Pittsburgh Anti-War Protesters Plan to Kidnap Military Recruiters

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

kid·nap: To seize and detain unlawfully.
Kidnapping: Illegal capture or detention of a person or people against their will.

This is exactly what the POG plans to do next week.

On Wednesday, March 19, POG will be holding a torch-lit march to a modern day castle of abominations—our local military recruiting station. If the station remains open, we intend to evict it and everything inside of it, occupy the location, and transform it into something useful for the community. We’ll also be bringing a movable cage in which to confine military recruiters until they no longer pose a danger to our friends and neighbors.

I’m not sure how Pennsylvania treat’s it’s kidnappers, but I did find this Idaho sentencing guideline that seems to be pretty typical among the states:
TITLE 18
CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS
CHAPTER 45
KIDNAPING
18-4504. PUNISHMENT — LIBERATION OF KIDNAPPED PERSON.
1. Every person guilty of kidnapping in the first degree shall suffer death or be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for life, provided a sentence of death shall not be imposed unless the prosecuting attorney filed written notice of intent to seek the death penalty as required under the provisions of section 18-4504A, Idaho Code, and provided further that the sentence of death shall not be imposed if prior to its imposition the kidnapped person has been liberated unharmed.
2. Kidnapping in the second degree is punishable by imprisonment in the state prison not less than one (1) nor more than twenty-five (25) years.

High School Offers Homosexual Porn

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

I have pointed out many failings of the education system over the years, but this type of thing is becoming more prevalent.

(CNSNews.com) – Parents in Deerfield, Ill., are upset that a local high school is using books in advanced English classes this spring that they say are laced with graphic sexual content, pervasive expletives and mockery of religion. Worse, the books – “Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes (Parts 1 2)” – are required reading for advanced placement English students at Deerfield High School, but a parents’ group wants them removed. “Who would have ever thought that we would be handing out pornography in public schools?” asked Lora Sue Hauser, executive director of North Shore Student Advocacy, and a Deerfield parent.
