Obama “Quite Religious” in Islam

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

Was Sen. Barack Obama a Muslim? Did he ever practice Islam?

The presidential candidate officially rejects the claims, but the issue of Obama’s personal faith has re-emerged amid conflicting accounts of his enrollment as a Muslim during elementary school in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation.

Widely distributed reports have noted in January 1968, Obama was registered as a Muslim at Jakarta’s Roman Catholic Franciscus Assisi Primary School under the name Barry Soetoro. He was listed as an Indonesian citizen whose stepfather, listed on school documents as “L Soetoro Ma,” worked for the topography department of the Indonesian Army.

Catholic schools in Indonesia routinely accept non-Catholic students, but exempt them from studying religion. Obama’s school documents, though, wrongly list him as being Indonesian.

After attending the Assisi Primary School, Obama was enrolled – also as a Muslim, according to documents – in the Besuki Primary School, a public school in Jakarta.

Muslim Students Learn Well From Their Parents; Tear Down Art Exhibit, Threat to Burn School

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

It would seem that Muslim youth in the Netherlands have been learned their lessons well. In response to an art exhibit against discrimination, Muslims students tore down the exhibit and threatened to burn down the school.
Isn’t it wonderful how peaceful and tolerant the next generation of Muslims is going to be? Just like their parents.

NIJMEGEN, 02/04/08 – A school in Nijmegen yesterday cancelled a cartoon exhibition about discrimination following threats by Muslim pupils. Before this decision was taken, the exhibition was already literally destroyed.

Muslim pupils of the ROC Nijmegen, a large school with largely immigrant pupils, pulled cartoons from the walls shortly before these were to be presented officially. They also threatened to set the school alight. The school management decided to call off the opening.

In the exhibition, artists expressed their vision on discrimination in a humorist manner. “My expectation was that the pupils would be able to laugh about it”, Ralph Sluis stated. He heads a local anti discrimination organisation. Sluis was the exhibition’s coordinator.

A total of fifteen cartoonists worked on the exhibition. According to Sluis, the trouble was sparked by a work by cartoonist Peter de Wit, which shows two women in niqabs, the all-covering Islamic garments.

In the cartoon, one niqabed woman tells the other: “You filthy Muslim”. The other one replies: “Yes I know, I’ll wash”. This woman smells bad, the cartoon shows.

The cartoon’s message is that someone is not filthy if they wear a niqab. “A small group of pupils interpreted the cartoons in an entirely different way than the artist intended”, Sluis stated.

Evolution’s Big Problems, Part 2

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

I posted a summary about some of the biggest problems with the theory of evolution and why there is no way it could be true.
The commentator I sited in that post made this observation:
“After scientific evidence can be eliminated, it can be concluded that people believe in evolution for 1 or 2 main reasons:

1. Societal/Peer Pressure (“people told me to believe it” or “lots of other people believe it, so I should too.”)
2. Personal Desire (i.e. “if God exists, I have to follow some rules I’m not too fond of”)

Essentially, evolution is a religion. It was concocted over 150 years ago, and they’re still searching for that first shred of evidence. At this point, they seem to have given up on evidence, and instead just combine wild, improvable theories with excuses.”

Why would someone be compelled to believe in a theory as outlandish as evolution? Why would they defend it with such ferocity? I mean, they are scientist, aren’t they? Scientist are supposed to be open minded and allow themselves to discard theories that are found to be flawed or false. Yet these people hang on to Darwin’s theory better than most Christians hold to the Bible.

This next statement is a generality, and as such, there are certain demographics who will be caught in it that are not actually of the specific mindset I am about point out. I apologize in advance for lumping you in with these other folks. From the comments I have read across numerous forums, I have surmised that many staunch evolutionist are also atheist . They are the ones who fall under reason number two above for believing in evolution.

It makes perfect sense.

Who has more to loose, by admitting that evolution is false, than an atheist? No one really.

You see, if an atheist is forced to admit that he was created, versus being the result of a statistically impossible cosmic accident, he now has to face his biggest fear; putting a name on his creator.

Now if he were to actually take this huge step of admitting there is a creator , he could (and probably will) advance numerous theories of who this creator is, with each of these theories having even less evidence than Darwin’s failed theory of evolution, all the while ignoring the name that most of us already know and acknowledge.

The name of our creator, in case you haven’t figured it out yet, is God. Elohim, El Shaddai, Adonai and Jehovah are just a few of the variations of His name. They basically mean the same thing; God Almighty, Creator of the Universe.

Why don’t the atheist want to name God as the creator of the universe? Our esteemed commentator above stated the real reason why atheist will hold to the failed theory of evolution in order to avoid acknowledging the name of our creator.

“If God exists, I (the atheist) have to follow some rules I’m not too fond of”.

There it is in plain and simple verbiage. They must acknowledge God and His rules. An impossible task for a person who is the self-appointed Godhead of their own little universe; a universe built on statistical impossibilities, a universe where living matter spontaneously erupts from non-living matter in violation of all physical laws; a universe of complex beings stumbling out of pools of warm goo; a universe where fish become cats and elephants become whales.

Atheist, wouldn’t it just be easier to put all of your “hocus-pocus, something out of nothing” mentality behind you and just accept the Truth that is staring you in the face?

Stop holding to your false religion of evolution and accept a real relationship with our living creator, God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ!
