Homosexodus! Students Flee Forced ‘Gay’ Agenda

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

I’m not surprised about this.

Parents in California have started reacting to the state’s newly mandated homosexual indoctrination program by pulling their children out of classes, and state Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell is warning districts they’ll lose money if that happens.

A spokeswoman for a ministry called Considering Homeschooling said she already has seen an overwhelming increase in requests for information about homeschooling.

As a result, spokeswoman Denise Kanter told WND that her group is sending out 5,000 DVD packages to churches around the state that include basic “how-to” information to provide parents a direction to turn when they choose to protect their children from the new school agenda.

The new law demands, “No teacher shall give instruction nor shall any school district sponsor any activity that promotes a discriminatory bias because of a characteristic [including perceived gender.]”

“With the passing of SB 777, a Christian parent cannot, in good conscience, send their child to a public school where their child will be taught or coerced into a lifestyle or belief system that is contrary to the faith they hold dear,” Kanter told WND.

“Fortunately, SB 777 has caught the attention of many churches and pastors here in California, and as they should, they are calling on their congregants to take their children out. To help in this endeavor, our ministry has sent and will continue to send out free packages directly to churches containing information on how they can encourage their congregants to homeschool their children, as well as how to create in-church parent led schools,” she said.

“We hope our resources will encourage Christians to focus on the importance of not leaving Christ out of a child’s education,” she said.

Hillary Clinton fundraiser indicted in NY

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

The dirt of Hillary Clinton and the “Dirty Dems” continues to ooze out of their political machine.

NEW YORK – Top Democratic fundraiser Norman Hsu swindled investors out of millions of dollars and made illegal donations to the political campaigns of congressional and presidential candidates, including Hillary Clinton, prosecutors said.

A federal grand jury on Tuesday indicted Hsu on charges of cheating investors of at least $20 million. In a 15-count indictment, the government accused the 56-year-old clothing-industry entrepreneur of duping investors nationwide with a massive Ponzi scheme.

Federal prosecutors said Hsu hoped his lavish campaign contributions would help draw money to his scheme by raising his public profile. To achieve his aims, prosecutors said, Hsu pressured many of his victims to contribute thousands of dollars to various candidates.

Ninth Circuit Hears Religious Liberty Cases

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

He’s at it again.

The cases, filed by atheist Michael Newdow, question the constitutionality of the Pledge of Allegiance in schools and the national motto, “In God We Trust,” which is featured on U.S. currency. The Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) presented arguments in the motto case, and PJI president Brad Dacus says both cases are significant — in terms of religious freedom.

“You know, the history and heritage of this country, as we argued in a lower court … very clearly point to the fact that we are a nation that has put our trust in God in terms of both our Declaration of Independence as well as our whole concept of where our rights and fundamental liberties come from,” argues Dacus.

Dacus says that Newdow has a clear and public agenda. He says the devoted atheist is bent on removing any reference to God from public view, and that he is zealous in that attempt. The attorney vows that his legal firm is just as resolute in defending the right of religious expression. The Ninth Circuit is expected to rule on both cases sometime next year.

Grand Jury Given Green Light Against KS Abortionists

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Tiller, you’re going down.
Also, check out the great information on Rick’s Pro-life, Creation Science, & Anti-pornography Blog.

A Kansas pro-life activist says there are no further legal hurdles preventing a grand jury from investigating alleged illegal abortion activities by Planned Parenthood and Wichita abortionist George Tiller.

Planned Parenthood has dropped plans to file a motion with the Kansas Supreme Court, asking it to block the citizen-called grand jury in Johnson County from investigating the abortion business. Last week, the court rejected a similar action by late-term abortionist George Tiller of Wichita, who is also facing an investigation for allegedly violating state laws.s

Troy Newman, president of the Kansas-based Operation Rescue says, “Pro-life victories are few and far between, and we need to enjoy each and every one of them — and this is certainly a victory. Operation Rescue has put a lot of effort [and] a lot of money into filing Supreme Court briefs blocking their actions to commit illegal activities.”

Pelosi Accused of Turning Blind Eye to Public Nudity, Sex in San Fran

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Congrats people. This is the leadership you put in office in order to “punish” President Bush. Good Job…NOT!!

Conservative activist groups are continuing to call on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-California) to condemn the “illegal public nudity and sex” that took place a little more than two months ago in her San Francisco district.

The grassroots activist group Americans for Truth About Homosexuality plans to use a news conference at the National Press Club this afternoon to show uncensored video footage of what it calls “rampant illegal public nudity and perverse sex at the Folsom Street Fair” in San Francisco. According to Americans for Truth (AFT), the homosexual festival on September 30 featured public nudity, “groups of men engaged in orgies on San Francisco streets,” and “blatant anti-Christian bigotry.”

While [Matt Barber of Concerned Women for America (CWA)] believes many politicians like Pelosi are afraid to say anything negative about the powerful lobby group and the “dangerous and immoral homosexual lifestyle” it represents, the CWA spokesperson says California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Senators Barbara Boxer (D-California) and Dianne Feinstein (D-California) all still have an opportunity to put an end to the Folsom Street debauchery.

Hyping Hate Crime Vs. Muslims

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

IBC Editorials has an article citing “new FBI data on hate crimes reveal Muslim groups are crying wolf about exploding anti-Muslim abuses. They’re actually shrinking, belying claims of mass Islamophobia.”

Islamophobia Graph

Not only are anti-Islamic hate crimes way down, but they’re a fraction of overall religious hate crimes. The overwhelming majority of such crimes target Jews, something CAIR and other Muslim groups don’t seem all that concerned about.

In 2006, a whopping 66% of religiously motivated attacks were on Jews, while just 11% targeted Muslims, even though the Jewish and Muslim populations are similar in size. Catholics and Protestants, who together account for 9% of victims, are subject to almost as much abuse as Muslims in this country.

Last year’s anti-Islamic hate crimes totaled 156. While just one hate crime is one too many, that’s a 68% drop from 2001.

The FBI report gives lie to CAIR’s alarmist narrative of “Islamophobic” lynch mobs marching on mosques across America. In reality, Americans have been remarkably, and admirably, tolerant and respectful of Muslims and their institutions since 9/11.

It’s plain that CAIR, which claims to be the “Muslim NAACP,” has been hyping tensions.

Every year the pressure group releases a report citing thousands of alleged civil-rights and physical abuses against Muslims, which largely are based on anecdotal reporting from members. Despite CAIR’s obvious bias (and proven record of dissembling), the PC-addled media report its numbers unfiltered and without question.

But if you peel them back, you find they’re mostly victimless crimes. For instance, in its 2006 report released in June, CAIR listed as a “hate crime” the following example: “A copy of the Quran was found in a toilet at the library of Pace University in New York.” There are other atrocities, too, such as someone trampling on a “flower bed” at a mosque in Texas.

Muslim Scholars Debate Apostates in Islam

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

An apostate is someone who chooses to leave a religion. In this case, Muslim scholars were debating what to do with people who choose to leave or not accept Islam. As you watch the exchange, the responses from the audience is scary. This should give you a feel for how the “rank and file”; the typical Muslim feels about all the rest of us and what they should do with us.

Following are excerpts from a debate on apostates in Islam, which aired on Al-Risala TV on November 5, 2007.

Al-Sweidan: Before the break, I asked our audience for their views on this important issue. Does a Muslim have the liberty or the right to change his religion? The results are as follows: 24% said: “Yes, he has the right to change his religion.” 76% of the people said: “No.” Let’s hear some opinions and then I will return to our guests.

Audience member: Sir, if you become an apostate, your punishment is death. There is a great problem that most of us, 70% of us, are Muslims because they were born to Muslim fathers and mothers. Before a person converts to Islam, he has the liberty to choose, but remember that if you want to convert from Islam, you will be punished by death. So you have the liberty to choose, but on the condition…

Al-Sweidan: That’s not liberty.

Audience member: It has conditions…

Al-Sweidan: What you are saying is: You have the right to become an apostate, but I will kill you.

Audience member: That’s right. I won’t tell him not to.

Al-Sweidan: What can be worse than being killed?

Audience member: That’s why he will not become an apostate.

Gamal ‘Allam: Islam is the only religion that begins with the imperative “Read.” It is the only reasonable and convincing religion.

Al-Sweidan: But what if a person is not convinced?

Gamal ‘Allam: Then there is something wrong in his head.

Al-Sweidan: That’s what you think, but isn’t he entitled to have something wrong in his head?

Gamal ‘Allam: Anybody who is insane should go to a mental asylum, or else if he is insane, his head should be removed so that it does not contaminate the heads of others.

“Am I My Brother’s/Sister’s Keeper? The White Man’s Burden in the Twenty-First Century” by Dr. Phyllis Chesler

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

Although I knew and admired the late, great Dr. Margaret Mead and other pioneer-anthropologists, (Ruby Rohrlich and Eleanor “Happy” Leacock for starters), my ardor for anthropology gradually dimmed as the discipline became increasingly politicized. Ironically, anthropologists have judged western culture harshly and moralistically as “sexist, racist, class-ist, and anti-gay”—but have refused to judge Third World cultures even slightly by these same standards. Indeed, what began as a valiant attempt to understand the “Other” and the ravages of both poverty and oppression has degenerated into a valorization of barbarism and a demonization of any western attempts to either intervene or to introduce any principles of universal rights.

A minority of anthropologists deem the idea of “universality” as an example of rank, western “colonialism and imperialism.” And yes, they remain blind to Third World colonialism, imperialism, and apartheid. In some ways, anthropologists may be viewed as world-class “slummers” who want to keep the Natural Savage in his place so that they can safely visit the human past and return to the future at will.

Therefore, I strongly suggest that every anthropologist read Ibn Warraq’s new book, Defending the West: A Critique of Edward Said’s ‘Orientalism’. PRESS HERE TO READ SOME REVIEWS. More: I suggest that the United States government buy and distribute copies of this book to every United Nations Ambassador, Foreign Minister, and University President.

Ibn Warraq challenges the hijacking and poisoning of the Western intellectual imagination that Edward Said and his cult-followers have perpetrated. Ibn Warraq reminds us that in the past, the West and the East once learned from each other; that Orientalists were not immoral “colonialists” but were, in fact, deeply respectful of the “Orient” which in turn, respectfully received their work. Finally, Ibn Warraq creates a portrait of the West and of our virtues (rationalism, tolerance, self-criticism), that he suggests are universal values worth sharing and defending. For example, slavery has existed in every society. Only the West fought ideological and military wars to abolish it.

But will anthropologists listen to him?

Enter my darling friend, Dr. Barbara Joans, of San Francisco. Dr. Barbara is Chair of the Anthropology Department at Merritt College and the author of Bike Lust: Harley’s Women in America. (Yes, I actually have a friend who rides a Harley-Davidson and who is not a dyke.) She is a long-time married mother and grandmother, a Brooklyn-born Jew, and a relative of the legendary Colonel David “Micky” Marcus.

For those who don’t know or who have forgotten: Marcus was a West Point graduate and advisor to President Roosevelt. He helped organize the Israeli army in the 1940s and was eventually played by Kirk Douglas in the movie “Cast a Giant Shadow.”

But I digress.

Barbara is not a universalist. However, she wrestles with this issue earnestly and soulfully; she is also brave. For example, she just delivered a series of speeches at the annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association in Washington D.C. where she publicly characterized much of current anthropology as “hypocritical”.

“How dare tenured anthropologists claim the privileges of poverty and disenfranchisement? Just because we may have grown up poor that does not mean we can identify with Third World poverty today or speak on its behalf. It is hypocritical to do so.”

Barbara also views the “victim culture” among anthropologists with great dismay and is very concerned with the knee-jerk and lethal anti-Zionism that pervades that same anthropological culture. So far—great. Now, here’s the part where we disagree.

“The belief that American intellectual elites have the right to establish a moral foundation for the rest of the world is the grossest kind of colonialism.”

Say I: “So, you don’t think we should judge human rights atrocities in the Third World? What about stoning women to death for alleged adultery, honor killing, forced veiling, and clitoridectomies? Do we support our Muslim and ex-Muslim counterparts who oppose such human rights atrocities and who themselves reject the rule of multi-culturalism?”

Says Barbara: “I am horrified by clitoridectomies, stonings, and honor killings and am very grateful that I do not live in such a culture. Those who come from such cultures and who nevertheless oppose these customs have got to know that their dissent may or will lead to their deaths. They have got to be willing to take this risk. I view those who do so as genuine heroes. This is the only way real change can happen: from within, by group-members, who risk their lives.”

I view this as somewhat heartless, possibly even “racist” since such a view sets the bar much higher for heroism in the Third World and countenances the sacrifice of so many Third World heroes for what is, after all, a western principle—but since I know that Barbara is not heartless, I must wrestle with her principled view and try to find ways to win her over.

What she is saying is that help from the United Nations, the Marines, and from feminist humanitarians is bound to fail, that only indigenous heroes risking all will settle these matters in Africa or Asia and among immigrants from Muslim countries.

What if she is right? If so, then we have to re-double our efforts to have our best anti-totalitarian, feminist, and dissident work translated and made available in Arabic, Kurdish, Persian, Bengali, Dari, etc. And, we have to lobby our western governments to assist in literacy projects, free computers, computer training, and in alternative satellite television programming throughout the Third World. This educational outreach may create the very indigenous heroes that Barbara and others like her believe will be effective.

I challenge America’s anthropologists and all those who share their multi-cultural views to tithe themselves in order to fund projects which will share the “best of the West” without militarily or economically imposing these ideas upon anyone.

They and others may begin by donating to my not-for-profit organization: The Phyllis Chesler Organization. Write to me through my website and earmark your checks “For the Translation Project.”

Think of this as your holiday gift to heroes.
