Democratic Convention Chief Wants Reparations for Blacks

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Go ahead, Dems. Go ahead and keep pushing this. I can’t think of a better way to get the whole bunch of you removed from office in the next election.

The leader anointed by the Democratic Party to assemble the coronation of a 2008 presidential candidate in Denver in two weeks espouses the same black liberation theology pursue by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, whose church presumptive nominee Barack Obama was forced to leave because of its controversies.

Those included Wright’s condemnation of America, a vicious attack on Hillary Clinton from the pulpit and others, and WND reported when, finally, the Obama campaign announced he was resigning his 20-year membership in the controversial organization.

Now a profile in the New York Times has revealed that Rev. Daughtry, whose father, Herbert Daughtry, who served prison time during his 20s for armed robbery and bad checks, also runs a church, shares popular “black liberation theology” beliefs such as the “debt” the United States “owes” all blacks as reparations for the existence of slavery two centuries back.

In a description of the church where family members have preached for decades, the Times said, “Below the sanctuary, in the fellowship hall, a banner for slavery reparations proclaimed, ‘They Owe Us.’ Fliers recounted Herbert Daughtry’s arrest, a few weeks earlier, as he led marchers protesting the not-guilty verdict in the police killing of Sean Bell, an unarmed black man. His ministry has always combined consuming spirituality with black liberation theology – the theology Jeremiah Wright invoked this spring to defend his controversial sermons – and zealous political activism. Leah holds these forces within her.”

Could Obama Strike Down All State Pro-Life Laws?

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

The proposed Democratic Party platform announces unequivocal support for Roe v. Wade and direct taxpayer funding of abortions. Steven Ertelt, editor of, obtained the draft platform from a pro-life group that is urging the Democratic Party to moderate its stance on abortion.

Ertelt says the platform draft also expresses support for the so-called “Freedom of Choice Act” — a bill Senator Obama promised Planned Parenthood last summer would be the first piece of legislation he signs as president. According to Ertelt, the measure would overturn all of the pro-life laws nationwide.

“In other words, that piece of legislation would overturn any laws that any state legislature has passed — for example, prohibiting taxpayer funding of abortion, allowing parents a right to know when their teenage daughters are considering having an abortion, a right to know or informed consent, or any other common-sense limits like partial-abortion bans that we’ve put on the books. That would overturn all of those laws,” he states bluntly.

Deceptive’ Tactics Continue to Undermine Prop. 8

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

At least some supporters of homosexual “marriage” in California are resorting to deceptive tactics to try to gain the support of voters who outlawed the practice only eight years ago.

bogus bumper stickerFirst it was California Attorney General Jerry Brown changing the ballot title — from defining marriage as between one man and one woman, to eliminating the right of same-sex couples to marry. Now an unidentified supporter of same-sex marriage has printed bumper stickers that inaccurately encourage people to “Preserve Marriage: Vote NO on Prop. 8.”

But a “no” vote on Proposition 8 would not preserve marriage; it would, in fact, allow the redefinition of real marriage to include counterfeit unions between homosexual couples. Attorney Brad Dacus, president of the Pacific Justice Institute, represents supporters of the marriage protection amendment.
