Take Away the Cross But Keep the Porn?

Monday, February 19th, 2007

The College of William & Mary sparked a media frenzy when they removed a cross from the chapel on campus. They were afraid that the cross would offend some students. However, pornography, stripping, and demonstrations of sex toys are apparently not on the list of things that offend. Recently, the college hosted something called The Sex Workers Art Show which featured topless dancers, demonstrations of sex toys, Q&As with male and female prostitutes. Prostitutes? Is prostitution legal in Virginia now? Does anyone else see the irony here or is it just me? Our nation is in serious trouble when pornography is acceptable, but the Cross of Jesus Christ is considered detestable. God help us!

Out with the cross, in with the strippers.

The formerly Christian college that sparked a national furor by removing a cross from its chapel in the interest of diversity this week packed out its auditorium with an explicit porn show.

The historic College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, whose chancellor is former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, was the scene of the Sex Workers Art Show Monday night – featuring topless dancers, demonstrations of sex toys, Q&As with male and female prostitutes – all in the name of empowering “sex workers.”

Some 400 people filled the university center’s auditorium and another 300 had to be turned away, according to a report in the Virginia Gazette.

Ukranian Infants Killed to Harvest Stem Cells

Monday, February 19th, 2007

This could eventually happen in the United States if something is not done to stop it.

Evidence from a video obtained by the BBC points to the stomach-churning possibility that healthy babies born in a Ukrainian maternity hospital were taken their mothers and then murdered so that large amounts of stem cells could be harvested from their brains and bone marrow. A spokesman for the hospital denies it is connected in any way with the use of stem cells — but one Ukrainian couple never saw their newborn daughter again after being told all was well and then told later she had died.

In the Ukraine, investigators are exploring the possibility that healthy infants and preborns were killed for stem-cell experimentation. It is speculated that the babies’ organs were extracted after allegedly being stolen from mothers by staff at Maternity Hospital Number Six in the eastern city of Kharkov.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) claims to have a video showing the autopsy examination of 30 infants and fetuses that were exhumed from a cemetery used by the Ukrainian maternity hospital. The video was also turned over to the Council of Europe who is now carrying out its own investigation as a response to about 300 families who are coming forward with charges against the hospital for allegedly taking and killing their newborns.

Democrats Want Bill to Take Over Hillary’s Seat IF She Becomes President

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Personally, I have seen and heard enough from the Clinton clan already. Anyone remember the “I did not have sex with that woman” speech? There has been scandal attached to the Clintons since he was the governor of Arkansas. Does New York really want to go there?

WASHINGTON – If Hillary Rodham Clinton wins the presidency, some top Democrats would like to see her husband, former President Bill Clinton, appointed to serve out Hillary’s unexpired Senate term.

“As a senator, he’d be a knockout,” said Harold Ickes, who was once a top White House aide to Bill Clinton and now gives behind-the-scenes advice to Hillary. “He knows issues, he loves public policy and he’s a good politician.”

Some Democrats and political analysts say Bill Clinton would thrive in the world’s greatest deliberative body, much like Lyndon Johnson did before he became president.

“President Clinton would excel in the Senate,” said Paul Begala, who helped Bill Clinton get elected and served in the White House as a top aide.

“Why not?” Begala added. “He excelled as attorney general and governor of Arkansas, he excelled as president and he’s been a model of the modern Senate spouse.”

Larry Sabato, director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, agreed.

“Clinton is a natural for the Senate,” Sabato said. “He loves to talk and schmooze. He could be a great vote-organizer. Majority Leader Clinton?”

Al Qaeda Chiefs Regain Power

Monday, February 19th, 2007

Al-Qaeda is gearing up for more terror attacks. Can someone alert the Democratic party of this? You see, the Democrats see no threat from groups such as Al-Qaeda. Well, they did see a threat when President Bush asked for backing to start the war on terror, because the majority of them were in agreement with him then. Seems the Democrats have forgotten September 11, 2001. I am sure it won’t be long before Al-Qaeda or another equally as slimy group helps them remember.

Senior leaders of Al Qaeda operating from Pakistan have re-established significant control over their once-battered worldwide terror network and over the past year have set up a band of training camps in the tribal regions near the Afghan border, according to American intelligence and counterterrorism officials.

American officials said there was mounting evidence that Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahri, had been steadily building an operations hub in the mountainous Pakistani tribal area of North Waziristan. Until recently, the Bush administration had described Mr. bin Laden and Mr. Zawahri as detached from their followers and cut off from operational control of Al Qaeda.

The United States has also identified several new Qaeda compounds in North Waziristan, including one that officials said might be training operatives for strikes against targets beyond Afghanistan.

American analysts said recent intelligence showed that the compounds functioned under a loose command structure and were operated by groups of Arab, Pakistani and Afghan militants allied with Al Qaeda. They receive guidance from their commanders and Mr. Zawahri, the analysts said. Mr. bin Laden, who has long played less of an operational role, appears to have little direct involvement.

Officials said the training camps had yet to reach the size and level of sophistication of the Qaeda camps established in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. But groups of 10 to 20 men are being trained at the camps, the officials said, and the Qaeda infrastructure in the region is gradually becoming more mature.
