discern whether the baby was “viable” or not. Does it really matter? When a breathing baby is killed it is called murder no matter what the pro-choice crowd would like everyone to believe. The person who killed that little baby should be tried for his/her murder the same as any other person who kills an innocent child.

An investigation into the remains of a baby found at a Hialeah, Fla., abortion clinic in July has determined that the child was born alive, but authorities say it may come down to an interpretation of federal law whether charges will be filed.

The case developed at the end of July when the remains were found in a biohazard bag at “A Gynecologists Diagnostic Center” after an anonymous 911 call reported to police that a child had been born alive, then killed.

Infants’ remains at an abortion clinic are not a violation of the law — unless that child was born alive, in which case the federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2000 takes effect.

Record Immigration TO Israel

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

It seems to me that I recall reading a passage in the Bible where God says His people will return to their land (and it is THEIR land, contrary to what many would believe). It would appear that He is fulfilling that promise right before our very eyes. If not for God, why would these people risk their lives and the lives of their families to move into a country that is so full of danger? Everyone better get ready and get serious about the FACT Jesus is coming back soon!

Almost 550 new immigrants to arrive on Wednesday morning, August 16th on three special Jewish Agency / Nefesh B’Nefesh El-Al Flights which will land simultaneously from New York, Toronto and London.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Jewish Agency Chairman Zeev Bielski will greet the new arrivals.
Over 4,000 new immigrants from all over the world will have arrived in Israel from the beginning of July until the end of August.
According to Jewish Agency estimates, 24,000 people from countries around the world will immigrate to Israel in the course of the year 2006, up from the 22,657 people who made aliyah in 2005.

Invoking Hizballah, Sudan’s Leader Vows to Defeat Any UN Force

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

The ramifications of Olmert’s failure to release the full might of the IDF into southern Lebanon have already started.

( – Amid calls for the U.N. to deploy peacekeepers in Sudan’s Darfur region by October 1, the country’s Islamist leader has vowed to emulate Hizballah in Lebanon and rout any incoming force.
“We oppose the deployment of American, British or other forces imposed by the Security Council,” Sudan’s state news agency quoted President Omar al-Bashir as saying in an address to the North African country’s armed forces.
“We are determined to defeat any forces entering the country just as Hizballah has defeated the Israeli forces,” he said, echoing the view expressed by Syria, Iran and Hizballah itself that the recent conflict in Lebanon had ended in victory for the terrorist group.
The Sudan Tribune said Bashir also has reaffirmed Sudanese “solidarity” with the Lebanese and Palestinians.
The U.N. estimates that more than 200,000 people have been killed in Darfur since fighting erupted between the government and several rebel groups in 2003. Two million more have been displaced, and both rebels and notorious government-sponsored militias have been accused of abuses against civilians.
