When Did We Become A Country of Barbarians?

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:10 pm by Steve

I read an article today about a Wal-Mart worker who was trampled by the crowd trying to get in.
I think the part that struck me the most was this statement:

“When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling, ‘I’ve been on line since Friday morning!'” [Witness Kimberly Cribbs] said. “They kept shopping.”

“They Kept Shopping”. They had just killed a man, but they just kept on shopping. When did we become a nation of barbarians??

A Wal-Mart worker died early Friday after an “out-of-control” mob of frenzied shoppers smashed through the Long Island store’s front doors and trampled him, police said.

The Black Friday stampede plunged the Valley Stream outlet into chaos, knocking several employees to the ground and sending others scurrying atop vending machines to avoid the horde.

When the madness ended, 34-year-old Jdimytai Damour was dead and four shoppers, including a woman eight months pregnant, were injured.

“His body was a stepping bag with so much disregard for human life,” Ernst Damour, 37, said. “There has to be some accountability.”

Roughly 2,000 people gathered outside the Wal-Mart’s doors in the predawn darkness.

Chanting “push the doors in,” the crowd pressed against the glass as the clock ticked down to the 5 a.m. opening.

Sensing catastrophe, nervous employees formed a human chain inside the entrance to slow down the mass of shoppers.

It didn’t work.

The mob barreled in and overwhelmed workers.

“They were jumping over the barricades and breaking down the door,” said Pat Alexander, 53, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn. “Everyone was screaming. You just had to keep walking on your toes to keep from falling over.”

After the throng toppled Damour, his fellow employees had to fight through the crowd to help him, police said.

Witness Kimberly Cribbs said shoppers acted like “savages.”

“When they were saying they had to leave, that an employee got killed, people were yelling, ‘I’ve been on line since Friday morning!'” Cribbs said. “They kept shopping.”

Silence of Homosexuals is Deafening When One of Their Own Murders an Innocent Person

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:59 pm by Steve

A pro-family organization in Pennsylvania is raising questions about the lack of outrage over the murder of a man named Shephard in a dispute involving homosexuality.

No, not Matthew Shepard, whose murder in Wyoming a decade ago has been used by “gay” activists ever since as a reason to demand enhanced “hate” crimes for anyone who perpetrates criminal activity against a homosexual.

This case involves an innocent man who was murdered by a homosexual when the victim resisted his attacker’s sexual advances.

The latest case involves Jason Shephard, 23, who was attacked and killed by Bill Smithson, an openly homosexual man, who slipped the victim the date rape drug GHD and attempted to rape him.

“When the young man resisted his sexual advances, he was strangled,” reported the American Family Association of Pennsylvania.

“The American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), remembers another Shepard who was murdered 10 years ago in the state of Wyoming and homosexual activists used that murder to push for hate crimes laws to include ‘sexual orientation,’ the organization said yesterday, following Smithson’s sentencing to life in prison.

But unlike with Matthew Shepard’s death, there’s been no outcry from the ranks of homosexual activists.

“The silence of homosexuals is deafening when it comes to their own murdering innocent people. The murders of both Matthew Shepard and Jason Shephard were tragic, but one murder is being used by homosexual activists to push their agenda of special rights. No additional laws are needed – murder is murder, but apparently the murder of Matthew Shepard was more important for those pushing an agenda,” said Diane Gramley, president of the AFA of PA.

“The Thanksgiving Day Massacre in Mumbai” by Dr. Phyllis Chesler

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:55 pm by Steve

The Islamic terrorists in Mumbai targeted Westerners and wealthy Indians. They chose huge, 4000 room hotels and other large, highly symbolic targets such as cafes and the old Victoria railway station. But they also carefully chose a very tiny building, Nariman House, also a highly symbolic location. Chabad is a worldwide movement of Hasidic Jews who do not proselytize, who are not violent, who live to help others and who have “shluchim,” or messengers-in-service on every continent.

On late Wednesday afternoon, when I was asked to write about the Mumbai massacre and I learned that Chabad House had been seized–I knew, I knew, that the fate of the Jews in Nariman House had been sealed. Of course, I dared not write this. But really, did anyone doubt for a moment that, in addition to Americans, Europeans, and wealthy Indians (both Hindu and Muslim), that these barbarians would kill all the known and unarmed Jews they could find?

May the families of those who have been murdered in Mumbai be comforted. May Brooklyn-born Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife, Israeli-born Rivka Holtzberg rest in peace. May their families be comforted. May their rescued 2 year-old son, Moishe, bless and elevate them in the Afterlife. May the families of the other dead hostages in Chabad House also be comforted.

Married‚ and the Mob

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:50 pm by Steve

From the agitation and anger of the crowds, the din of the car horns and the shouts of “Civil rights now!” and “Bigots!” one would have been forgiven for thinking that the protesters were denouncing some horrific assault on human freedom.

But no, the demonstrations – and church vandalisms and business boycotts – were in protest of California voters‚ passage of the November ballot measure known as Proposition 8, which amended the state constitution to define marriage as the union of a man and a woman. Any two Californians can, as before, register as “domestic partners” and have the very same rights and responsibilities as married couples under state law. All Proposition 8 sought to do was preserve in law what the word “marriage” has meant for millennia.

Those, though, who were unhappy with the electorate’s decision wasted no time in taking to the streets of dozens of American cities and towns to rail against the audacity – the bigotry, as they proclaimed it – of considering gender germane to marriage.

IN SOME cities, tens of thousands turned out for raucous rallies; in many instances, epithets were hurled at counterdemonstrators and even uninvolved bystanders. Although protesters claimed the mantle of the American civil rights movement, several black observers of the Los Angeles demonstration had what has been called the “N-bomb” dropped on them by infuriated demonstrators – a presumed tribute to the fact that blacks voted 2-1 in favor of the proposition. A San Diego family with a “Yes on 8” sign on their front lawn had their car’s tires slashed. A San Francisco area group launched a campaign to revoke the tax-exempt status of the Mormon Church because of its support of the marriage initiative. Graffiti was spray-painted on a Mormon church near Sacramento. A group of about 30 activists from a group called “Bash Back!” stormed into a Lansing, Michigan church, unfurled a rainbow flag at the pulpit and proceeded to disrupt services by banging on cans and shouting.

Some, even among those who assign meaning to traditional morality, are not greatly bothered by the push to expand the meaning of marriage. They are content to let people call things whatever they want, and regard the societal push to revamp social mores as benign. The vehemence, violence and general obnoxiousness that characterized some of the protests, though, should give them pause.

Muslim Terrorist Attack In India

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:47 pm by Steve

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, I’m running a bit behind on this.
For those who may not know, Muslim terrorist attacked Mumbai, India on Wednesday. They targeted civilians, specifically locations that service Westerners. Aside from the financial businesses they targeted a Jewish center as well.
So Here are some of the headlines out of India over the last several days:

Wave of Terror Attacks Strikes India’s Mumbai, Killing at Least 82.

Several sites in Mumbai, India’s financial capital, were hit Wednesday night by a wave of terror attacks, reportedly aimed at Americans and Britons, that left dozens dead and potentially hundreds injured as Indian forces battled with terrorist gunmen to free hostages from two luxury hotels.

Several staff members were killed at the Taj Mahal hotel, and India’s NDTV reported Thursday morning that gunfire still was erupting as part of an ongoing “desperate hostage situation” there, with three or four terrorists inside. Earlier, some of the hostages were rescued when a fire broke out.

Gunmen reportedly had taken hostages elsewhere in the city, including the Oberoi hotel and a hospital, though the status at those locations wasn’t immediately clear as dawn broke.

Casualty figures varied, with the Associated Press reporting at least 82 dead. Reuters reported 86 people were killed, including 11 police officers, and 250 people were injured. The Associated Press, quoting a senior police official, said the chief of India’s anti-terror squad was one of the dead.

Of the gunmen, at least six were dead and nine had been arrested, according to the Associated Press.

It isn’t clear yet what motivated the attacks, which also targeted a popular tourist attraction and a crowded train station, though eyewitnesses said gunmen were heard shouting questions seeking people with American and British passports.

URGENT: Indian Forces Assault Besieged Jewish Center in Mumbai.

MUMBAI, India — Masked Indian commandos dropped from helicopters Friday onto the roof of a Jewish center in Mumbai where Muslim militants were holed up, possibly with hostages, as sharpshooters kept up a steady stream of fire at the five-story building.

The assault was punctuated by gunshots and explosions from within the building as the forces cleared the building floor-by floor. Elsewhere in the city, commandos scoured two luxury hotels for suspected Muslim attackers still holed up more than a day after a chain of attacks across India’s financial center by the militants left at least 119 people dead.

Hundreds of people had been captive in the two hotels, many locking themselves in their rooms or trying to hide as the gunmen roamed the buildings.

Battle Rages at Taj Hotel; N.Y. Rabbi, Wife Among 6 Hostages Reported Dead Inside Jewish Center; Va. Father, Daughter Killed in Initial Attacks.

MUMBAI, India — Indian forces began launching grenades at the Taj Mahal hotel Friday night, where one or two militants were believed to be holed up in a ballroom, officials said.

More than 15 loud explosions could be heard from inside the hotel. Eyewitnesses say there is continuous gunfire.

The Taj Mahal hotel was wracked by hours of intermittent gunfire and explosions throughout the day, even though authorities said they had cleared it of gunmen the night before.

At the same time, Indian commandos are searching rooms of the hotel looking for victims.

More than 150 people were killed in the violence that began when gunmen attacked 10 sites across India’s financial capital Wednesday night. Fifteen foreigners, including five Americans, were among the dead.

Earlier, commandos who stormed the headquarters of an ultra-orthodox Jewish group found the bodies of six hostages inside, Indian and Israeli rescue officials said.

The discovery of the bodies brought to a tragic end the two-day effort to rescue the Jewish hostages from their Islamic terrorist captors.

The New York-based Chabad-Lubavitch movement confirmed Friday that a New York rabbi and his wife were among the dead.

A spokesman, Rabbi Zalman Schmotkin, said Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and his wife, Rivka, were killed inside the Mumbai center. The couple ran the movement’s local headquarters, which was one of the sites attacked.

The couple’s toddler son, Moshe Holtzberg, was taken out of the center by an employee, and is now with his grandparents.

A delegation from Israel’s ZAKA emergency medical services unit entered the building after the raid and reported through an Indian aide that the hostages and two gunmen were dead, a ZAKA spokesman in Israel said. The spokesman had no information on the hostages’ identities or whether there were wounded inside.

Jewish law requires the burial of a dead person’s entire body, and the mission of the ultra-Orthodox ZAKA volunteers is to rescue the living — and in the case of the dead, carry out the task of gathering up all collectable pieces of flesh and blood.

Two other Americans, Alan Scherr, 58, and daughter Naomi, 13, were in a cafe Wednesday night in Mumbai when they were killed, said Bobbie Garvey, a spokeswoman for the Synchronicity Foundation. The U.S. State Department confirmed their deaths on Friday morning.

The meditation group said in a statement that four other members of the 25-person group — two Americans and two Canadians — who were staying at the Oberoi Hotel were wounded by gunfire, and were believed in stable condition.

The Associated Press learned the name of one victim: Andi Varagona of Nashville, Tenn. She called her mother from a hospital Thursday and said she had been shot in the arm and leg while eating dinner at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower hotel.

She said another Tennessee woman traveling with her was also injured, according to the mother, Celeste Varagona, but the woman’s identity was not immediately available.

Lawyer to Obama: Prove Citizenship or We’ll Sue Everything You Do

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:34 am by Steve

Interesting tactic, but it might be effective if everything else fails.

A lawyer who is playing a key role in a California lawsuit urging officials to prevent the state’s 55 Electoral College votes from being recorded for Barack Obama until questions about his citizenship are resolved says he’s organizing plans to challenge, even after the inauguration, every order, every proposal, every piece of paperwork generated by Obama.

“We will file lawsuits on his actions, every time. As long as we have money , we will keep filing lawsuits until we get a decision as to his citizenship status,” Gary Kreep, chief of the United States Justice Foundation, told WND today.

“We’re already talking to groups who are willing to be plaintiffs,” he said.

As WND reported, Kreep filed the California challenge with presidential candidate Alan Keyes as a plaintiff.

The complaint urges the California secretary of state to refuse to allow the state’s 55 Electoral College votes to be cast until Obama’s citizenship and related eligibility to hold office is resolved.

It is just one of more than a dozen legal challenges brought forward so far over Obama’s citizenship. The cases all cite Obama’s clouded history and the U.S. Constitution’s requirement that a president be a “natural-born” citizen.

There have been allegations he was born in Kenya, not Hawaii as his campaign has reported, that he could be considered a British subject because of his father’s residency in what then was a British protectorate that later became Kenya, and that the “Certificate of Live Birth” posted on his website simply shows his mother registered his birth in Hawaii after he was born but does not document a location.

There also have been questions raised about his travels as a youth, including the years he spent registered as a Muslim in an Indonesian school, and his later travels to Pakistan at a time when U.S. passports weren’t welcome in that nation.

WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama’s birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.

The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn’t ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

Young Evangelist Attacked by Angry Homosexual

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:25 am by Steve

If the roles were reversed, this would be all over the news…

On November 14, Promised Land Fellowship church sent 13 members to the Castro District of San Francisco, a neighborhood known for its large homosexual population. The young people gathered at a street corner, joined hands, and began singing “Amazing Grace.”

During an interview on Fox network’s The O’Reilly Factor, Christine Cloud described the group’s intentions. “We are not trying to convert gay people into straight people, but we are down there telling them about Jesus Christ in hopes that they would have that revelation,” she explains.

Cloud says an angry homosexual grabbed her Bible. She then describes what happened when she asked the man to return it. “And he turned around, and he said no, and he hit me upside the head with the Bible, knocking me to the ground, and began to kick my legs,” she recounts.

The police were nearby, according to Cloud, and they sprang into action. “The police took him into custody, and they came up to me and they asked me if I wanted to press charges against this man, and I said, ‘No, tell him that I forgive him,'” she notes.

“What Time of Year Is It? (Following 4 Years of Media Use of ‘Holidays’ vs. ‘Christmas’ – Part 1)” By Tom Blumer

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:21 am by Steve

As the Christmas shopping season went into full swing in 2005, I sensed that journalists in general have a strong preference for using the term “holiday shopping” instead of “Christmas shopping” when covering business and commerce, but that when it came to people losing their jobs, they preferred to describe layoffs as relating to “Christmas.”

My instincts have been proven correct, as you can see below from the results of three different sets of Google News searches in November and December in each of the last three years (links to last year’s related posts are here, here, and here; 2006’s are here, here, and here; 2005’s are here, here, and here):

“The Palestinian Con: Paying Off the Thugs” by Dr. Phyllis Chesler

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:15 am by Steve

Last night, in response to my article about the Holy Land victory in Dallas, jihadists and propagandized “useful idiots” began flooding my site with semi-illiterate factoids and insults which border on anti-Semitism. Their rage is palpable. They blame all evil and human suffering on the (small case) “zionists.” Defenders have come forth too. Generally, their spelling and sentence structure are a lot better which suggests that indeed, ignorance remains a great enemy.

I have faced such self-righteous rage before, on campuses, at rallies, in meetings. Such people rarely listen to reason or to any other point of view nor are they ever swayed by facts.

But here are some facts anyway.

The Palestinian leaders, (not the people), are heavily funded by the entire world. The leaders siphon off the money for their own bank accounts, villas, and lifestyles while the people continue to suffer. Palestinian “handlers” manipulate the misery of the people and turn sad young men and women from impoverished and often fatherless families into homicide-suicide bombers.

By the way, the apt phrase, “sad young men,” is Dr. Anat Berko’s phrase. We met recently in New York. Dr. Berko is the author of The Path to Paradise. The Inner World of Suicide Bombers and Their Dispatchers. She is a Lt. Colonel in the Israeli Defense Force. However, she showed me photographs of a father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather all wearing full Arab dress. The Iraqi government threw them out “like dogs, like Jews,” and confiscated their considerable properties and businesses. Yes, like so many Palestinian refugees, Dr. Berko’s parents still have keys to their homes and factories in Baghdad–but they have not run an elaborate con game on the entire world, they have not demanded perpetual aid and support, they have not hatched wildly unrealistic plans to return or even for compensation.

Now, if any Palestinian dares challenge Palestinian tyranny, they are killed or forced into exile.

There are literally only a handful of exceptions. Last year, a very genial gentleman, Bassam Eid, came to visit. He is a very brave Palestinian who founded the first organization to monitor Palestinian-on-Palestinian violence, including corruption, intimidation, censorship, lynching, etc. When I asked him about the oft-repeated accusation that Israelis are “humiliating Palestinians at the checkpoints,” he laughed. “Real humiliation, even danger, is what Palestinians face if they visit Cairo or other Arab capitals.” I asked him why he was still alive, was his family a very powerful one? Again, he laughed. That, indeed, was the only reason. Bassam Eid was in New York because Rabbis for Human Rights were honoring him. I wonder how often he’s been honored by Saudi or Iranian mullahs?

Indeed, I wonder how often the Saudi Princes and other Middle Eastern oil barons have funded educational opportunities for non-Muslims and non-Arabs? I ask, because in May, of 2008, the American mathematician, David Mumford, co-winner of the 2008 Wolf Foundation Prize in Mathematics, announced upon receiving the award that he will donate the money to Bir Zeit University, near Ramallah, and to Gisha, an Israeli organization that advocates for Palestinian freedom of movement. Professor Mumford said:

“I decided to donate my share of the ($100,000.00) Wolf Prize to enable the academic community in occupied Palestine to survive and thrive. I am very grateful for the prize, but I believe that Palestinian students should have an opportunity to go elsewhere to acquire an education. Students in the West Bank and Gaza today do not have an opportunity to do that.”

Palestinian terrorists have benefited not only from altruistic westerners. The entire world (The United States, the United Nations, The European Union, The Saudi government, individual humanitarians), have literally poured billions upon billions of dollars into the disputed territories of Gaza and the West Bank. It has all mainly gone to buy weapons and into the pockets of corrupt leaders. Even when this is known, the world does not stop “helping” the Palestinians.

The free world is not un-informed. It has simply chosen to pay the Islamist-terrorist goons off in the hope that they will keep beating up on the Jewish state, (and on each other too), and keep out of London, Madrid, D.C., NYC–whoops! The payoffs didn’t exactly work, a rogue group of Islamists hit these cities anyway.

By now, the world also knows that the troubles, (the pogroms and Intifadas), may start with the Jews but it never, ever ends with us. Thus, the free world is desperately playing for time–while they cast about for a plan. The clock is ticking in terms of Iran’s plan to annihilate Israel with nuclear weaponry–but, people everywhere continue to dance, sit at cafes, lie on beaches, and shop–yes, given the economic meltdown, the sales are incredible.

For those who are open to facts, there are many floating out there in the universe. You can choose among American, European, and Middle Eastern sources. I’ve chosen one article and have summarized it. And yes, it is from a Zionist source which means that it can be trusted. The Israelis neither exaggerate nor lie, they don’t doctor photographs, sacrifice and hide behind children in battle, seek to dominate the entire world—and project their own criminal intentions onto another group.

Islamic terrorists, and those who support them with money, do that.

Legal Experts Puzzled Over California Justice’s Lagging Support of Prop. 8

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:06 am by Steve

Maybe she’s had a change of heart…

Reporting from San Francisco — The California Supreme Court’s order last week to consider legal challenges to Proposition 8 contained one surprising twist — the name of the sole justice who voted against hearing the cases.

Justice Joyce L. Kennard, a staunchly independent if not stubborn jurist, has a lengthy record of protecting gay rights, including the right to marry, and often sides with the underdog in rulings.

In fact, her record is so unwavering that many gay-rights activists and several independent legal scholars surmised that her vote against hearing the legal challenges was procedural — for example, she might have wanted them to be filed in lower courts first — and did not reflect her thinking on the cases.

But a close reading of the court’s one-page order suggests that gay-rights advocates may have lost a usually predictable ally in their effort to overturn Proposition 8.

“It definitely isn’t a good sign,” said UCLA Law Professor Brad Sears, an expert on sexual-orientation law.

After learning of Kennard’s vote, he went back and read her concurring opinion in the court’s historic 4-3 vote on May 15 that permitted gays to marry. It left him even more puzzled.

Whether a state ban on same-sex marriage is constitutional “is not a matter to be decided by the executive or legislative branch, or by popular vote, but is instead an issue of constitutional law for resolution by the judicial branch,” Kennard wrote.

“Everything she writes in her concurrence is substantively what she will have to agree to in order to overturn Proposition 8,” he said.

Although it is impossible to know Kennard’s thinking — justices cannot comment on pending cases — others saw reason to suspect that Kennard may not be buying the argument that Proposition 8 was an improper revision of the state constitution.

The order said Kennard would hear a new case to resolve the validity of the 18,000 same-sex marriages “without prejudice” — a phrase that indicates she was open to arguments on the issue. But she declined to modify her denial of the Proposition 8 challenges with those same words.

“What she seems to be saying is that she doesn’t think it is worth reviewing,” said UC Berkeley Law Professor Jesse H. Choper.

The legal challenges are novel. Many scholars believe the court is more likely to uphold the validity of the marriages that occurred before the election than to overturn Proposition 8. The court will decide both questions in a single ruling next year, probably in the spring or early summer.

“Thanksgiving – A Violation of Church and State?” by Chuck Norris

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:00 am by Steve

Is the government’s observance of Thanksgiving a violation of the separation of church and state?

This past week, a Newsweek/Washington Post editorial labeled presidential Thanksgiving Day proclamations as “cracks in the wall of separation.” The author explained, “The problem with these proclamations, it seems to me, is that they pave the way for public acceptance of gross violations of the constitutional separation of church and state.” What?!

Forget for a moment that nearly every president since George Washington (and the Continental Congress before him) has given Judeo-Christian proclamations for Thanksgiving (except between 1816 and 1861) and also has declared other national days of fasting and prayer. Secularists, such as the author of the editorial, get almost giddy every time they highlight that Thomas Jefferson rejected the notion of proclaiming Thanksgiving spirituals and prayers. But the truth is Jefferson was far from the modern-day secularist they make him out to be.

Sure, Jefferson was adamant (as we all should be) that there should be no federal subscription to any one form of religious sectarianism. That is largely what the First Amendment is all about — establishing the free exercise of religion and restricting sectarian supremacy in government, as well as government intrusion in churches.

But secularists make two grave mistakes when it comes to Jefferson and the First Amendment. First, they misconstrue his understanding of separation. Second, they overlook how Jefferson himself endorsed and intermingled religion and politics, even during his two terms as president. Let me explain, as I believe it is a timely reminder, given that we are experiencing a new round of battles in our Christmas culture war, too.

The phrase “separation of church and state” actually comes from a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote in 1802 to the Danbury Baptists. He told them that no particular Christian denomination was going to have a monopoly in government. His words, “a wall of separation between Church & State,” were not written to remove all religious practice from government or civic settings, but to prohibit the domination and even legislation of religious sectarianism.

Proof that Jefferson was not trying to rid government of religious (specifically Christian) influence comes from the fact that he endorsed the use of government buildings for church meetings and services, signed a treaty with the Kaskaskia Indians that allotted federal money to support the building of a Catholic church and to pay the salaries of the church’s priests, and repeatedly renewed legislation that gave land to the United Brethren to help their missionary activities among the American Indians.

Some might be completely surprised to discover that just two days after Jefferson wrote his famous letter citing the “wall of separation between Church & State,” he attended church in the place where he always had as president: the U.S. Capitol. The very seat of our nation’s government was used for sacred purposes. As the Library of Congress’ Web site notes, “It is no exaggeration to say that on Sundays in Washington during the administrations of Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809) and of James Madison (1809-1817) the state became the church.” Does that sound like someone who was trying to create an impenetrable wall of separation between church and state?

President-Elect Obama, Egomaniac Extraordinaire

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:10 pm by Steve

It’s becoming apparent to me that our next president is most likely just a showman, full of hot air and lacking on any ideas of substance. I make this claim now, so that sometime next year, I’ll be able to do a “I told you so”.
In the meantime, enjoy the show as he add more props to make him look “presidential”.

President-elect Barack Obama is looking very presidential these days. When he makes an announcement, he is ringed by American flags and stands behind a lectern that has a very presidential-looking placard announcing “The Office of the President-Elect.”

But the props are merely that. Under the Constitution, there is no such thing as the Office of the President-elect. Technically, Obama will not even become the president-elect until the Electoral College convenes after the second Wednesday in December and elects him based on the results of the Nov. 4 general election, as stated in the Constitution.

So what is Obama’s executive authority in the weeks leading to Jan. 20?

In the 11 weeks between Election Day and Inauguration Day, the next president must ensure a smooth transition by selecting political appointees to manage key agencies and offices within the Executive Branch, and by creating the policies that will define the new administration — all while respecting the authority held by the current president.

The Presidential Transition Act — created in 1963 and amended in 2000 — establishes formal provisions for the transition period by outlining training and other assistance that the president-elect and his team of advisers can receive as they prepare to assume office.

The amended bill — co-sponsored by lawmakers including former Sen. Fred Thompson, Sen. Joe Lieberman, and Sen. Dick Durbin — calls for the “training and orientation of high-level presidential appointees,” among other things, as well as more efficient background checks to ensure individuals are properly vetted and confirmed for office.

“New administrations face a series of hurdles they must overcome to accomplish this essential task before they can begin to govern,” Lieberman told Congress in 1999 while arguing in favor of the amended legislation.

The original bill also allowed the president-elect and vice president-elect certain “services and facilities,” like suitable office space to conduct transition operations, public funds to pay their staff’s salaries and money to transport workers to and from Washington.

Obama has employed over 500 staffers to assist in his transition operations — working from a nondescript office building in downtown Washington and from locations in his hometown of Chicago.

His transition team has received a budget of $12 million — $5.2 million of which was allocated by Congress, and the rest from private donations of under $5,000.

As president-elect, Obama is also given the same highly classified intelligence briefings that President Bush receives on a daily basis. And Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden get full Secret Service protection, which Obama also received during the Democratic primaries and general election campaign.

But the “Office of the President-Elect,” while critical in building the future government, has no official power — which Obama himself acknowledged during his victory speech in Chicago on Election Night.

“It is an office — it’s just a quasi-government office for planning the takeover of the government,” said Stephen J. Wayne, a professor at Georgetown University’s department of government.

“Standing Against the King” by Ron Graham

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:13 am by Steve

“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell,” Matthew 10:28.

In the book of Daniel we’re told a very interesting story that involved three young Hebrew men who were taken from their families when King Nebuchadnezzar conquered their homeland of Israel. These three devout, godly men stood against their new King and with boldness refused to bow to his false idol. Their names were Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. The chief of the eunuchs of Babylon gave these three young men new names. Hananiah’s name was changed to Shadrach, Mishael to Meshach, and Azariah’s new name was Abednego.

In the beginning of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego’s captivity in Babylon they were made to endure a time of preparation before coming before the king. Finally, when it was time, they were brought to the king and after he had interviewed them, King Nebuchadnezzar was well pleased with them finding the young men to possess ten times the knowledge and wisdom than that of his own magicians and astrologers. God gave them the knowledge and wisdom the king witnessed and after some prompting by Daniel himself the king set them over the affairs of the province.

After a while, King Nebuchadnezzar became so full of himself that he commissioned a golden image to be set up which stood approximately ten stories high. Nebuchadnezzar commanded everyone, “that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.” Daniel 3:5

Now the king received word from certain people of the province that his three favored young Jews, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were being disobedient to his command, refusing to bow down and worship the golden image. So the King sent for the three young men and explained to them that if their disobedience continued they would be thrown into a fiery furnace. In other words the king gave them one last chance to change their minds and bow down to the golden image.

They responded with the following declaration. “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that [is] [the case], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver [us] from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Basically the three young Jews were telling King Nebuchadnezzar in no uncertain words, “Up yours, O King”.

As you can well imagine this infuriated the king all the more and he had the furnace heated seven times hotter than normal. Then he commanded certain mighty men of valor to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and cast them into the fiery furnace. The heat was so intense that the mighty men, by obeying the King’s orders, were each consumed by the fire. Ultimately, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into what was supposed to be their fiery grave.

The Fiery Furnace

Most of us know the outcome of that extremely hot day. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were supernaturally delivered unharmed and unscorched from the flames and intense heat of the furnace. We know that Jesus was right there in the midst of the furnace walking alongside the three young Jews, and keeping them from harm.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego aren’t the only ones who were miraculously assisted through terrible trouble. Daniel also had his time in the depths of peril because he refused to halt his prayer time to God, even for a thirty-day period. Because Daniel remained true to God, he was cast into the lion’s den for a night. The mouths of the lions were supernaturally shut up, and Daniel was saved just like his three young friends. Why? What gave them the ability to withstand evil, to completely with all boldness, and without fear, hold fast to their faith?

Daniel in the Lion's Den

How many times have we read in our Bibles of various individuals being supernaturally escorted through what could have been terrible disasters? Many more than I dare try to fit within this commentary. If I were to place a few more within the lines of this text I’d certainly have to mention all of the patriarchs of the Old Testament. Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, David are all men who were joined by Jesus Himself as they traversed the perilous lives God had set before them.

Consider Noah and his family. Noah was given instructions by God to build an ark, a huge floating zoo, and God told Noah that He would allow man one hundred and twenty more years to repent. While building that ark, Noah and his family remained obedient to God even though they spent days, weeks, months, and even decades surrounded by hordes of satanically evil, corrupted people who undoubtedly persecuted that small godly family over and over again. Imagine, if you will, being one of eight people surrounded by millions of hate filled demonically controlled mongrels. It must have been similar to an older lady I read about recently in Palm Springs, California, who was just carrying her cross one day and found herself in the middle of a horde of crazed homosexuals who smelled blood. She was certainly terrified for a short while. Remember, Noah and his family endured one hundred and twenty years of it.

Noah's Ark

Certainly we too have this supernatural covering as we face adversities in our walk with Jesus. In “Foxe’s Book of Martyrs” we can read of numerous occasions where Christians were being put through the most horrible of deaths, and eye witnesses exclaimed as they watched the faces of those being put to death “Their faces seemed as angels smiling to the end.” How is that possible? Only through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit can we Christians stand in the face of such horrendous tortures and persecutions.

I’m not saying I believe we are going to experience anything like those I’ve mentioned, but I do believe persecution of the Christian Church is coming. It would be quite arrogant of us Christians living here in the U.S. to think we are immune. What kind of persecutions are coming you might ask? Well, certainly, we are already witnessing some of it today. Watch the news and you’ll see the agenda of the homosexuals hard at work persecuting the Church. Laws are being formulated and progressed to systematically eliminate God’s Holy Word from all venues in our public arenas. Never in the history of the English printed Bible has there been such a determination to remove it and deliver it to its final resting place, a heap of burning Bibles.

Around the world today Christians are being persecuted, abused, discriminated against, and martyred for adhering to their faith in Jesus Christ. Freedom of religion is of the past, intolerance toward Christians is the order of the day. Most country’s governments today are involved in silencing the Christian’s voice in one way or another. No, they won’t admit it. Nonetheless, they are hard at it and won’t be satisfied until their satanic mission is complete.

Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and the others mentioned did not bend or bow to evil pressures, or influences. They stood on God’s inerrant word. They were bold in their response to the king. They knew for sure that God would see them through whatever evil obstacle was placed before them. Believers can take heart in knowing that many Christian brothers and sisters have gone through countless trials and hardships, but God, through His Holy Spirit, went with them through their adversity. He will be right beside us as well.

I know you’ve heard it a million times; Jesus said “I will never leave you nor forsake you” Hebrews 13:5. But after reading about the escapades of Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and Daniel, along with all the others, shouldn’t we be even more fully assured that He means what He says? Jesus did not leave them to the evil intent of their captors, and He won’t leave us to the evil intent of a government bent on destroying this nation.

God will not be mocked, and if this new administration coming soon on the scene believes it can run the United States of America without God, they certainly have another thing coming, and I’m being very serious when I say this. God is in control and, with His Church being under such pressure to assimilate into the new culture being promoted, He will take drastic measures to free us from such bondage. Don’t be fooled into believing the lie of our newly-elected president that we need change. When he makes that statement he’s talking about changing our current Christian nation into an atheistic, socialistic, humanistic, Satan-following nation of fools.

Christians, hold on to God’s promises. Be as steadfast as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were in their time and don’t let an evil king sway you in your beliefs. Our only King is King Jesus and we adhere to His word for our lives. Pray for our nation and our newly-elected presidential administration, but don’t be lulled to sleep; stay vigilant in your walk with Christ.

Jesus Christ

How do we believers occupy ‘til He comes? By holding fast to our faith in Christ. Never stop studying God’s word. Just as important, and imperative, is our continued witnessing to the lost. Even though we are growing closer to the Rapture of His Church, we are aware that Jesus is still saving lives and He will continue to, with or without a God-fearing U.S. President.

God bless you all,
Ron Graham

“Why Reporters — and Judges and Professors — Are Biased” by Dennis Prager

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:44 am by Steve

That the news media were biased in the 2008 presidential election is now acknowledged by fair-minded people, left or right

As Time Magazine’s Mark Halperin said this weekend at a Politico/USC Conference on the 2008 election: “It’s the most disgusting failure of people in our business. … It was extreme bias, extreme pro-Obama coverage.”

Given how obvious this bias is, the question is not whether liberals in the media tend to offer biased reporting. The question is why? Why can’t liberal news people report the news without any slant?

The answer is that for people on the left, all — I repeat, (set ital) all (end ital) — professions are a means to an end, not ends in themselves. That end is the social transformation of society, meaning the promoting of “social justice” as the left understands that term.

For most liberal news reporters, therefore, the purpose of news reporting is not to report news as objectively as possible. The purpose of the media in general and of reporting specifically is to promote social justice and the social transformation of society.

For most liberal judges, the primary purpose of being a judge is to promote social justice and transform society. That is why liberal judges are so much more likely to be judicial activists than conservative judges. Most liberal judges do not see their roles as merely adjudicating a dispute according to the law. They see their role primarily as using the law and their power to rule on the law to promote social justice.

For most university professors — and many high school teachers, as well — outside of the natural sciences and math, the same holds true. The task of a teacher is to teach, i.e., to convey the most important information as honestly as possible. But, again, this conflicts with the social justice goal of the left. History teachers who merely teach history are of little use to the left. History — and English and political science, and sociology and other liberal arts — teachers must use their classroom to produce young people who will wish to engage in society-transforming work for social justice.

The Heichal Dovid Hall in Jerusalem was filled to capacity on Monday evening, November 10, as followers of Rabbi Meir Kahane, ZTK”L gathered to pay tribute to his legacy on the occasion of his 18th yahrzeit and to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Jewish Defense League. Gunned down at a midtown Manhattan hotel on November 5, 1990 (18 Cheshvan) by Egyptian born convicted terrorist, El Said Nosair, Rabbi Meir Kahane was remembered as a man “who spoke the truth, despite the often ominous repercussions.” Founder of the Jewish Defense League, the Kach political party in Israel, and The Yeshiva of The Jewish Idea in Jerusalem, Rabbi Kahane was memorialized by those who maintained close personal ties to him and many shared recollections of the man behind the political persona.

The featured speaker of the yahrzeit was Rebbetzin Libby Kahane, his wife of over 34 years who recently authored a meticulously researched biography of his life, replete with numerous personal stories entitled, “Rabbi Meir Kahane: His Life and Thought – Volume One 1932-1975”. Referring to him by his first name, Rebbetzin Kahane said, “Meir had a special gift for relating to people. He inspired many to believe in Hashem and His Torah. Every word Meir said came from his heart and it was clear to everyone that he was completely sincere.” As to the impact that Rabbi Kahane had on an assimilated generation of Jews in the 1960s and 70s, Rebbetzin Kahane recalled, “One man, who joined JDL when he was a teenager, said, “He inspired me and many of my generation to stay Jewish.” When I was interviewing people for my book, the most meaningful praise for Meir were the words: “I am raising my children the way the Reb would have wanted.”

Other speakers at the yahrzeit included former JDL security chief, Garth Kravat who regaled the audience with his personal memories of the early years of the JDL and the various demonstrations and actions that took place in the defense of poor and elderly inner city Jews. Meir Weinstein, current chairman of the JDL in Canada spoke of how Rabbi Kahane taught him, “never to back down” in the face of rabid Jew hatred and detailed of the proliferation of vehement anti-Israel activism on such college campuses as York University in Toronto.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the evening was the presentation of a documentary style film utilizing old black and white footage of a young Rabbi Kahane at age 38 speaking about the ideological origins of the Jewish Defense League and why the formation of this seminal movement was “an idea whose time had come.” Rabbi Kahane’s prescience, wisdom and foresight leaped forth from the screen as he described the objectives of the JDL. “We are not seeking to create a new Jew, but rather to re-create the old Jew, the Jew of the Torah, the Jew who is devoted to G-d, to Torah and mitzvos, but who also rises up to defend himself and his people. We wish to create a generations of Jews who emulate Moshe Rabbeinu, King David and Shimshon HaGibor.”

Other events organized to mark the yahrzeit of Rabbi Kahane included a gala concert organized by Mike Guzofsky at the settlement of Tapuach in the Shomrom, which was home to the late Binyamin Ze’ev Kahane, ZTK”L, son of Rabbi Kahane and his family. The younger Kahane and his wife Talia were also murdered in an Arab terrorist attack in December of 2000. The Kahane Tribute Concert took place on Motzei Shabbos, Parshas Vayera and included such performers as Shlomo Katz, Gavriel Sachs, Ron Weissman, Yerachmiel Ziegler of the Optimystical Band, Ari Ben Yam, Ben Levine and Yosef Hasdiel. The crowd of over 350 people, comprised mostly of young American and Israeli yeshiva students also listened to words of praise for Rabbi Kahane, as several featured speakers took the podium.

Rabbi Baruch Kahane, an erudite Torah scholar and the only surviving son of Rabbi Kahane urged the bochurim to make a Kiddush Hashem and to honor Rabbi Kahane’s memory by consistently being “B’Osek in Torah” (making Torah their daily business) and thereby transforming themselves in to exemplary Torah students and outstanding Jews. “My father was a man of truth, as he knew that the hallmark of Hashem is truth and it is up to us to emulate truth every single moment of our lives, despite the ramifications” said his son.

Other JDL leaders and prominent Jewish activists also weighed in on the significance of Rabbi Kahane’s legacy and the eternal lessons of his message. Shelley Rubin, wife of the late JDL chairman Irv Rubin, of blessed memory, who traveled to Jerusalem to attend these events but did not speak at the yahrzeit dinner said, “Rabbi Kahane and the other early leaders of JDL saw the necessity and viability of an organization that would boldly and unapologetically advocate authentic Torah values, Jewish strength and Jewish pride, and buck the trend of the establishment.” Former Jewish Press columnist and founder of Victims of Arab Terror, Shifra Hoffman said, “In his last speech, Rabbi Kahane advocated an emergency aliyah program for all Jews. The grim realities of the current world economic crisis makes the Rabbi’s message even more crucial for Jewish survival. I implore all Jews to come home to Israel before it is too late.”

“The Case of the Missing Honor Killing” by Dr. Phyllis Chesler

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:26 am by Steve

Psychologically, we tend to believe that what we see with our own eyes, especially if it is “acted out” for us, is the “truth.” Our brains are wired so that visual images assume a permanent reality–even if that reality is a computer-generated or photo-shopped Big Lie. Mohammed al-Dura did not die in his fathers’ arms even though that carefully staged image was seen round the world. Israel did not massacre anyone in Jenin even though that Big Lie has also taken on a life of its own.

I’m glad that America’s Most Wanted chose to dramatize the honor killing of Sarah and Amina Said in Dallas on Jan 1, 2008 by their father Yaser Abdul Said, who has been missing ever since. I hope the program helps aid in his capture. I applaud on-camera narrator John Walsh, who has turned his own grief at the loss of his child into something positive for so many others.

However, the dramatization was oddly, perhaps even purposefully misleading. Key figures were either fatally mischaracterized or were entirely missing in action. Malevolent motives, which had no basis in fact, were attributed to the innocent girls and yet their mother, Patricia, was not presented as the collaborator in their murder which she surely was. Their older brother, Islam, a foul-mouthed man who bullied his mother, harassed and monitored his sisters, and ultimately justified their being honor murdered, was not in the TV picture

Why would America’s Most Wanted do this?

Patricia, the girls’ mother, is and was a white, brownish-blonde, blue-eyed Texas-born Christian woman, a child really, when Yaser first married her. The dramatization chose to portray her as an Arab- or Hispanic-looking woman. Although the program has an on-camera interview with the real Patricia, their choice of an Arab-looking actress to play Patricia accomplishes the following:

Viewers might think that the girls really were rebelling against their culture when, in fact, their mother and her extended family are Christian-Americans whose customs the girls were choosing. Second, by failing to show the real Patricia as she enticed her daughters to come home, promised them that their father only wanted to make up, the program blurs, renders indistinct, the fact that this was a classic honor killing, one which always involves a family collaboration. That is probably why they did not include the girls’ older brother Islam. He would have also visually and verbally confirmed the concept that an honor killing is characterized by family collaboration. Of course, Islam may also have cursed the producers and threatened to kill or sue them if he was included. Nice guy.

In other words folks, the producers did not want to inflame any white “ethnic” or “racist” passion by showing an Arab Muslim male tyrant dominating a white Christian American woman (his wife) and their daughters. The program wanted no part of the long, historical stench which has attended the usually false, but sometimes true allegations about “Indians” or “blacks” raping white women, and the terrible lynchings that have occurred thereafter.

But, even more: The producers did not want to be charged with ‘Islamophobia” by showing what a real, full-blown honor killing looks like. Further, they wanted to appear and present a “balanced” re-creation even if they had to make things up in order to do so. Thus, they showed the two girls as plotting revenge or preemptive self-defense against their father. If only Sarah and Amina had followed through on this imaginary course of action, they might be alive today. But, knowing how American law works, they might also be in jail for life.

While the program tried to pack a lot of information into a limited amount of time, they did not show how brutally and continuously Yaser physically and verbally assaulted his daughters, tapped their phone lines, monitored their computers, watched them and had them watched.

Finally, to be extra careful, the program chose an exceptionally soft-spoken Muslim boy, Zohair Zaid, the girls’ friend, who said some strong, true things but who also presented such a peaceful face of Islam. It does exist and yet–what a perfect foil to Yaser Said’s cold-blooded murderousness. One cancels the other out and we are left with … confusion.

Zohair advised the girls to take their fathers’ threat to kill them seriously and to go to the police. He also told them that “once you run away, you can never come back. He will become totally insane once he’s lost control of you…His honor and dignity (will be) scarred.”

What a shame they did not listen to Zohair but instead listened to their murderous mother. On camera, a subdued, soft-spoken Patricia, actually defends Yaser. She says that when she would punish or ground the girls, that Yaser would try to protect them, go easy on them. When she was asked whether Yaser was upset when he discovered that his daughters were dating Christian boyfriends, Patricia says: “I don’t think so. He always said that we could work (everything) out as a family.”

Either Patricia is dull-witted, exceptionally passive, even mentally retarded; was battered, brainwashed, primed to turn against her own daughters; is one hellava cunning criminal; or, long ago, converted to Yaser’s brand of Arabian-Egyptian Islamism, shares Yaser’s view that disobedient daughters should be punished, even killed. A typical Islamist mother.

I want to know why the police have not arrested her and why America’s Most Wanted has failed to portray her accurately.

I asked Gail Gartrell, the girls’ great-aunt, what she thought of the program. Viewing it made her angry and it broke her heart. Gartrell feels that the program failed to present this double homicide as a full-blown honor killing. She quotes John Walsh who said: “Some people say this was an honor killing. But, there’s no honor in this.”

“How dare he.” Gartrell said. “I have worked hard to educate and get the word out about honor killings and he diminished what honor killings entail. You know, they are usually well planned out in advance and others in the family involve themselves as well. How about this? Yaser shoots the girls, gets out of the cab without a single drop of blood on him, after 11 shots were fired at close range, and simply walks away. Who picked him up? He did not leave there on foot. Someone picked him up and fled with him.”

How about it? Who could have driven Yaser away?

I have to give them credit for one thing. They had the means (Was it money? Or attention?) to get the otherwise reclusive Patricia to talk to them on camera. Check her out for yourselves. As I said she’s soft-spoken, passive, subdued.

But this is also how an honor killer looks.

Perhaps this is also another face of jihad. Think about it. What if an American-despising Yaser was also interested in marrying Patricia in order to get a green card, become a citizen–and biologically produce American citizen jihadists? Might the fifth column we have long feared, come from such a source? Yaser is known to have owned many knives and guns, known to have taken his family to “Jihad military camps.” At least, they are posed wearing keffiyehs and brandishing weapons. Maybe he was only joking. Maybe his annual visit back home to Egypt was only to visit another wife and family. Maybe Yaser is just a petty criminal and woman-hater.

But what if Yaser married as a form of jihad? What if his daughters were in turn expected to marry other Egyptian jihadists who would pay dowries for them?

I hope the FBI is considering all these questions.

California to Investigate Mormon Aid to Gay Marriage Ban; Ignores Hate Crimes Against Churches, Christians

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:15 am by Steve

It’s no secret that I don’t agree with the tenets of the Mormon Church. But I find it odd that the California government is able to move so quickly to investigate the Mormon’s role in helping Proposition 8 pass, yet they haven’t gotten around to charging anyone who has attacked churches and Christians.
Are these not also “hate crimes”?
As a matter of fact, a cross carrying elderly lady was attacked while being interviewed on TV. To my knowledge, no one has yet to charged in that attack, let alone charged with a hate crime. Law enforcement officials have these people on tape attacking this lady and yet they can’t seem to find anyone to charge.

SAN FRANCISCO — California officials will investigate whether the Mormon church accurately described its role in a campaign to ban gay marriage in the state.

The California Fair Political Practices Commission said Monday a complaint by a gay rights group merits further inquiry.

Executive director Roman Porter says the decision does not mean any wrongdoing has been determined.

Fred Karger, founder of Californians Against Hate, accuses the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of failing to report the value of work it did to support Proposition 8, which amended

California’s constitution to define marriage exclusively as a union between a man and woman.

A representative from the Salt Lake City-based church could not be reached for comment.

America’s Most Wanted Airs Said Sisters “Honor Killing”, Caves to Political Correctness

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:16 am by Steve

I was delighted when I found out that America’s Most Wanted was finally going to air a segment concerning the “Honor Killings” of Sarah and Amina Said.  That was until I saw the segment.
We have been publishing comments, for some time now, from Gail Gartrell, the girl’s Great-Aunt. After the show last night, Dr. Phyllis Chesler asked her what she thought about the segment.
With her permission, I am publishing her response to Dr. Chesler here.

  • Phyllis,

I am livid! My heart is broken for poor Amina! They portrayed her as a killer and even used a knife as an assumed weapon of choice. How dare they! Then, to show these girls plotting against a man who they feared more than a rattlesnake! How preposterous! In this airing, the producer and John Walsh made the victims seem deserving of what Yasser did to them. Now, I see them as victims of a show intended to bring justice!

You know, the facts were all wrong. Why? I know that I have spoken to this producer for months now! So has Joyce Boucher as well! Let me do a reality check! Here are the facts they misrepresented: My niece is not Arabic nor, is she Hispanic looking! She is pale skinned and blue eyed! They represented this as an Arabic family with a dictator father and husband. Another fact totally avoided…ISLAM, the brother and son of the parents from hell. The very one who promises to kill me. Where was Yasser’s and Tissy’s beloved son who spied on these girls and bullied his mother? To me, this was an intentional omission! To have added a character as radical as Islam, this might have given [CAIR] (Council on American-Islamic Relations. -ed.), the wrong impression! God forbid! Another, Amina DID NOT come home on her own! No way as she told Connie that she would rather be dead than ever go back home. She meant that too! Amina was [coerced] by my own niece to go back. This, after hours of calling Amina and telling her to come home. Tissy went as far as to put Yasser on the phone but, Amina knew death was awaiting her if she returned. When Amina did return, she and Sarah were taken into Yasser’s cab and she did not go into that kitchen and rummage through the frig. Give me a break! One of the biggest misrepresentation of the facts, Amina was in the front seat and Sarah was in the back seat. Amina, was sitting facing Yasser as a friend saw them and said so. If you simply listen to the 9-1-1 phone call from the cabbie who found them, he says there are two women, one in the front seat and one in the backseat! He describes what he sees in this call as he was asked too. He saw a woman in the front seat, “I have not seen her hand move, there is blood coming from her ear and she is slumped over.” THESE ARE EYEWITNESS FACTS! Yasser, also knew exactly where to park that cab! It could not be seen by the cameras which are on the Omni Mandalay. No mention of this premeditated fact! I could go on and on about how they misrepresented the facts and truth about this tragic HONOR KILLING of my sisters granddaughters.

Where was the part of Sarah’s call where she says, “no, not again, (door opens) I’m dying, my blood baba…no, stop it!” These were Sarah’s own words to her father. She is telling him, LOOK, see my blood! I’m dying, you do not need to do more to me! But, to no avail, he finishes her off as she is on the cell phone with the police who placed her on hold! How dare they! I guess they did not want everyone to hear the officer ask Sarah for the address and to hold on as he called the fire department for paramedics. Oh yeah, let’s not offend the police and certainly not the radical Muslims!! Talk about political correctness…what a joke.

I used to have a lot of respect for John Walsh as I know that man had to walk through hell when his own child was abducted. Now, I resent him saying this case was special to him! Yeah, right John! I saw his true colors tonight and he is definitely in this for the money…oh, of course, “in my opinion!!!!!” He did not even understand the term, honor killing, “Some people say this was an honor killing. But, there’s no honor in this.” Again, how dare he! I have worked my butt off to educate and get the word out about honor killings and he diminished what honor killings entail. You know, like usually, they are well planned out in advance and others in the family often involve themselves as well. How about this one? Yasser shoots the girls, gets out of the cab with not a single drop of blood on him (after 11 shots were fired at close range) and simple walks away. WHO PICKED HIM UP? He did not leave there on foot! Someone picked his sorry butt up and fled with him. FACT!

Never, will I watch this comedy of errors again. If only they researched, then perhaps I would believe this show has some credibility. I suppose no one read the autopsy. Amina had more [rigor mortis] than Sarah. Does this not imply that perhaps, Amina was shot before Sarah? After all, she was sitting in the front, not the back! My niece told me herself that Sarah called not ten to fifteen minutes after Yasser left with these girls and she did not answer the phone. “I don’t know why I did not answer the phone for Sarah.” I think she did and does know why she did not answer that phone to Sarah. Yet, AMW made Tissy look like a beaten down puppy. If that were so, then why did Yasser not kill her for running with his girls? After all, Sarah and Tissy did return before Amina was brought back. Yasser had plenty of time to kill them both but, he waited! He was waiting on Amina and Amina knew it too! My opinion, so did my niece!

By the way, those girls were not shot and left in the parking lot of the Omni Mandalay! I believe Yasser shot them at another location. In fact, there are two shooting ranges just a few blocks from the hotel. Had he shot them there, no one would have been shocked to hear gun shots ring out. The cell tower where Sarah’s call came in…right near the shooting ranges! The cowardly beast shot them and I think he thought they were dead until Sarah made that call. This forced him to drive quickly to the Omni as Sarah gave away the location from using that phone. If it had played out the way they portrayed this, it would have meant that Yasser killed the girls in the daylight, at an exclusive hotel on New Years Day, and no one heard 11 bullets ring out nor, saw anything. You know, like a bloody mess walking down the sidewalk, in daylight?

Phyllis, you and I both know AMW made this Muslim friendly for their viewers. But, we also know that the truth was NOT enacted. Simply, a fact! Someone please [write] to AMW and define honor killings for these pseudo intellectuals! Oh! My opinion, of course! Let’s keep this politically correct! I DETEST THIS TERM! It hides many sins of mankind! Truths, too!
