More London Bombings On The Way, Warns Muslim

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

True to form, more threats of violence and bloodshed from the so-called religion of peace, aka Islam.

JERUSALEM – The thwarted car bombings in London last week and the terror attack this weekend against Scotland’s busiest airport were “completely justified” and likely the beginning of many more attacks in Britain, a prominent UK Islamist leader connected to terror supporting groups told WND yesterday.

“There is no doubt whatsoever that there will continue to be attacks against the British government, its interests and the home front as long as we see the continued British and American occupation of Muslim land in Iraq and Afghanistan, support for criminal Israel, and draconian measures taken against Muslims in the UK,” said Anjem Choudary, founder and former chief of two Islamic groups disbanded by the British authorities under antiterror legislation.

“A war is being waged against Muslims on every level. There are many in Britain who take their ideology from Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida and are ready to carry out many more attacks,” Choudary said.

Choudary said the attempted terror attacks the past few days were “probably carried out by local British Muslims.”

Choudary currently presents himself as an Islamic lecturer and a leader of Britain’s Shariah Islamic court. He is a founder and former chief of Al Muhajiroun, a British group that sought to impose an Islamic state on the UK and that was allied with the goals of al-Qaida.

Al Muhajiroun, officially disbanded by the British government citing antiterrorism laws in 2004, and its main leader, Omar Bakri Muhammad, were banned from the UK in 2005. Choudary then became a leader of Al Ghurabaa, which was reportedly a continuation of Al Muhajiroun. Al Ghurabaa was banned in 2006 by the UK for reportedly supporting terrorism.

Former Al Muhajiroun members led by Choudary reportedly continue their activism at public protests and on Internet forums under a new banner group called Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah.

Choudary last weekend led a protest outside London’s Central Mosque attended by WND and Talk Radio Network’s “The Rusty Humphries Show.” The protest called for the downfall of the British government for offering nighthood to novelist and essayist Salman Rushdie, who was accused by Muslims of defaming Islam and Muhammad in his 1998 book “The Satanic Verses.”

Depictions of British flags were burned at Choudary’s protest. Ralliers chanted, “Down with Britain, down with the Queen.”

Choudary told WND the perpetuators of the attempted terror attacks in London the past few days “have their own justifications for carrying out their plans.”

“Muslims in Britain are under siege. There has been unjustified internment, innocent Muslims are in prison, extradition laws have been applied for made up crimes, individuals are arbitrarily arrested. … Don’t be surprised when Muslims fight back,” he said.

British police said they arrested five people yesterday in conjunction with the airport attack carried out by two men driving a fuel-filled Jeep rammed into Scotland’s busiest airport. Police called the incident a terrorist attack linked to failed car bombings in London last week. The two men in the Jeep, who witnesses described as Asians, were immediately taken into custody. According to reports, one of them men was wearing an explosive device around his waist, said to be a suicide-bomb belt.

The airport attack came barely 36 hours after police thwarted what is being described to the media by security officials as a possible al-Qaida plot in London in which two cars loaded with fuel, gas canisters and nails were left in the center of the city poised to detonate.

Newly installed British Prime Minister Gordon Brown addressed his nation yesterday, stating Britons must realize the terrorist threat their country faces is long-term and sustained and that they must remain constantly vigilant about security.

The British Home Office raised the national security alert level to “critical,” the highest ranking and one which indicates further attacks are expected imminently.

“I want all British people to be vigilant and want them to support the police and all the authorities. … I know the British people will stand together united, resolute and strong,” Brown said.

The last terror attack in Britain took place in July 2005, when four British Islamists blew themselves up on London’s transport system, killing 52 commuters.

“The Unfairness Doctrine” by Todd Strandberg

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

The past couple of weeks, several Democratic Senators have generated a stir by publicly expressing their interested in bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. This rule was introduced at the beginning of the anti-Communist hysteria in the US in 1949. It required broadcasters to air contrasting viewpoints on controversial issues of public importance. It was eliminated in 1987 after the FCC found it had a “chilling effect” on free speech.

Back before the explosion in alternative media outlets, air time for any broadcast medium was very limited. Because it was so costly to operate a network, broadcasters had what we would call today a monopoly.

When I was growing up in Storm Lake, Iowa, we only had four TV channels. In the late ’70s, everyone in my household was thrilled when cable TV came to our town with 12 extra channels. Today we have over 300 major cable networks.

We now have so many forms of mass communication, I sometime wonder how each form of media can draw enough of an audience to be profitable. In the 1960s, television shows were cancelled for only drawing 20 million viewers. Today, “American Idol” would love to reach those kinds of numbers.

With the media now spread out over radio, print, TV, cable, satellite radio, and the internet, there is no need to require equal time. The whole problem here is the lack of liberal domination in one particular area of the media. Starting in the 1980s, conservatives began to make their presence known on talk radio. Rush Limbaugh, Shawn Hannity, and Bill O’Reilly are just a few names among many that have given a voice to people on the political right.

We have conservative dominance of talk radio is because liberals control nearly everything else. One of the main reasons the liberal “Air America” radio program has been mired in bankruptcy and financial problems since its inception is becasue there is an oversupply of liberal views. What made Fox News an instant success in the television market is the fact that ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and PBS all lean to the left.

Liberals also complain about conservative blogs. I don’t see how they could apply the need for fairness to the internet. Liberals can just open their own website.

What really gets my blood boiling is the hypocritical nature of liberal media. If they want to implement a fairness doctrine, they should start with their own networks. If the newsroom of the mainstream media is 90 percent liberal, it looks like we need to improve things by 40 percent.

I think the devil has put people into position of leadership to maintain his influence over this world. Satan is the instigator, but it takes human decisions to arrive at a point where liberals control key mainstream media outlets.

A culture of liberal bias is the reason you don’t see Christians sitting behind network anchor desks or as general editors of major newspapers. The glass ceiling that once barred women from holding important roles is now used to block conservatives from gaining important roles in the media. The liberal logic goes, “We can’t have Bob as the head of our Washington news division. He’s a devout Christian, so we need someone with an open mind.” Any actor who comes out publicly as a believer in Christ in Hollywood can basically kiss his or her career goodbye.

Right now, it doesn’t look like the Fairness Doctrine crowd will be winning this round. Some house Republicans, after hearing about the plan for the fairness doctrine, managed to get a rule inserted into one bill that prohibits the FCC from seting up such a mandate.

I don’t think Satan is going to give up. Because we know the tribulation will be a time when the antichrist is in full control of the world, at some point the devil is going to win the battle. The open nature of the media seems to indicate his victory will have to come from a legilative decision.

Talk radio reminds me of the night light I have in my kitchen. When the sun sets, a seven-volt light turns on, and it provides enough light to for me to walk in my kitchen, dining room, and living room. Liberals need total darkness in order to implement their plans.

I should clarify one thing. The battle here is not a classic good vs. evil match-up. I do believe the policies of liberals are heavily influenced by demonic forces, but conservatives are not necessarily the angels in this conflict. Many of the leading figures in talk radio are indifferent to Christian values. What makes these folks on the right helpful to the Kingdom of God is that they play a preventive role in politics. Liberals do their best to corrupt the morals of our nation and conservatives have traditionally stood in their way.

I believe the day may come when there is little different between Democrats and Republicans. I was very alarmed when I found out the top leading Republican presidential candidates all supported gay rights and abortion. Hopefully, Fred Thompson will restore sanity to the right.

The rapture could be what ultimately dooms conservative talk radio. When the Church is called home, right-leaning radio programs will lose a large portion of their audience. The U.S. Congress, with its sudden shift to the left, will easily pass rules that would put to shame any attempts at censorship being made today.

Gore’s Claims of Global Warming “Melting Away”

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Since “real” scientists are calling most of Gore’s global warming claims false, I suspect Al Gore is out of a job (so to speak). Hope this doesn’t mean he will run for president.

In his new book, The Assault on Reason, Al Gore pleads, “We must stop tolerating the rejection and distortion of science. We must insist on an end to the cynical use of pseudo-studies known to be false for the purpose of intentionally clouding the public’s ability to discern the truth.” Gore repeatedly asks that science and reason displace cynical political posturing as the central focus of public discourse.
If Gore really means what he writes, he has an opportunity to make a difference by leading by example on the issue of global warming.

A cooperative and productive discussion of global warming must be open and honest regarding the science. Global warming threats ought to be studied and mitigated, and they should not be deliberately exaggerated as a means of building support for a desired political position.

Many of the assertions Gore makes in his movie, ”An Inconvenient Truth,” have been refuted by science, both before and after he made them. Gore can show sincerity in his plea for scientific honesty by publicly acknowledging where science has rebutted his claims.

For example, Gore claims that Himalayan glaciers are shrinking and global warming is to blame. Yet the September 2006 issue of the American Meteorological Society’s Journal of Climate reported, “Glaciers are growing in the Himalayan Mountains, confounding global warming alarmists who recently claimed the glaciers were shrinking and that global warming was to blame.”

Gore claims the snowcap atop Africa’s Mt. Kilimanjaro is shrinking and that global warming is to blame. Yet according to the November 23, 2003, issue of Nature magazine, “Although it’s tempting to blame the ice loss on global warming, researchers think that deforestation of the mountain’s foothills is the more likely culprit. Without the forests’ humidity, previously moisture-laden winds blew dry. No longer replenished with water, the ice is evaporating in the strong equatorial sunshine.”

Gore claims global warming is causing more tornadoes. Yet the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change stated in February that there has been no scientific link established between global warming and tornadoes.

Gore claims global warming is causing more frequent and severe hurricanes. However, hurricane expert Chris Landsea published a study on May 1 documenting that hurricane activity is no higher now than in decades past. Hurricane expert William Gray reported just a few days earlier, on April 27, that the number of major hurricanes making landfall on the U.S. Atlantic coast has declined in the past 40 years. Hurricane scientists reported in the April 18 Geophysical Research Letters that global warming enhances wind shear, which will prevent a significant increase in future hurricane activity.

Two Terror Suspects Are Hospital Doctors

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Kinda of puts a kink in the theory that poverty drives Islam to do the evil things they insist on doing to everything non-Islamic.

Two of the five terror suspects being held in the wake of the failed car bombings in London and Glasgow are hospital doctors working in the UK.

The majority of the five terror suspects being held in police custody in connection with bomb attacks in London and Glasgow are not British and at least one is still at large, according to Sky sources.

Sky sources believe one of the men arrested at Glasgow airport and a 26-year-old man arrested on the M6 with a 27-year-old woman in Cheshire are both doctors.

Sky Crime Reporter Martin Brunt said: “This is very far removed from the picture we normally have. These are professional people with highly paid jobs who are intent on killing people.”

Two men were arrested after ramming a Jeep into Glasgow Airport on Saturday and two people were arrested on the M6. A fifth terror related arrest was made in Liverpool after a car was stopped in the Lime Street area of the city.

Meanwhile a suspect car has been blown up by police in the grounds of the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where one of the suspects from the Glasgow airport attack is in a critical condition and being held under armed guard.

The hospital was cordoned off and army disposal experts called in to carry out the controlled explosion.

Strathclyde Police said they believed the car was connected to the attack at Glasgow airport but did not contain explosives.

During the airport attack, two men rammed a burning Jeep Cherokee into the main terminal, leaving passengers screaming in terror.

It has since emerged the car was packed with gas canisters which would have caused massive casualties if they had exploded.

While the driver is in hospital being treated for burns, the second man in the car, a 27-year-old, is in police custody.

The attack follows the attempted bombings in London early on Friday morning, when two Mercedes packed with petrol and nails were parked in London’s West End near the Tiger Tiger nightclub.

Have y’all had enough of all these “peaceful” Muslims going around trying kill people yet? Nail bombs on busy streets, hospitals targeted, and busy airports damage. If these attempts had been successful, the loss of innocent lives would have been enormous. Enough is enough.

Muslim Warns of More London Attacks

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

An Islamist leader has called the recent terror attacks “completely justified”. Someone needs to tell him that God’s judegement upon these killers will also be completely justified.

Glasgow Police Arrest Two More Suspects in Airport Attack

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

More arrest are made in the Glasgow airport terror attack. The attack, although causing damage, failed to do the damage the terrorist were hoping for.

GLASGOW, Scotland — Police said Monday they arrested two more men as suspects in the car bomb attack on Glasgow airport.

Strathclyde police said two men, aged 25 and 28, had been detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, correcting an earlier report one suspect was 20 years old. “This continues to be a fast-moving investigation,” said Assistant Chief Constable John Malcolm.

Police kept up the intense hunt for more suspects behind failed terrorist attacks in London and Glasgow, as details emerged that authorities had been close on the trail of the airport bombers, one of whom may have been a local doctor.

Rental agent Daniel Gardiner, whose company leased a Glasgow-area home searched by police, said authorities contacted his firm just ahead of the Glasgow International Airport attack on Saturday.

Meanwhile, British police were sifting through large amounts of evidence from the vehicles and from video surveillance of the scenes where two car bombs failed to explode in central London on Friday and two men rammed a Jeep Cherokee into the Glasgow airport’s entrance the following day.

Police have arrested five suspects while conducting raids across a country on its highest level of alert and are searching for others. None of them have been identified, but British officials have said they are hunting for what they called an Al Qaeda-linked network behind the three attempted terrorist attacks.

Security in London was highly visible Monday morning, with long lines of cars forming behind police checkpoints on the London Bridge. Concrete car-blockers were in place protecting the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

“It is clear that we are dealing, in general terms, with people who are associated with Al Qaeda,” Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Sunday.

Brown, who replaced outgoing Prime Minister Tony Blair last week, said the threat would be “long-term and sustained” but said the country would not be cowed by the plot targeting central London and Glasgow’s airport.

“We will not yield, we will not be intimidated and we will not allow anyone to undermine our British way of life,” he said in a televised interview.

A British government security official said a loose U.K.-wide network appeared to be behind the attacks but investigators were struggling to pin down suspects’ identities.

“These are not the type of people who always carry identity documents, or who use their real identities,” the official said on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the inquiries.

Gardiner, an official at the Let-It house rental agency in Glasgow, said police contacted his company on Saturday afternoon, just minutes before the airport attacks.

“A card was put through one of my colleague’s door, asking if we would contact them,” he said. The colleague found the note at 3:05 p.m, 10 minutes before the airport attack, Gardiner said.

“A couple of hours later, they (police) came back to us with a name, and we were able to trace their records,” he said. “The police wanted to know why we had dialed a certain phone number. They had the phone records from the situation down in London.”

The unidentified driver of the Jeep is being treated for serious burns at Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital in Glasgow, where he is under arrest by armed police. A 27-year-old man also was arrested at the airport attack by police and was being held at a high-security police station in Glasgow.

Gardiner said the suspect tenant had a six-month lease on the house in Houston, a small suburb of Glasgow.

He said the man was seen leaving the house wearing a stethoscope and was thought to be a doctor at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley on the outskirts of Glasgow. A controlled explosion was carried out Sunday on a car left at the hospital. Police said it was linked to the airport attack.

Residents of homes that were raided by police in central England and Liverpool have claimed suspects arrested were doctors or medical students. Britain’s Sky News and several British newspapers also reported that two men arrested over the attacks were doctors working in British hospitals. But police in London and Glasgow have refused to comment on the claims.

Gardiner said his agency was only aware that one man was living in the rented Houston house, as it only had one tenant on their records.

Police interviewed staff at the Let-It office and took away all documentation about the tenant, he said.

On Sunday, police sealed off the address and spent the day searching the property for clues about the bomb plots.
