Transexual Teacher Causing Stir in NY School

Wednesday, September 13th, 2006

Parents of high school students in a New York school are concerned that a transexual teacher is a poor role model for their children. Poor role model? Ya think? Five parents requests to have their children removed from this gender-bender’s class have been denied. This is absurd and wrong on so many levels. This article is a must read.

(AgapePress) – A school district in western New York has denied requests from five parents who asked that their children be taken out of high school classes being taught by a transsexual teacher. In doing so, says one pro-family leader, the school is deliberately placing children at risk.

Batavia schools superintendent Richard Stutzman says the reason the written requests were denied is because they did not meet the guidelines set out by the district. Without providing specifics, Stutzman told Associated Press “That’s all between the school, the teacher, [and] the parents.”

The community has been embroiled in controversy since school officials announced a male teacher at the high school — who has been diagnosed with a “transsexual disorder,” says AP — is going through a medical transition and is dressing as a woman. Bob Knight with the Culture and Family Institute says the district should be putting the interests of its students first, but “like much of the public educational blob, is [instead] showing utter contempt for the parents.”

Knight contends that, by its actions, the district is telling parents it does not care if children become “sexually confused” by the transsexual teacher, or that someone “with a serious gender-identity disorder is being placed as a role model” in front of the students. In addition, he suggests the district is so committed to what he calls the “pansexual revolution” that it is telling parents “you’re going to go along with it, and we’re not even going to give your kids an out.”

Rosie: Radical Christians pose Islamofascist threat

Wednesday, September 13th, 2006

(Sigh) Here we go again…
Anyone who claims to be a Christian, but intentionally attacks innocent women and children or sees them as legitimate targets, is not doing what the Bible says to do. I would go a step further and say that I believe they are not “real” Christians. I admonish them and rebuke them.
Now, with that said, the only reason Rosie compares Christians to Islamofascist is because Conservative Christians will not adopt, support or call good the homosexual lifestyle she has chosen. She doesn’t like it, so she uses her television forum to compare Christians to terrorist.
Rosie, you are so out of touch with reality.

Rosie O’Donnell says “radical” Christians in America are just as much of a threat as the followers of radical Islam who piloted hijacked jetliners into New York’s Twin Towers and the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.
O’Donnell, the newest face on ABC’s “The View,” yesterday let her feelings fly after co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck noted militant Islam provides a threat to free people.
“Just a minute,” she interrupted. “Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America where we have separation of church and state.”
She had been saying America was attacked “not by a nation.”
Yet, she said, “And as a result of the attack and the killing of nearly 3,000 innocent people we invaded two countries and killed innocent people.”
A bewildered co-host, Joy Behar, protested that Christians are not threatening to impose mass murder on Americans.
“There’s that difference. This group is threatening to kill us,” Behar said.
And Hasselback, appearing surprised, said, “We are not bombing ourselves here in the country.”
“No, but we are bombing innocent people in other countries. True or false?” O’Donnell said.

Update:
Bruce Bawer reminds Rosie that her lifestyle choice can get her executed in many Islamic countries. Christians contend against homosexuality and refuse to endorse it and call it “good”, but a true Christian will NEVER kill or jail a person for being homosexual.

Let it not be forgotten, after all, how countries ruled by Koranic law treat their homosexual citizens. Under the Taliban, Afghanistan put at least ten homosexuals to death; on New Year’s Day, 2002, our good friends in Saudi Arabia beheaded three men for sodomy. According to one report, Iran has executed several thousand men for homosexuality since 1979. Even in Egypt, with its relatively moderate and secular government, a widely publicized mass arrest of suspected homosexuals in early 2001 resulted in the torture and imprisonment of dozens of males as young as fifteen. And these figures are undoubtedly dwarfed by the annual number of “honor killings” of female family members who have strayed sexually (or who have shamed their families by being raped)–a form of murder that is so much a part of traditional Muslim culture that it goes unprosecuted even in relatively moderate Islamic countries like Jordan. In May 2002, Amnesty International reported that in Pakistan at least three honor killings occur every day, and that the perpetrators are usually not even arrested, although their identities tend to be known to family, neighbors, and even the police.

“ONE ARAB’S APOLOGY” by Emilio Karim Dabul

Wednesday, September 13th, 2006

September 12, 2006 — WELL, here it is, five years late, but here just the same: an apology from an Arab-American for 9/11. No, I didn’t help organize the killers or contribute in any way to their terrible cause. However, I was one of millions of Arab-Americans who did the unspeakable on 9/11: nothing.
The only time I raised my voice in protest against these men who killed thousands of innocents in the name of Allah was behind closed doors, among the safety of friends and family. I did at one point write a very vitriolic essay condemning their actions, but fear of becoming another Salman Rushdie kept me from ever trying to publish it.
Well, I’m sick of saying the truth only in private – that Arabs around the world, including Arab-Americans like myself, need to start holding our own culture accountable for the insane, violent actions that our extremists have perpetrated on the world at large.
Yes, our extremists and our culture.

———-

I’m sorry for that, for ever believing that anything that my grandparents or other relatives had to say about Jews or Israel, for that matter, had any real resemblance to truth. It took me years to realize that I’d been conned into believing the generalizations and stereotypes that millions around the Arab world buy into: that Jews, America and Israel are our main problem.
One look at the average Arab regime should alert us to the fact that the problem, dear Achmed, lies not overseas or next door in Tel Aviv, but in the brutal, corrupt despots that we have bred from country to country in the Mideast, across the span of history. That history and its corresponding economic devastation is the main reason I reside on New York City’s West Bank – New Jersey – not the one near Jerusalem. On my worst day, I’m happy about that fact. I’d rather be here than there, and experience the freedom and boundless opportunities that were mostly unknown to so many generations of my family in the Mideast.

———-

Five years after that awful day, it’s time for all Arab-Americans, and Arabs around the world, to protest against Islamic fascism, to raise our voices – and, where necessary, our arms – against these tyrants until their plague of terror has been driven from the face of the earth forever.

The Man Who Claims To Be Jesus

Wednesday, September 13th, 2006

Jesus said:
“For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ (or Messiah),’ and will deceive many.” (Matthew 24:5)
“So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the desert,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:26-27)

  • Followers Claim Doral Man is God On Earth
  • Jose Luis deJesus Claims There Is No Heaven, No Hell
  • Followers Believe All Other Religions Must Be Destroyed
  • (CBS4 News) DORAL His name is Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda; his followers call him everything from apostle to Dad, or simply Jesus Christ Man. De Jesus Miranda himself believes he’s the living incarnation of “Jesus Christ Man,” “the second coming of Christ.”
A follower of his believes “he is God, he is God.” She also lavishes him with money and gifts.
“I don’t have one Rolex,” de Jesus Miranda said, “I have 3 because they want to give it to me. It’s like that woman that came to Jesus with the expensive perfume and put it on his feet. He didn’t reject it, so when someone gives me a watch or a gift, I receive it. I like them too, they’re nice.”
This self-proclaimed Son of God is a 60 year old former heroin addict and convict. The divorced father of 4 was born in Puerto Rico and now lives in South Florida with his second wife.
From a warehouse in Doral, near Miami, he presides over the “Creciendo en Gracia” or Growing in Grace Ministry which he also calls “God’s Government On Earth.
As any other head of state, he is protected by a security detail that mimics the U.S. Secret Service.
In an interview with the self-proclaimed Messiah, CBS4’s Ileana Varela asked de Jesus if he was able to do some of the things Jesus Christ did like performing miracles, healing the sick and walking on water.
De Jesus said not necessarily. “My life is my church and what I’m doing worldwide,” he said.
What De Jesus is doing at more than 300 centers in Central and South America, Cuba and the U.S. is preaching a message of “freedom to indulge” because according to this modern messiah, there is no sin, no devil and no hell to pay.
De Jesus says, “It doesn’t exist. The devil was destroyed two thousand years ago.”
It is music to the ears of his followers, mostly Hispanic men and women who believe they are God’s chosen people, predestined for salvation no matter what they do on earth. They also believe all other faiths are false and must be destroyed, from Catholics to Baptists and Jehovah’s witnesses.
His followers have organized marches at which they destroy religious books and symbols. They also have a campaign aimed at disrupting other religious gatherings, sometimes with violent consequences.
“What disturbs me is that he fits into the typical mold of a cult leader, total complete submission to his authority,” FIU Religion professor, Daniel Alvarez said.
Alvarez has a Masters Degree in Theology from Harvard Divinity School, and is among those who fear “Creciendo en Gracia” has the makings of a destructive cult.
“He destroyed my family,” said former member Regina Albarracin, who left the church about 5 years ago. Her husband soon followed but their son Alvaro remained to become one of the ministry’s biggest financial backers, donating more than $1 million to the church.
Alvaro is not alone; many others have set up businesses in de Jesus’ name that pour cash into the ministry.
“I know were going to be running the whole world,” de Jesus said.
A web entrepreneur and self made millionaire, Alvaro Albarracin left his wife and children for the man he calls Jesus. He has since remarried to another church member and rarely speaks to his parents who insist he’s been brainwashed by the man “they” certainly don’t call Jesus.
His mother, Regina Albarracin said, “You think he’s Jesus Christ? No he’s the devil. You think he’s the devil? Yes that’s him.”
Regina Albarracin is afraid for her son’s soul, and Professor Alvarez says she should be. Most of these movements, he says, self destruct sooner or later.
“Lots of broken lives, lot of spiritual and emotional and psychological debris that will be strew on the path of the gentleman,” Alvarez said, “and the fallout will be inestimable for the lives of these people who get caught up in this kind of movement.”
Unfazed by the criticism, de Jesus continues to plan for the role he believes he is destined to play on the world’s stage. “I will be president of the biggest government that this earth has experienced,” promised de Jesus.

Israel Skeptical of Hamas-Fatah ‘Unity Government’

    Wednesday, September 13th, 2006

Hamas is and always will be terrorists bent on the complete destruction of Israel and the genocide of the Jews.

Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) – Israeli officials are reacting with skepticism to reports that the radical Islamic Hamas movement has decided to indirectly recognize the state of Israel as part of a deal to form a national unity government with the Palestinian Authority’s Fatah party and two other groups.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Monday that he had forged a deal with senior Hamas politicians to being setting up such a government later this week. He told reporters in Gaza City that “the national interest requires that all our people unite so we can achieve victory by establishing our independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital.”
After winning Palestinian parliamentary elections last January, Hamas formed a P.A. government that excluded the long-dominant Fatah party headed by Abbas. Subsequent tensions between the rival Palestinian movements spilled over into violent street clashes on several occasions, putting mounting public pressure on both groups to settle their differences and form a unity coalition.
Israeli political analysts say a financial aid embargo against the Hamas government by the United States, the European Union and other major foreign donors has acted as another strong incentive for the establishment of a unity government. Thousands of P.A. workers have not received their paychecks since the Hamas-led government was formed last March.

    ———-

According to media reports, the Palestinian unity government deal proposed by Abbas and Haniyeh includes Hamas acceptance of a peace plan unveiled in 2002 at an Arab League summit meeting in Beirut.
That plan called for a “two-state solution” to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, implying ultimate Arab world acceptance of Israel’s right to exist in the mainly Muslim Middle East alongside a Palestinian state.
Israeli media reports said the Palestinian unity government’s new guidelines will mention only that Hamas “recognizes the existing political reality in the region.”
Israeli political analysts say such a vague statement probably will not be accepted by Israeli government leaders as sufficient to fulfill the quartet’s condition that the P.A. must formally accept Israel’s permanent existence.
The new Palestinian government guidelines reportedly state that the Hamas movement’s acceptance of the Arab League peace plan will continue only “so long as it serves Palestinian interests.”
According to many Israeli analysts, the clause signals that there has been no major change in the radical group’s bedrock rejection of Israel. Instead, they say Hamas is offering only tactical concessions meant to reopen the vital foreign financial-aid spigot. (emphasis mine. -ed.)

    ———-

Hamas cabinet spokesman Ghazi Hamad told Israel’s Army Radio on Tuesday that the planned P.A. unity coalition will have “no problem holding peace talks with Israel” designed to set up a sovereign Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. But he added that Hamas would not necessarily view the establishment of such a state “as the end of the conflict.” (emphasis mine. -ed.)
Israeli analysts said the comment further demonstrates that Hamas wants to appear moderate enough to secure desperately needed Western financial aid without really abandoning its founding charter’s call for Israel’s ultimate destruction.

Former Clinton Aide Critical of Attempts to Shut Down ABC’s 9/11 Special

    Wednesday, September 13th, 2006

Well, it would seem that “Clinton lied, people died” to coin a phrase.
Look, anyone who is unwilling to admit that Clinton was one of the most immoral presidents we have ever had, apparently didn’t reside on this planet during his presidency. Most of us remember the infamous line “what is the definition of ‘is’?” and the joke going around at the time, “I’m being (investigated, scandalized, impeached), quick, bomb someone!!”. Clinton would lie when the truth would sound better. As if we are going to believe him when he says that some scenes of how they responded to the terror threat were “fictitious” and “false and defamatory”.
But then on the other hand, who better qualified to know “fictitious”, “false” and “defamatory”. His is a walking example of “fictitious”, “false” and “defamatory”.

(AgapePress) – A national defense analyst who served as a military attaché to President Bill Clinton says the controversial ABC miniseries that has been lambasted by the former Chief Executive and his advisers was, in fact, very accurate.
On Monday evening, ABC presented the second three-hour segment of “The Path to 9/11,” a docudrama about the struggle facing America’s counter-terrorism experts between the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and the fatal attacks on September 11, 2001. The bombing occurred slightly more than a month after Bill Clinton first took office; George W. Bush had been in the Oval Office less than eight months when the two hijacked airliners smashed into the twin towers.
Drawn from detailed information contained in the 9/11 Commission Report and other sources, the six-hour miniseries promised to “take viewers on an unforgettable journey through the events that presaged that fateful day” so they could “understand what went right and wrong, and what can be learned from [the] crucial eight-year period” between the two events.
Sunday’s three-hour segment, however, created a furor with Clinton and members of his former administration, who wanted the entire program shelved. They accused the filmmakers of including “fictitious” and “false and defamatory” scenes of how they responded to the terror threat. But retired Air Force Lt. Col. Buzz Patterson says his former boss had several chances to nab terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden.

    ———-

Those attacks and others, says Patterson, could have been prevented. “[W]e could have prevented the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, we could have prevented 9/11, and we could have prevented the bombings of the embassies in Africa if President Clinton had taken one of these opportunities,” he states. “We had eight chances at least to either nab bin Laden or to kill him.” (emphasis added. -ed.)

Okla. Megachurch Departs PCUSA, Cites Scriptural Issues

    Wednesday, September 13th, 2006

The line between Bible Believing churches and Worldview churches continues to become more defined. The deciding issue in almost every case is the homosexual agenda. I see this situation only getting worse as churches polarize over this issue.

(AgapePress) – A megachurch in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has left the Presbyterian Church (USA), citing unscriptural teachings, meetings, and even worship in the denomination. According to the church, the PCUSA has “walked away” from scripture.
Three-thousand-member Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church has voted overwhelmingly to sever ties with the PCUSA. Co-pastor Tom Gray says for the last 30 years, there has been a steady decline n the PCUSA’s adherence to the strict teachings of scripture. But when the denomination made an authoritative decision in June to allow local churches to ordain homosexuals as pastors, Gray says he knew his congregation could no longer remain in the PCUSA.
The Tulsa pastor says “The Kirk,” as the church is known, will be joining the Evangelical Presbyterian Church — and he explains why. “They are evangelical in their blood; in other words, [they adhere to] the idea of the good news of Jesus Christ being preached forthrightly,” says Gray. “They are a strong mission entity, as opposed to the denomination we left, which is systematically eliminating its missions.”
In a sense, he says, the EPC is what “the denomination I was a part of used to be many years ago.”
Meanwhile, Kirk of the Hills and the PCUSA are in a legal battle for possession of the church’s property located in south-central Tulsa in the vicinity of Oral Roberts University. Gray says his congregation believes “morally and legally” that the property belongs to them.
“We’ve paid for every single thing about this church and in this church,” he explains. “And in addition to that, we’ve given hundreds of thousands of dollars to the old denomination [the PCUSA].”
Pastor Gray describes the situation as feeling like it is a “run for the money.”
“The denomination doesn’t really care why we left, or what it was doing wrong,” he shares, “but [it] is tremendously interested in us paying them for the property.”
Gray has been at the Kirk since 1982. His co-lead pastor is Wayne Hardy.
