Jimmy Carter: Too Many Jews on Holocaust Council

Friday, January 26th, 2007

Oh my goodness!! Just when I think Carter couldn’t have said anything nuttier then he already has, he goes and actually does it.
OK, one question…how can there be too many Jews on a Holocaust Council??? What total nonsense from this man!!

TEL AVIV – Former President Jimmy Carter once complained there were “too many Jews” on the government’s Holocaust Memorial Council, Monroe Freedman, the council’s former executive director, told WND in an exclusive interview.

Freedman, who served on the council during Carter’s term as president, also revealed a noted Holocaust scholar who was a Presbyterian Christian was rejected from the council’s board by Carter’s office because the scholar’s name “sounded too Jewish.”

Freedman, now a professor of law at Hofstra University, was picked by the council’s chairman, author Elie Weisel, to serve as executive director in 1980. The council, created by the Carter White House, went on to establish the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.

Freedman says he was tasked with creating a board for the council and with making recommendations to the White House on how best to memorialize the Holocaust.

He told WND he sent a memo to Carter’s office containing recommendations for council board members.

He said his memo was returned with a note on the upper right hand corner that stated, “Too many Jews.”

The note, Freedman said, was written in Carter’s handwriting and was initialed by Carter.

Freedman said at the time the board he constructed was about 80-perent Jewish, including many Holocaust survivors.

He said at the behest of the White House he composed another board consisting of more non-Jews. But he said he was “stunned” when Carter’s office objected to a non-Jew whose name sounded Jewish.

Freedman said he could not provide the historians name to WND because he did not have the man’s permission.

“I got a phone call from our liaison at the White House saying this particular historian whose name sounded Jewish would not do. The liaison said he would not even take the time to present Carter with the possibility of including the historian on the board because he knew Carter would think the name sounded too Jewish. I explained the historian is Presbyterian, but the liaison said it wouldn’t matter to Carter.”

Freedman said he was “outraged by this absurdity.”

“If I was memorializing Martin Luther King, I would expect a significant number of board members to be African American. If I was memorializing Native American figures I’d expect a lot of Native Americans to be on the board.

“I do not for a moment consider it inappropriate to build a Holocaust council with a significant majority of the board being Jewish,” Freedman stated.

Ellison’s Support for Terrorist Is Apparently Of No Concern

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

I have said before in earlier posts that the new Muslim congressman, Keith Ellison cannot be loyal to both the United States and Islam. This article proves that point. America is generally a Christian country, founded on Christian principles (although there are times no one would ever suspect that). Muslims are taught from birth to hate and even kill Christians. He has only been in office a short time, but is already raising support to free a member of a terror group that was charged with placing a pipe bomb under a police car. By voting him into office, America has opened up a Pandora’s box that we will never be able to close. Scary.

WND’s report that new Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, once advocated the release of a woman charged with placing pipe bombs under police cars and who was a member of a terror group that allegedly attempted to assassinate Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., has generated a string of “no comments” from the parties, as well as a key congressional leader.

“The information (question) was received and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can,” A. Tianna Scozzaro, a spokeswoman in Feinstein’s Washington, D.C., office told WND when asked about the situation. But no call was returned.

One day earlier, she had explained that no comment could be obtained because lawmakers were busy waiting for President Bush’s State of the Union address later that night.

At issue is Ellison’s support for and participation in a fund-raiser in 2000 for the then-recently arrested Kathleen Soliah, a.k.a. Sara Jane Olson. She was a member of the New World Liberation Army and associated with the Symbionese Liberation Army during the 1970s and had been on the run from law enforcement for over two decades when she was captured in St. Paul, Minn.

What Carter Should Say About His New Book: “I’m not an anti-Semite. I only play one on T.V.”

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

I caught this statement over on Michael Mickey’s “Rapture Alert Blog” this morning and had to laugh. How right he is.

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter defended his book about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on Tuesday, saying he didn’t mean to offend anyone and was hurt by the negative reaction.

“I’ve been hurt and so has my family by some of the reaction,” Carter said during an appearance at Brandeis University, a nonsectarian Jewish-founded college in the Boston suburb of Waltham, Mass. “This is the first time that I’ve ever been called a liar and a bigot and an anti-Semite and a coward and a plagiarist. This has hurt me.”

Carter, author of “Palestine Peace Not Apartheid,” released in November, attracted criticism from Jewish groups and academics who allege inaccuracies and distorted history. The book also prompted the resignation of a longtime Carter aide and 14 members on the board of the Carter Center at Emory University in Georgia.

Critics point to the use of the word “apartheid,” which they say seeks to villanize Israel over its policy toward Palestinians.

“I am deeply concerned about the tensions that might have arisen. That was not my intention at all,” Carter said.

“With my use of ‘apartheid,’ I realize this has caused great concern in the Jewish community. … I can certainly see now it would provoke some harsh feelings. I chose that title knowing that it would be provocative, but in the long run it has precipitated discussion and there has been a lot of positive discussion,” he said.

OK Jimmy, so somehow you thought that comparing Israel to South Africa’s former apartheid wasn’t going to make Israel angry? (knocking on Carter’s head) Hello, is there anyone in there??

Israel Raises Nuclear Stakes with Iran

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Things are continuing toward a confrontation with Iran. Keep watching this closely.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, dramatically raised the stakes in the international showdown with Iran last night, with a clear warning that his country was prepared to use military force to prevent Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

“The Jewish people, with the scars of the Holocaust fresh on its body, cannot afford to allow itself to face threats of annihilation once again,” Mr Olmert said in a speech to a high-level security conference in Herzliya. “No nation has the right even to consider its position. It is the obligation of every country to act against this will all its might.” “We can stand up against nuclear threats and even prevent them,” he said.

Israeli military officials warned this week that Israel – acting alone or in coordination with the US – could launch preemptive military strikes against Iran before the end of this year.

Israel describes Iran’s nuclear programme as an “existential threat” to the Jewish state which should be stopped before Iranian scientists manage to produce a nuclear bomb. There is particular concern because of statements by the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, threatening to wipe Israel from the map. But Israeli and western experts say that even without the firebrand Mr Ahmadinejad, who is currently in political difficulties, Iran’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, has made it clear that the Iranians will not back down from their confrontation with the West over Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.

The Israeli officials say that action should be taken to stop Iran before it reaches the “point of no return” in progressing towards the possible production of a nuclear bomb. They are referring to the moment when Iran, which announced last year that it is capable of enriching uranium to the 5% necessary for nuclear energy, is able to overcome technical problems with centrifuges used in the process so that they can run on a sustainable basis. Once that happens, Iran would be theoretically capable of enriching uranium to the 90% required for a nuclear weapon, depending on the number of centrifuges. Iran continues to insist, however, that its intentions are peaceful.

Scientists Tighten Security Over Germ Terror Threat

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Have y’all figured out yet that the Islamic terrorist will use any method they can find to kill us? I think it’s about time you did figure that out if you haven’t already.

Britain’s laboratories have been ordered to strengthen security on stocks of more than 100 deadly viruses and bacteria after an MI5 warning that Islamic terrorists are training in germ warfare. The biological agents include polio, rabies, tuberculosis and avian flu. Food poisoning bacteria such as E. coli and the sources of a number of rare tropical and Middle Eastern illnesses are also included.

Scientists and laboratory staff in universities, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies who deal with agents will have to be vetted by police, and their laboratories will be checked by government safety inspectors. Stock will have to be regularly audited. The crackdown comes after MI5 privately warned the Foreign and Commonwealth Office that al-Qaeda was actively recruiting scientists. Extremist groups are known to have targeted students, offering to fund courses in return for using their newly acquired expertise.

Last November Dame Eliza Man-ningham-Buller, the Director-General of MI5, gave warning that terror attacks in Britain could involve weapons of mass destruction.

She said that terrorists were seeking the means to mount a range of attacks using chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear devices. “We know that the aspiration is there, we know attempts to gather materials are there, we know that attempts to gather technologies are there,” she said.

Ayman al-Zawahri, al-Qaeda’s second-in-command, warned the the West in an internet video last night of a reprisal “far worse than anything it has seen” if Washington did not change its policies towards Muslim states.

After the 9/11 terrorist attacks in America, security at laboratories was stepped up amid new intelligence on the ambitions of al-Qaeda and its allies, and restrictions were placed on 47 agents under the Antiterrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001. Yesterday the Government announced that the list was being increased to 103, including 45 viruses, 21 bacteria, 2 fungi, 13 toxins and 18 animal pathogens.

Fabricated Evidence Lands Man 6 Years in Jail

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

More horror stories from the ever loving (sarcasm), ever embracing (sarcasm), and ever tolerant (sarcasm) faith of Islam.

The charges were made up, the evidence fabricated, the arrest without notice and the sentence was life in prison. But now after serving six years of that term, a Pakistani man is being released, according to Voice of the Martyrs, a U.S.-based Christian group helping members of the persecuted Christian church worldwide.

Shahbaz Kaka currently is being treated with medical care for a month following his recent release from his jail cell, according to a statement issued by Justice Ejah Ahmad Chaudry of the High Court in Lahore.

He then will be free to return home, officials said.

According to Voice of the Martyrs, Shahbaz was arrested in June 2001 after using the restroom at a mosque.

“Qari Rafique, the head of the mosque, asked him why he was using the toilet that was adjacent to the mosque. He quizzed Shahbaz on whether he was a Christian because he was wearing a cross around his neck,” a Pakistani information source told VOM.

Rafique subsequently made a series of false accusations against Shahbaz, including statements to authorities that he “disgraced” the Quran by tearing pages out, cutting them into pieces and trampling them under his feet, the source reported.

His arrest followed immediately, and he later was charged, tried, convicted and sentence to life in prison for his “crime,” according to VOM.

For the first 18 months of his term, his mother was not even told where her son was, or that he had been accused and arrested. She eventually learned that he still was alive from VOM workers, who started addressing his situation in 2003 when they discovered the injustice delivered in his case.

While they worked on the legal procedures, they also helped his family, encouraging them during a time of extreme hardship and grief, VOM reported.

“We rejoice with Shahbaz Kaka and his family at his release,” said Todd Nettleton, the director of media development for VOM. “Yet we wonder about the injustice of his arrest and the six years he spent in prison. We are concerned for other Christians who still face persecution in Pakistan, and encourage the Pakistani government to provide true religious freedom in their country.”

According to VOM records, Christians have faced severe opposition from militant Islamic groups since Pakistan was formed in 1947 as the Muslim section in the partition of British India.

Christians routinely are barred from jobs and Christian merchants are harassed, and since the war in Afghanistan started, problems have intensified since Pakistani Christians are seen as being a part of an attack on Islam, VOM reported.

Sharia law, Islamic religious law, was adopted in 1998, and that further limited the rights of Pakistani Christians.

While Article 20 of the Constitution of Pakistan assures every citizen the right to profess, practice and propagate their religion, Christian organizations working within Pakistan report reality is quite different.

Muslim extremists use blasphemy laws to attack churches and kill Christians across the nation, and in one incident in 2005, an estimated 3,000 militant Islamists attacked Christians and destroyed Roman Catholic, Salvation Army and United Presbyterian churches. In 2006, churches and Christian schools were targeted for destruction in Pakistan because of the publication of cartoons of Islam in Denmark.

“Unfortunately very little evidence is needed to make a charge under the blasphemy laws and it is very difficult for non-Muslims to successfully contest the accusations,” said one analyst. “Even the judicial system struggles to counter such acts with blasphemy cases attracting scores of agitators disrupting court proceedings, shouting slogans and demanding the death penalty.”

That law reads: “Whoever by words, either spoken, or written, or by visual representation, or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly, or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) shall be punished with death.”

The nation’s Christian community of 2 million is relatively small in the overall population, making up only about three percent of the people.

VOM is a non-profit, interdenominational ministry working worldwide to help Christians who are persecuted for their faith, and to educate the world about that persecution. Its headquarters are in Bartlesville, Okla., and it has 30 affiliated international offices.

It was launched by the late Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand, who started smuggling Russian Gospels into Russia in 1947, just months before Richard was abducted and imprisoned in Romania where he was tortured for his refusal to recant Christianity.

He eventually was released in 1964 and the next year he testified about the persecution of Christians before the U.S. Senate’s Internal Security Subcommittee, stripping to the waist to show the deep torture wound scars on his body.

The group that later was renamed The Voice of the Martyrs was organized in 1967, when his book, “Tortured for Christ,” was released.

Lights ‘not of this world’ Mystery Finally Solved

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

It appears the strange lights in the sky over Arkansas were from the Air Force. This time…

Mysterious lights in the sky witnessed and photographed by an Air Force colonel who described them as “not of this world” apparently have an explanation of this Earth after all, WND can reveal.

The colorful illuminations seen Jan. 9 over western Arkansas came from special military flares that slowly parachuted to the ground as part of an Air Force training mission involving A-10 aircraft pilots at nearby Fort Chaffee, a base used by the military for testing weaponry.

“We were flying A-10s in that area and they were using flares,” Jessica D’Aurizio, chief of public affairs at the 917th Wing of the Air Force Reserve at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, told WND.

She says the flares, which stay lit for about five minutes, produce nearly 2 million candlepower.

“It brightens up the target area,” D’Aurizio said. “They go down in parachutes, so they’re very bright. That had to be what it was, I’m sure.”

As WND exclusively reported last week, F-16 fighter pilot Col. Brian Fields, now retired at 61, was at his Van Buren, Ark., home Jan. 9 when just before 7 p.m., he observed two intensely bright lights as he looked to the southeast close to the horizon.

“At first I thought they were landing lights from an aircraft,” he said. “As I continued to observe them they began to slowly disappear, then suddenly one reappeared, followed by two, then three. On at least one occasion four or five appeared. Each time they would slowly fade and eventually disappear. This occurred several times and when they would reappear they might do so in differing numbers and in different positions, sometimes in a triangular shape, sometimes stacked on top of each other, sometimes line abreast, etc. When the objects appeared they might stay illuminated 10 or more minutes.”

‘Family Values’ Conservatives Unimpressed by State of the Union Address

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

I guess President Bush really has forgotten who put him in office. I would have thought that the last election would have been a wake up call, but I guess not.

(CNSNews.com) – Conservative groups that advocate “family values” issues such as bans on abortion and homosexual “marriage” were left unimpressed after President Bush’s seventh State of the Union address Tuesday evening.

“I applaud the president’s leadership as he refused to surrender his role of commander-in-chief to the new majority,” Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, said in a statement Tuesday. “However, I believe the president failed to challenge the new majority to advance core family and cultural issues.

“What will become of the culture of life, the defense of marriage and permanent family-friendly tax policies?” Perkins asked. He called on Bush to “fight for the American family, and American families will stand with you!”

Tuesday’s State of the Union speech marked the first such address in five years in which the president did not focus on family values issues like abortion, stem cell research and marriage.

In 2003, Bush called on Congress to ban the procedure opponents call “partial-birth abortion.” Later that year, he signed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban of 2003, which is now under review by the Supreme Court.

During his 2004 address, Bush pledged to double funding for federal abstinence education programs and urged Congress to rebut “activist judges” who had “begun redefining marriage by court order, without regard to the will of the people and their elected representatives.”

He continued pressing for action on marriage in 2005, when he called it “a sacred institution and the foundation of society” and again called for a constitutional amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman.

In 2005, Bush also said the government “must strive to build a culture of life” and promised to work with Congress “to ensure that human embryos are not created for experimentation or grown for body parts, and that human life is never bought and sold as a commodity.”

Again in 2006, Bush called for prohibitions on what he called “the most egregious abuses of medical research,” including human cloning and the creation or implantation of human embryos for research. He also criticized “activist judges” for trying to redefine marriage.

Yet in 2007, Bush steered clear of embryonic stem cell research, even as high-profile proponents such as actor Michael J. Fox sat in the House gallery. Bush last year vetoed a bill that would have allowed federal funding for the research, and the new Democratic Congress is again trying to pass the legislation.

Bush mentioned “family” only once in the most recent speech, when he proposed tax deductions for health insurance. He also avoided homosexual “marriage” after a year — 2006 — in which efforts to create a constitutional amendment to ban it failed.

Bush’s Immigration Comments Rile Conservatives

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

After the war in Iraq, I believe that the immigration issue is the hot topic for America.

(CNSNews.com) – While liberal interest groups were quick to criticize President Bush’s State of the Union comments on issues ranging from the war in Iraq to the environment, conservatives were also upset as he continued to push for immigration reforms that they claim go easy on illegal aliens.

While Bush reported that he is doubling the size of the Border Patrol to monitor the U.S. border with Mexico and pledged to enforce immigration laws at the workplace, his temporary worker proposals are still a touchy subject for his conservative base.

“We should establish a legal and orderly path for foreign workers to enter our country to work on a temporary basis,” Bush said in his seventh State of the Union address Tuesday evening. “As a result, they won’t have to sneak in, and that will leave Border Agents free to chase down drug smugglers and criminals and terrorists.”

Bush added: “We need to resolve the status of the illegal immigrants who are already in our country without animosity and without amnesty.”

But some conservative immigration groups argue that Bush’s policy amounts to amnesty.

“With the change in congressional leadership, President Bush is hopeful that 2007 will be the year he finally succeeds in passing a guest worker amnesty plan that has been consistently rejected by the American public and the majority of his own party,” the Federal for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) said in a release.

FAIR President Dan Stein said Bush’s “radical immigration agenda …is designed to satisfy business’s demands for an endless supply of low wage labor” and argued that it will hurt “Americans who work for a living, who pay taxes, send their kids to public schools, care about the environment or who believe that a nation is more than just a random collection of people who happen to share a piece of geography.”

U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Colo.), a longtime critic of Bush’s position on immigration, also slammed the president’s State of the Union remarks in a statement released Tuesday.

Suggesting that Bush tried to “guarantee a Congress sympathetic to his ‘amnesty for all’ plan” during the 2006 elections, Tancredo said the new Democrat-controlled Congress “seem[s] hell-bent on cramming this mass amnesty down the throats of the American people whether they want it or not.”

Tancredo also questioned Bush’s pledge for increased enforcement of immigration laws, saying that “one or two high-profile raids are not proof of a commitment.” He was referring to the recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids on six meat-packing plants that resulted in more than 1,200 arrests and 148 charges related to identity theft.

“What we are looking for from the administration is the same degree of energy expended in the enforcement of our immigration laws as they used to seek out a drug dealer in Mexico, so he could be brought back to testify against border patrol agents who were trying to do their job,” Tancredo added, referring to two border patrol agents now in prison for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler.

While conservatives are angered with Bush’s stance on immigration, proponents of a guest worker program are cautiously optimistic that Bush and the Democratic Congress will work together to pass legislation enacting it.

“Immigrant communities have learned to appreciate the speeches,” the Fair Immigration Reform Movement (FIRM) said in a statement, “but we have become sorely disappointed in the follow-through.”

“For immigrant communities, actions speak louder than words: Human and comprehensive immigration reform can begin to heal the breach,” FIRM said. “While President Bush and congressional leaders have expressed sincere intentions for this year, immigrant communities are taking nothing for granted. We are preparing to work harder than ever to ensure that President Bush lives up to his promise and that the new Congress performs differently from the old one.”

Jewish Withdrawal from Judea and Samaria Back on the Table

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

My Jewish brothers and sisters, why are you allowing this??? Can’t you see that trading land for peace is never going to work?? It seems as though your government no longer listens to you. They are bent on the destruction of Israel just as much as the pali terrorist and rest of the Islamic world are.

The government has agreed in principle to withdraw from most of Judea and Samaria (“Yesha”), in secret talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Egypt and the European Union (EU) have been mediating the negotiations, according to the World Net Daily (WND) news website, which quoted high-level Egyptian diplomatic and intelligence officials, and an aide to EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana as saying they have been directly involved in the talks.

Negotiations have been quietly proceeding apace for the past two or three weeks, according to sources quoted by WND reporter Aaron Klein, after PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas suggested to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert late last month that the two men switch to “back channel talks” in order to avoid coverage by the media.

According to Egyptian and EU sources, one of the plans currently under consideration involves handing over control of central and southern Yesha to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s security forces. In northern Yesha, the transfer of responsibility to Abbas’ security forces over the area would be monitored by Jordan and EU observers.

Hamas’s role in the plan remains unclear. The terrorist organization has repeatedly vowed never to formally recognize the State of Israel, renounce terrorism or uphold agreements with Israel signed by the previous, Fatah-led, PA government. That stance is not accepted by the international community.

Talks toward a unity coalition between PA Prime Minister and Hamas chairman Ismail Haniyeh and Mahmoud Abbas, who heads the Fatah faction, are all but dead, leaving Hamas in control of the PA.

Israel May ‘Stand Alone’ in Years to Come, Professor Says

Wednesday, January 24th, 2007

I don’t doubt this for a moment. This will be particularly true after Christians have been removed from earth by Jesus before the Tribulation period starts.

Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) – Despite America’s current strong support for Israel, the Jewish State should be prepared to “go it alone” in the years ahead, an American professor warned.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz mentioned several events as reasons to be concerned. They could create “the conditions for a perfect storm,” he said, with Israel at the center.

The first event is the recent publication of former President Jimmy Carter’s book on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Dershowitz, addressing a recent national security conference in Herzliya, Israel, called Carter’s book a “watershed event” in U.S.-Israeli and U.S.-Jewish relations.

Carter’s book asserts the “old canard” that Jews control the media and because they do, it prevents fair coverage of the Palestinians’ plight, said Dershowitz, who addressed the gathering by satellite.

Carter’s book also promotes the idea that Jewish control of American politics makes it “suicidal” for any American politician to present a “balanced view” of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Carter gave legitimacy to arguments that undermine Israel, Dershowitz said. Until now, such arguments have only been heard from the extreme right and left, he added.

The professor also mentioned college campuses where “junk academics” have created a debate on the proper role of “Jewish influence” on American foreign policy. This is instilling questions about Israel’s right to exist in the next generation, he said.

Then there’s the “media war” against Israel, where terror groups such as Hizballah and Hamas attack Israelis, using civilians as cover — then reap public relations benefits when Israel retaliates and kills the civilians, Dershowitz said.

Finally, there are comments from prominent Americans such as retired General Wesley Clark, a former Democratic presidential hopeful and Supreme Allied NATO commander, who recently hinted that there is too much Jewish involvement in U.S. foreign policy. “New York ‘money people’ are pushing the U.S. into war with Iran,” Dershowitz quoted Clark as saying.

“Israel must be prepared for the possibility of losing American support over the coming years, diplomatically, economically, militarily and morally,” said Dershowitz. But Israel should not allow “these stereotypes to weaken its resolve but it must be prepared to go it alone.”

Robert Satloff, executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, said that on a “popular level,” Americans deeply support Israel. But on the “elite level,” there is a “weakening” of that support.

Satloff said the only people who took Carter to task over his book were Jews. (Fourteen members of the Carter Center’s advisory board resigned in protest on Jan. 11.) Twenty years ago, he said, Americans like Scoop Jackson, Jean Kirkpatrick and Dan Moynihan would have stood up against him.

“I am concerned about the weakness in support for Israel among the non-Jewish, non-Evangelical foreign policy elite that remained silent,” Satloff said at the same Herzliya conference. “It is not a crisis, but in my view, it is a point of deep concern.”

Calev Ben-David of The Israel Project, told Cybercast News Service/b there is a “troubling” trend in the U.S. of delegitimizing supporters of Israel. But he said that’s because Israel’s supporters have been successful in transmitting the truth about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Some of the people that are against Israel feel that they have “lost the argument,” Ben-David said. So instead of attacking Israel, they have now focused their criticism on those who support Israel.

This is a “deliberate strategy,” because according to polls conducted by The Israel Project, support for Israel is at an all-time high in regards to the Israeli-Palestinian issue, said Ben-David.

Raising the idea of “dual loyalty” of Americans who support Israel is like saying that Spanish-speaking American citizens shouldn’t participate in the debate on immigration laws, he said.

Israel has both Jewish and non-Jewish supporters, said Ben-David. It’s a “smear tactic” to question their right to make an argument in favor of Israel, he said.

Tom Cruise Being Called the ‘christ’ of Scientology

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Okay, I know Tom Cruise is a handsome man and not a bad actor, but equal to Jesus? Never. Ever. If you are reading this and looking for someone to place your faith in, do not place your faith in this (or any) Hollyweird actor or his false religion. Scientology is a ‘religion’ based upon a fictional novel. Please do not be deceived by the ‘pretty’ people who follow L. Ron Hubbard – he is dead. Jesus is alive and well and sitting at the right hand of God waiting for you to come to Him. If you want more information about Jesus and how you can know Him personally, check out this link http://worshippingchristian.org/accept_jesus.html

TOM Cruise is the new “Christ” of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion.

The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been “chosen” to spread the word of his faith throughout the world.

And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion.

A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the church’s top levels, said: “Tom has been told he is Scientology’s Christ-like figure.

“Like Christ, he’s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realise he was right.”

Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the ’80s. Leader L Ron Hubbard claimed humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.

“2007 Off to an Ominous Start” by Terry James

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Signs in the sun, moon, and stars; the seas and waves roaring; distress and perplexity of nations; Israel a burdensome stone and cup of trembling to the world–the year 2007, indeed, seems to have launched Planet Earth into perilous times.

My good friend and colleague, J. Michael Hile (Mike), has done an interesting study on cycles of history. Researching the generations of man has been a particular area of analysis for Mike over the years, leading him to produce Timeline 2000–a book that presents some fascinating facts on the generations as juxtaposed against biblical records of mankind.

His new research effort reveals some intriguing things about the 490-year cycles he has discovered, with years ending in the number 7 at the heart of the study. We are, according to Mike’s research, apparently at the end of one such cycle. Mike Hile, and certainly Rapture Ready, do not set dates, or make any sort of predictions of a prophetic nature in any sense whatsoever. As the author of the 490-year cycle study states: “…It should be emphasized that these findings in no way suggest or imply that anything prophetic will happen this year, next year, or at any time in the future. Only God knows the future.”

Hile’s charts are, however, something I believe the prophecy student or anyone interested in studying history in greater depth might want to look at in attempting to understand how things involving mankind are moving toward consummation.Certainly, when looking at the way things are shaping up, the year 2007 seems pivotal.

One area of my interest as of late has been the UFO phenomenon that has stepped up in reported sightings since the 1947 Roswell incident, and even earlier in 1947 when “flying saucer”-like discs were seen soaring over mountains in Washington State. I have related before in Nearing Midnight articles that I believe such phenomena were prophesied by Jesus In Luke chapter 17, in which He foretold that things would again be like in the days of Noah,as the time of His return to earth draws near.

One disturbing thing going on during the antediluvian time was the “Sons of God” visiting the planet. This created order was, I’m convinced, the fallen angels who followed Lucifer in the rebellion against the Creator. Jude 6-7 tells of them and their fate.

Jesus prophesied that the end of history just before His return would be marked by signs in the sun, moon, and stars. He said that people’s hearts would fail for things they see coming upon the earth. While sightings of UFOs haven’t yet reached the levels that cause hearts to fail, the year 2007 has already produced signs in the heavens that are at the very least disconcerting to many. The other-worldly craft hovering over O’Hare Airport near Chicago recently–reported by numerous observers that were credible as witnesses–came to light early in this first month of the new year. And, now, another sighting by a credible witness, a former F-16 pilot quite familiar with what is and isn’t earthly aircraft, recorded sighting UFOs near his home in western Arkansas.

I continue to believe these manifestations of other worlds visiting earth will proliferate, the nearer we get to Christ’s Second Coming. The visitors are, however, I’m convinced, not extraterrestrial, but interdimensional in character. They are the minions of Satan. The year 2007 is off to a startling beginning in that regard. The seas and waves are roaring as we begin 2007.

This, according to many prophecy scholars, has two basic meanings:

1) The “seas” represent the peoples of the world being extremely restless –even in chaos. 2) These are actual, literal, physical seas and waves roaring, as the very geophysical elements cry out to be noticed.

With the wars and rumors of war on the world scene at present, can there be any argument that the seas of people are in tumult? Equally so, can it be argued against, that the geophysical elements, the literal ocean, and land storm systems have fired up the meteorological radars during the start of the new year? Strange things, weather-wise, are happening in places unfamiliar to such harsh weather phenomena; for example, record-breaking snowfall has blanketed places like Los Angeles, and tornadic windstorms have hammered places like northern Europe, where 25 were killed by weather-related means within the past few days of this writing.

Jesus said the nations will be in great perplexity when the time of His Second Coming nears. This seems to indicate that the nations will be almost rudderless. They will be floundering on those wild metaphorical seas that will be roaring. Leaders of our time are searching in every world nook and cranny, trying to find a course that will provide direction upon which they can set their ships of state to sail.

The nuclear sword of Damocles hangs over us all, while world diplomats search for ways to keep the atomic genie from getting out of the bottle for the second time in the war-making sense. The nation Israel in 2007 sits in the heart of its ancient, God-given land, with Jerusalem and the Temple Mount at the center of the three millennia-long controversy that threatens to release that genie. Zechariah’s prophecy is shaping up in a major way. Israel is already, in this new year, a “cup of trembling” and a “burdensome stone” to the whole world.

Fears of North Korea’s atomic threat pale in comparison to the threat of that tiny nation, Israel, possessed of great nuclear power, threatened by the Islamic crazies that hold sway over many millions of its blood-vowed enemies.

Ancient Persia – foretold by Ezekiel the prophet to be part of a destructive military storm that will invade toward Israel in the latter day—in its modern incarnation, has a leader whose prime reason for existence, according to his ideology and theology, seems to be to get rid of Israel and to kill every Jew in the Middle East, if not the world. In 2007, we face the likes of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who believes if he can just start World War III, thus bringing on Armageddon, the 12th Imam –Islam’s Messiah—will be joined by Jesus in bringing Allah’s perfect world upon earth.

But take heart, the REAL Jesus is coming! This all means that the intensity and frequency of the birth pangs Jesus predicted are with us, and growing ever stronger in their convulsing end-time swells. The end of this very troubled age is at hand seems to be the message we are getting as 2007 begins.

Only Israelis can be Terrorist at the Associated Press

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs makes this point about the gyrations the Associated Press goes to in order to avoid labeling anyone as a “terrorist”…that is until an Israeli does something similar and then they’re all over it.

The Associated Press never uses the word “terror” without enclosing it in quotes; they don’t use it to describe beheading videos, they don’t use it to describe Palestinian suicide bombings, and even Osama bin Laden is now regularly labeled a “Saudi dissident.” This is a deliberate policy; as they have explained on several occasions, to the AP one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.

But here’s a case where the AP shuts off the Acme T-Quote Generator and flashes the word TERROR right in the headline—and the article itself tells a very different story. Can you guess why?

From the Associated Press:

Israeli Jew charged in terror plan

JERUSALEM – Asaf Ben-David, an Israeli Jew, is facing charges of conspiring to carry out a terror attack with a wanted Palestinian militant — his brother.

The exceptional story of Ben-David, a 38-year-old father of four, begins in Tubas, a village in the
West Bank, where he was born a Palestinian Muslim named Hussam Sawafta. In the early 1990s, he found work as a laborer in
Israel, where he converted to Judaism, lived as an Orthodox Jew, married an Israeli woman and raised a family.

For years, Ben-David led a seemingly uneventful life and had little contact with his Palestinian relatives. Then last month, the Israeli army killed his brother, Salah Sawafta, an Islamic Jihad militant, in a West Bank gunbattle. Last week, Ben-David was indicted on charges of helping his brother plan a deadly attack against Israelis.

According to the charge sheet, Ben-David surreptitiously had contact with his brother for months and tried to help him obtain a large amount of nitric acid, used to prepare bombs.

“In the framework of his contacts with Salah, the accused conspired with Salah to assist the Islamic Jihad in its war against Israel,” reads the indictment filed in Haifa District Court. Islamic Jihad has killed dozens of Israelis in suicide bombings.

On Sunday, the Sawafta family’s large home in Tubas was adorned with a black Islamic Jihad flag. In the living room was a picture of Salah Sawafta, who died in a gunfight with Israeli troops on Dec. 20.

Mahmoud Sawafta, a cousin, said Ben-David left Tubas to work in Israel 15 years ago, and didn’t return.

“He saw a different life, got married, and converted to Judaism,” Mahmoud Sawafta said. Ben-David worked in restaurants and construction, and had only sporadic contact with his West Bank family, his cousin said.

Amit Rosines, a court-appointed lawyer, said Ben-David told him he was scorned as a traitor on the few occasions he went back to the village. “People in the village shouted at him that he raised Jewish soldiers,” Rosines said.

Ben-David re-entered the life of the Sawafta family in earnest when his brother was killed, according to their father, Hafez Sawafta. He said he called his Jewish son the day his militant son was killed, and that Ben-David came to Tubas and stayed to mourn for three days.

When he returned to Israel, Ben-David decided to renounce Judaism and return to Islam, his father said. “He called me and said he had officially become Muslim again in a ceremony at a mosque, and said he wanted to give up his Israeli citizenship,” Hafez Sawafta told The Associated Press.

Sen. Clinton’s Abortion Record May Haunt ’08 Campaign

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

My mother told me that if I couldn’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all. Today I’ll accept her advice, and since I have absolutely nothing nice to say about either one of the Clinton’s, I’ll just keep my mouth shut. But…

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) will have a lengthy pro-abortion rights record to defend during her 2008 presidential campaign — a record established not only by her Senate votes but also by her eight years as first lady.

The presumed frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination, Clinton has a 100 percent rating from Planned Parenthood. The same can be said of Democratic Sens. Barack Obama of Illinois, John Kerry of Massachusetts, Joseph Biden of Delaware and former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards — all of whom are expected to challenge Clinton for the nomination.

Although helpful in a Democratic primary, a rigid stance on the issue could pose a challenge in a general election. Polls consistently show a majority of Americans support keeping abortion legal, but favor restrictions Clinton and many Democrats don’t support.

Furthermore, among those who base their electoral decision on the issue, polls show that pro-lifers outnumber pro-choice voters.

“She’s known for that position, though she may try to look more moderate,” said Karen Cross, political director for the National Right to Life Committee.

“You can look at her voting record and the fact that she was so visible in the Clinton years as opposed to others who were not as visible like [Connecticut Sen. Chris] Dodd and Edwards. She no doubt had influence when she was married to the president.”

According to documents obtained from the Clinton Presidential Library by Judicial Watch, a government watchdog group in Washington, President Clinton’s domestic policy advisors frequently involved the first lady’s staff in deciding White House abortion policy, and the president even asked “what does Hillary think?” before signing off on a policy.

“No one else – of the candidates currently in – is so tied to the issue, not only because of her past but because of her gender,” said Bruce Gronbeck, a professor of media studies and political culture at the University of Iowa.

But, he added, “I watched her in the last [Senate] campaign in New York and she neutralized the issue. She has taken the position that no one likes abortion, but it’s important that it’s legal.”

However, the presidential library documents indicate that Clinton as first lady played a major role in an administration that opposed a ban on partial birth abortion, opposed parental notification and favored public funding for abortion, said Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch.

Her voting record as senator reflects consistency with her White House advocacy, he said.

“People might misapprehend Hillary Clinton as a moderate on certain issues, when in fact on this matter she has taken a radical approach to abortion,” Fitton argued.

Religious Group Urges Mainline Churches to Abandon Abortion Rights Stance

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

This falls under the category of more “falling away” of the church as described by Paul in First and Second Timothy.

1 Timothy 4:1-2 says:
“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.”

And in 2 Timothy 4:1-4:
“In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”

Most, if not all, of the congregations listed as part of this group have been sited on this blog before because of other teachings they hold to that are not Biblically sound.

(CNSNews.com) – With the abortion issue’s increasing attention in the political atmosphere preceding the 2008 elections, some religious advocates have spoken out against the abortion rights stance of the mainline church.

This abortion rights support is seen by some as a “step away from the traditions and teachings of the church” and in a recent statement was described as “appalling.”

The Washington-based Institute on Religion and Democracy (IRD), revealed these views in a statement Friday prior to the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade case and the pro-life March for Life previously reported by CNSNews.com.

“Mainline churches” are parishes that stand in the theological and political middle, between the more liberal groups such as Unitarian Universalism and the more conservative fundamentalist and evangelical churches.

These mainline church agencies are more open to new ideas, and many have taken a pro-abortion stance with the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC).

“[The RCRC] has opposed all restrictions on abortion, including partial-birth abortion, and even parental notification,” said Mark Tooley, director of the IRD’s UM Action.

The RCRC was founded by clergy from mainline religions following the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case, to defend the newly won constitutional right to choice.

Among the church groups with affiliates supporting the RCRC are the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church, the United Church of Christ, the United Methodist Church, and several branches of Judaism.

‘Scientist’ Group’s Funding Comes with Liberal ‘Strings Attached’

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

It would be nice if all the “think tank” groups had enough integrity actually tell us the truth without being beholden preconceived ideas of the people funding them. Don’t look for it to happen though.

(CNSNews.com) – At a time when the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) is censuring free market organizations for accepting donations from ExxonMobil, critics have turned the spotlight back onto the UCS, its left-wing positions, and its own funding practices.

In a recent report, the UCS charged that organizations are using oil industry money to create public uncertainty about what it calls “consensus” about climate change and the role of human activity in affecting temperatures see related story. Organizations named in the report have denied the claims.

The UCS describes itself as an “alliance” of over 200,000 citizens and scientists that initially came together in 1969. It integrates “independent scientific research” with “citizen action” for the purpose of developing and implementing “changes to government policy, corporate practices and consumer choices.”

But critics say it is an openly political group.

According to James Dellinger, executive director of Greenwatch – a project of the Capital Research Center – the UCS has a long financial association with elements that have a “partisan view of science.”

David Martosko, executive director of ActivistCash.com – a division of the Center for Consumer Freedom – agrees. He told Cybercast News Service the UCS would be “more aptly named the Union of Pro-Regulation, Anti-Business Scientists.”

University of Virginia environmental scientist Fred Singer, labeled a “climate contrarian” by the UCS, told Cybercast News Service that the union had “zero credibility as a scientific organization” and was more akin to “pressure groups like Greenpeace.”

The UCS receives substantial donations from liberal-leaning foundations, and a number of the donations are earmarked for specific studies, used to promote positions on issues including the environment, disarmament and criticism of missile defense initiatives.

Private foundations cumulatively spend tens of millions of dollars annually on climate change projects, according to information made available through the foundations’ websites.

Stranger Than Fiction

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

As usual, Cox & Forkum have hit the nail on the head.
Apparently CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) is upset that an episode of the Fox hit series “24” dares to show Islamic terrorist blowing up a theme park, here in America, with a nuclear bomb.
Having watched “24” a few times, it is appears that they don’t show any favoritism, and at some point, have shown all groups involved as “bad” with the “heroes” just as diverse.

Stranger Than Fiction

This from Fox News:

CLIFTON, N.J. — Two years ago, Muslim groups protested when the plot of the hit Fox drama `24′ cast Islamic terrorists as the villains who launched a stolen nuclear missile in an attack on America.

Now, after a one-year respite during which Russian separatists played the bad guys on the critically acclaimed series, Muslims are back in the evil spotlight. Unlike last time, when agent Jack Bauer saved the day, the terrorists this time have already succeeded in detonating a nuclear bomb in a Los Angeles suburb.

Being portrayed again as the heartless wrongdoers has drawn renewed protests from Muslim groups, including one that had a meeting with Fox executives two years ago over the issue.

“The overwhelming impression you get is fear and hatred for Muslims,” said Rabiah Ahmed, a spokeswoman for the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations. She said Thursday she was distressed by this season’s premiere. “After watching that show, I was afraid to go to the grocery store because I wasn’t sure the person next to me would be able to differentiate between fiction and reality.”

She said the group had a conference call Wednesday with Fox executives to protest the current plot line and request more positive portrayals of Muslims on the show, but was not promised anything.

After a January 2005 meeting with CAIR, Fox aired a commercial in which the show’s star, Kiefer Sutherland, urged viewers to keep in mind that the show’s villains are not representative of all Muslims.

In a written statement issued late Wednesday night, the network said it has not singled out any ethnic or religious group for blame in creating its characters.

“24 is a heightened drama about anti-terrorism,” the statement read. “After five seasons, the audience clearly understands this, and realizes that any individual, family, or group (ethnic or otherwise) that engages in violence is not meant to be typical.

“Over the past several seasons, the villains have included shadowy Anglo businessmen, Baltic Europeans, Germans, Russians, Islamic fundamentalists, and even the (Anglo-American) president of the United States,” the network said. “The show has made a concerted effort to show ethnic, religious and political groups as multidimensional, and political issues are debated from multiple viewpoints.”

The current season began with Muslim terrorists waging an 11-week campaign of suicide bombings across America, culminating in the detonation of a suitcase-sized nuclear bomb in Valencia, Calif., about 26 miles north of Los Angeles. Estimated death toll: 12,000.

Watching the show’s characters talk about detonating a nuclear weapon a few blocks from where she works unnerved Sireen Sawaf, an official with the Los Angeles-based Muslim Public Affairs Council, and a self-described “huge `24′ fan.”

“It’s a great show, and I do realize it’s a multidimensional show that portrays extreme situations,” she said. “They have gone out of their way to have non-Muslim terror cells.

“But I’m concerned about the image it ingrains in the minds of the American public and the American government, particularly when you have anti-Muslim statements spewing from the mouths of government officials.”

Controversial Tests Reveal Virulence of 1918 Flu Virus

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

This should be something that people are more worried about. If the “bird flu” is a mutation of the 1918 virus, it could kill as many, if not more then it did in 1918, despite modern medical efforts.
It is alway best to take standard precautions anyway. Wash your hands often in hot water and anti-bacterial soap, cover your mouth with you cough or sneeze, and by all means, stay home if you are sick.

Tests with a revived version of the 1918 influenza have confirmed scientists’ worst fears, that it was the virus itself and not poor healthcare that led to the deaths of around 50 million people.

Although the experiments on macaque monkeys have triggered unease because of the risks, they have advanced understanding by underlining that it was the way the virus made the body’s “protective” immune system go into overdrive that made it so efficient in killing people in the prime of life when it infected one third of the world’s population.

And the findings underline why the recent emergence of the H5N1 avian influenza virus, and its transfer to the human population should be taken seriously and why public health officials should prepare for a possible new pandemic, for instance by developing drugs to damp down the body’s overzealous reaction.

The 1918 influenza virus, a bird virus which spread to people, replicates rapidly in macaques, causing respiratory problems, haemorrhage and death, reports a team led by University of Wisconsin-Madison virologist Prof Yoshihiro Kawaoka.

Although the body’s own immune defences are our first line of protection against disease, the study shows that it is this reaction to the 1918 influenza virus that could have been deadly, creating what is called a “cytokine storm” of the kind that almost killed six young trial volunteers given an experimental antibody drug at London’s Northwick Park Hospital last year.

As immune cells attack the respiratory system, the lungs fill with fluid and victim drown.

The 1918 virus “was indeed different from all of the other flu viruses we know of,” says Prof Kawaoka.

Knowing that the virus triggers such a devastating immune response may provide clues about how to mitigate the virus’ potentially lethal effects, he added.

“Things may be happening at an early time point (in infection), but we may be able to step in and stop that reaction.”

The new study, conducted at the Public Health Agency of Canada’s National Microbiology Laboratory used the 1918 flu virus, which has been reconstructed using genetic sequence information obtained from the victims of the great pandemic in a “reverse genetics” process

“This research provides an important piece in the puzzle of the 1918 virus,” explains lead author Darwyn Kobasa of the Public Health Agency of Canada.

The mechanisms that contribute to the lethal scale of the virus were uncovered using functional genomics, in which researchers analyse gene functions, by Prof Michael Katze, at the University of Washington, Seattle. “Our analysis revealed potential mechanisms of virulence, which we hope will help us develop novel antiviral strategies to both outwit the virus and moderate the host immune response.”

Dr Jim Robertson of the UK’s National Institute for Biological Standards and Control, said: “Many influenza virologists remain nervous about creating and experimenting with a reconstructed 1918 Spanish flu virus, an extremely dangerous virus which disappeared from the world long ago; however, it cannot be denied that the information that has been derived from this experiment is exciting and represents an important milestone.”

Dr Ronald Cutler, University of East London, said: “Understanding the true nature of a disease is a major step in developing an effective cure. In the recent pandemic, avian flu (H5N1) could also over stimulate the host immune system. This led to patient’s lungs filling with blood and death. Treating that over stimulation was one of the methods used to treat that disease.

Planned Parenthood Access to Public Purse in Jeopardy

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

It seems the abortionist can’t stay out of trouble these days. Maybe this will lead to even more closures.

Al Capone, one of the biggest influences in the annals of American crime, was brought down by the paperwork requirements of the federal tax system. Now pro-life activists believe the nation’s abortion industry could face a similar collapse, all because of the paper trail that they believe shows the industry has failed to follow the rules and file the proper reports.

“It’s a simple audit function,” Mark Crutcher, the chief of Life Dynamics, told WND. “All you have to do is go into a state … and look at Title X applications and service reports. Look for all the girls they provided treatment to – pregnancy tests, STD treatments, abortion or birth control. If they provided one of those services to a girl beneath the state’s age of consent, that triggers a report.”

“Then go to the … Department of Child Protective services (and look at reports). If those numbers don’t match, you’ve got a violation,” he said.

He said his research shows that the abortion industry “services” provided to underage girls across the nation outnumber the “reports” of suspicion of assault on a child by 11-1 – under the best of circumstances. “And most reports are not by providers; they’re made by pediatricians and emergency room physicians,” he said.

So what’s the big deal with the numbers aligning – or not? Money, money and more money. Millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions of dollars. And the Title X funding mechanism for the nation’s abortion industry that requires industry members to follow state laws, including those pesky reporting requirements – or lose the money.

Crutcher, in a Life Dynamics report, said the information about the reports comes from government sources, medical journals, independent researchers and the abortion industry itself.

“The fact that these family planning facilities are in clear violation of child abuse or statutory rape reporting requirements creates an environment for us to demand that their funding be immediately cut off,” Crutcher said. “Given their heavy reliance on state and federal tax dollars, losing that money would be nothing less than a financial catastrophe for these organizations.

“Better yet, their failure to adhere to state and federal law means that funds allocated in past years were obtained fraudulently. Because of that, we may be able to force a return of those funds. Needless to say that could literally cripple the entire abortion industry,” he concluded.

That means, according to Crutcher and Troy Newman of Operation Rescue, if the report numbers don’t line up, the abortion industry could be liable to return hundreds of millions of dollars in past and current payments.

“In all 50 states, sexual activity with underage children is illegal. Also, every state mandates that if a healthcare worker has reason to suspect that an underage girl is being sexually abused, they are required by law to report that information to a designated law enforcement or child protective services agency. That agency is then responsible to investigate the possibility that the child may be the victim of sexual abuse or statutory rape,” according to Life Dynamics.

A pregnancy in an underage girl is evidence of sexual abuse, and “any healthcare worker who has contact with a pregnant underage girl has an obligation to initiate a report to the state,” the report said.

Abortion industry lawyers repeatedly have claimed that their clients follow the law, including a special case in Kansas recently where a local prosecutor held a news conference to say late-term abortionist George Tiller had followed those reporting requirements, even though a case that had been brought against him didn’t make that accusation.

Government budgets show that in 2004 alone U.S. taxpayers allocated more than $280 million for birth control functions, focusing mostly on abortion services, including an estimate of between $50 million and $60 million just for Planned Parenthood, the industry’s biggest chain of businesses.

“If you’re not following state law, you’re not entitled to Title X funds,” Newman told WND. “As soon as you defund abortion clinics, they dry up and blow away.”

The U.S. “is funding the nation’s largest perpetrators of child-murder-by-abortion, Planned Parenthood (report murdering over 200,000 unborn children annually by surgical abortion alone), through both Medicaid (Title XIX) and Title X, with over $50 million per year through each program,” said Steve Lefemine, who was the Constitution Party’s candidate for Congress in South Carolina’s 2nd District.

Crutcher, who has spent years opposing the abortion industry agenda, said the industry used to be vulnerable to claims of malpractice from patients who were injured and left with permanent injuries.

But tort reform made such lawsuits negligible for the industry, and now he believes one option for pro-life advocates will be to have parents whose children have been victimized in abortion clinics to come forward, document their cases and possibly sue the clinics – or join a class-action case against the industry.

“We need a nation-wide well-funded effort to basically recruit parents whose children have been the victims of abortion clinics’ failure to adhere to state reporting laws. There are literally hundreds of thousands of these situations over the years,” he said.

The clinics have a vested interest in not having to report those child rape or child assault cases; the men who are doing the assaults are paying the fees for the abortions, but the price for the girls “is extremely high.”

“What happens when a 13-year-old girl goes into a Planned Parenthood facility. She’s demonstrating that she’s sexually active, obviously. According to the most reliable statistics out there now, (of girls 15 and younger) the chances are 60-to-80 percent that she’s sexually active with an adult,” Crutcher said.

“If this young lady is given an abortion, birth control or anything, and the health care provider fails to meet the state’s mandatory reporting laws, the child is sent right back into the hands of the rapist,” he said.

“The behavior of these abortion clinics, as we proved in our undercover survey, makes it absolutely clear they’re protecting the men, not the girls,” he said. “The result is that a child predator now is given the knowledge that he can get away with it.”

That undercover project involved Life Dynamics arranging for an adult volunteer to pose as a 13-year-old and call every Planned Parenthood clinic in the United States. She posed as that young teen, pregnant by her 22-year-old boyfriend, and asked for help because she didn’t want her parents to know. Almost without exception the recorded responses from the clinics advise her not only how to obtain an abortion without her parents’ knowledge, but also how to protect that adult boyfriend who is guilty in any state of statutory rape on child.

“While many clinic workers can be heard on the tapes telling the caller that this situation was unlawful and that they were legally mandated to report it to the state, 91 percent of these facilities still agreed to illegally conceal it,” Life Dynamics reported. “So it’s no wonder that abortion clinics are refusing to cooperate with law enforcement efforts to investigate child abuse. In Kansas, abortion clinic representatives have even gone so far as to state in published reports that they will not comply with the state’s mandatory reporting laws.

Crutcher said in his investigation, clinic workers even have been taped telling a person they believe to be a pregnant 13-year-old to have her “boyfriend,” a statutory rapist, take her across state lines without her parents’ knowledge for an abortion.

“What we have is a conspiracy to cover up the crimes that are being committed across the nation by sexual predators on behalf of the abortion cartel. Their love for money, their love for abortion is greater than their care for what actually is happening [to children],” said Newman.
