Abbas gives Hamas last chance

Monday, September 25th, 2006

People, Hamas is NEVER going to allow Israel to exist, even if they say they will.

Four Palestinian armed groups on Sunday threatened to target any Palestinian government that recognizes Israel’s right to exist and attacked Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas for “succumbing” to US pressure.
The latest threat came as Abbas was preparing to travel to the Gaza Strip for another round of talks with PA Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh over the formation of a joint Hamas-Fatah government.
Abbas is demanding that the political program of the proposed government recognize Israel and honor all previous agreements signed between the Palestinians and Israel. Hamas leaders have rejected Abbas’s demand, saying they would never join a government that recognizes Israel and the Oslo Accords.

“Relations between Fatah and Hamas are very bad,” said Ahmed Abdel Rahman, a senior Fatah official closely associated with Abbas. “Hamas is now talking about civil war and this is very worrying. Hamas must realize that there is no other alternative but to accept a political program that would win the backing of the international community.”
PA chief negotiator Saeb Erekat accused Hamas of scuttling efforts to form a unity government. “Shortly after reaching an agreement with President Abbas, Hamas leaders began issuing statements that violated the agreement and embarrassed him,” he said. “They made these statements at a time when the president was trying to convince the world to accept the national unity government.”

At a press conference in Gaza City, masked gunmen representing four different militias warned that they would attack any government that accepts Abbas’s demand to recognize Israel.
“Any government that recognizes Israel will be a legitimate target for our fighters,” said Abu Abir, spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees, one of the groups that issued the threat. “We will fight against such a government with all means and we will consider it as part of the Israeli occupation.”
The groups also criticized Abbas for insisting that a unity government recognize Israel and urged him to halt his attempts to overthrow the Hamas-led government. Two of the groups that were represented at the press conference claimed that they were affiliated with Abbas’s Fatah party.

‘Border baby’ boom strains S. Texas

Monday, September 25th, 2006

An ever growing problem here in Texas.

RIO GRANDE CITY — First it was a trickle, now it’s a flood.
Rising numbers of undocumented immigrants from Mexico and Central America are streaming into Texas to give birth, straining hospitals and costing taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars, health officials say.
Doctors and health officials say they are overwhelmed by both the new arrivals and those immigrant mothers who already are in the state. Even Houston’s feeling the pinch. An estimated 70 percent to 80 percent of the 10,587 births at Ben Taub General Hospital and Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital last year were to undocumented immigrants, administrators say.
Also feeling the strain is Starr County, an already poor South Texas county that has the region’s only taxpayer-supported hospital district.
Immigrants “want a U.S.-born baby” and know that emergency room staffers don’t collect any money up front, said Dr. Mario Rodriguez, an obstetrician in Starr County.
“The word is out: Come to Starr County and get delivered for free. Why pay $1,000 in Mexico when you can get it for free?” Rodriguez said.
”When we are separated only by the distance of the river, it’s easy to do,” Starr County hospital administrator Thalia Muñoz said. “It’s gotten worse, and it’s because the economy in Mexico is not good and because we provide all these benefits.”

God’s Grace

Monday, September 25th, 2006
Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
    but delight to show mercy.

    You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

You will be true to Jacob,
    and show mercy to Abraham,
as you pledged on oath to our fathers
    in days long ago.

Repost: “The Pope, Islam and the Harlot Church”

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Pope Benedict XVI has become the center of a media firestorm over a statement that strikes me as common as saying the sun will rise tomorrow. During a speech in Germany at a university where he used to teach, he quoted Manuel II Palaeologus, a 14th-century Byzantine Christian emperor, who said: “Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”

I’m not sure what event sparked Manuel II Palaeologus to make his comment. I have to wonder what his majesty would say today about the more recent accomplishment of the followers of Muhammad. Here is a very, very abbreviated list:

* The 9/11 attack that killed more than 3,000 people
* The murder of filmmaker Theo van Gogh for making a film that criticized Islam’s treatment of women
* The 7/7 London bombings – more than 40 dead
* The 1994 rush-hour bombings in Spain that killed 202
* The terror bombings in India that killed 500
* The Darfur Humanitarian Crisis that left 200,000 dead
* In a single month, violence between Islamic groups in Iraq kills 7,000
* The British police’s halt of a plot to blow up a dozen aircraft
* Iran’s call for a new holocaust against Israel
* Al Qaeda’s death threat against all non-Muslims in Iraq

The ironic thing about Pope Benedict’s statement is the reaction it generated in the Muslim world. When confronted by their history, they rioted in the street. One Islamic group came up with the novel idea of protesting “violence against Muslims” by fire-bombing two churches in the West Bank — neither of which were Catholic. One should not forget the brutal murder of Sister Leonella in the Somali capital of Mogadishu.

Western leaders make the mistake of blaming Al Qaeda for all the terrorist acts. Every day there are some new Islamic groups that take responsibility for some gruesome act of terrorism. To find the root cause, you need to go to the source – the Koran:

* Surah Muhammad [47]:3 says, “When you meet the unbelievers on the battlefield, strike off their heads….”
* Surah Anfal [8]:12 says, “I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, strike off the tips of their fingers.”
* Surah al-Nisa’[4]:74 says, “Let those who would exchange the life of this world for the hereafter, fight for the cause of God….”
* Surah al-Nisa’[4]:56 says, “The true believer fights for the cause of God, but the infidel fights for the devil.”
* Surah al-Nisa’[4]:101 says, “The unbelievers are your inveterate enemies.”
* Surah al-Ma’idah [5]:51 says, “Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends.”

I think a review of the DVD “Is Islam itself violent?” says it best: “Through an examination of the Koran, other Islamic texts, and the example of the prophet Muhammad, this documentary establishes, through a sober and methodical presentation, that violence against non-Muslims is and has always been an integral aspect of Islam. ‘Jihad,’ while best translated as ‘struggle,’ as represented in the Koran and the life of Muhammad, means nothing less than organized warfare against unbelievers. Furthermore, Muhammad’s life is the sacred and holy model that all faithful Muslims must follow today. Just as Muhammad waged war throughout Arabia in the 7th Century, his followers continued to conquer, enslave, and devastate other peoples and cultures on three continents.”

I do not look for a conflict between Islam and Christianity. Bible prophecy tells us that in the last days all major eligions will set aside their differences and join together to form a global religious alliance. The Antichrist will use this organization as a stepping stone for his own plan to set himself up as the world’s savior.

Pope John Paul II is credited for holding history’s largest pan-religious meeting. In October 1986 and 1995, at the Italian city of Assisi, Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox, pagans, Jews, Muslims; Hindus; Shintos; Animist Snake Worshippers, Native Americans, and other religions converged to pray for peace.

John Paul did much to advance the ecumenical movement, but in an odd way, he eventually became one of its biggest obstacles. His support for “inter-faith dialogue” with other world religions was always based on the notion that he, the head of the Catholic Church, must remain supreme. The Russian Orthodox Church was one faith that would have nothing to do with his supremacy talk. Another stumbling block to the harlot church was John Paul’s stance on moral issues; liberal faiths could not stomach his strong conservative positions on abortion and gay rights.

Pope Benedict XVI, by getting himself into trouble with the Muslims, may clear away the Catholic roadblocks. He is already singing a new tune about how he respects the Muslim faith. With nearly every other faith yielded to the spirit of comprise, we may soon see the Vatican setting aside doctrinal truth for the sake of unity.

“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Rev. 17:5).

He doth protest too much

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Read Michelle Malkin’s post “He doth protest too much” about the Chris Wallace (Fox News) interview of Bill “Slick Willie” Clinton.
Here is the link to the Fox News Artilce.
Now let me go wash my hands with a strong anti-bacterial soap since I had to type the words “Bill Clinton” (twice).

NEW YORK — Former President Bill Clinton accused Chris Wallace of carrying out “a conservative hit job” on him after the “FOX News Sunday” host asked him about his administration’s handling of the growing Al Qaeda threat in an interview.
The interview, taped Friday during Clinton’s three-day Global Initiative conference in New York, got heated after Wallace asked why Clinton didn’t “do more to put Bin Laden and Al Qaeda out of business” when he was in office.
A visibly agitated Clinton chided Wallace for ambushing him with questions about his anti-terrorism policy when Clinton wanted to talk about the Global Initiative project, which looks to create movement on issues including poverty, disease and climate change.

Clinton math:
“He had eight years to confront Islamic extremism, four years to address Bin Laden’s declaration of war on the U.S., and two and a half years to respond to the embassy bombings, yet somehow Republicans had “three times” as long as Clinton did to get him.”

Police to brief Muslims before terror raids

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Two articles I ran across at Little Green Footballs this morning.

Police to brief Muslims before terror raids
Apparently police in the U.K. must brief and get permission from Muslims before conducting terror raids! Of all the half-brained ideas I’ve heard lately, this one takes the cake!
To quote part of the article:
“Members of the panel will offer their assessment of whether information police have on a suspect is too flimsy and will also consider the consequences on community relations of a raid.”
“Flimsy” information? “Consequences on community relations”?
Going on:
“Members will be security vetted and will have to promise not to reveal any intelligence they are shown. They will not have to sign the Official Secrets Act.”
Oh, well now if they promised not to “reveal any intelligence”, that sure makes it better…NOT!!

Why is this a problem, you may ask?
Check out this next headline:
One in 10 Muslims ‘ignore terror’

That’s right folks, the very people who will be “consulted” before the raids, 10% of them are unwilling to turn in terrorist. Can you say “leak” and “tipster”? Especially since they have no legal obligation to keep the information a secret!!

If there are any sane British left, we have lots of room here in Texas. We’d love to have you come live here. But leave the nutcases who make these stupid rules behind.

Buy a Fatwa!!

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Muslim leaders, have we got a deal for you!!
Tired of the “evil” going on in your village, province or country? Feeling out of control of the ignorant masses you rule? Need a new scheme for cajoling your people into obedience?

Buy a Fatwa (religious decrees)!!
Now, for a bargain price, you can have a local, prominent Muslim cleric, issue a Fatwa for or against the issue of your choice!!
Courtesy of the Nation of India (the world’s third most Muslim nation), you can now more easily subjugate the ignorant masses who know and believe only what they hear at Mosque.
Guaranteed to be pronounced at Friday Prayers if placed before 3 P.M. on Thursday.
So when the masses get on your nerves with all that whining about “lack of freedom” and “Is the U.S. really the Great Satan”, just remember:
Buy a Fatwa!!

But Wait!! There’s More!!
Having trouble keeping the anti-Israel and anti-United States rhetoric at a fevered pitch??
Now, for absolutely free, we’ll throw in a “Day of Rage”!!
(Orders for “Day’s of Rage” must be placed by Monday in order to give our advertising arm, the Main Stream Media outlets, time to properly advertise the event.)
Remember, Buy a Fatwa…your answer to all your subjugation needs.

The Muslim world has erupted in religious indignation over everything from cartoons of the prophet to the pope’s comments last week. But in India, which boasts the world’s third largest Muslim population, that indignation can be bought for a small fee.
An Indian TV network broadcast a sting operation against several prominent Muslim clerics who were shown demanding bribes to issue religious decrees, or fatwas. Among them? Bans on the use of credit cards, sleeping in double beds, using cell phones with cameras, acting in films, donating organs, or teaching English to Muslim children. Time magazine reports one cleric even issued a fatwa against watching TV while another issued a fatwa in support of watching TV.
