“Syria Refusing To Cooperate With IAEA” by Michael G. Mickey

Friday, September 17th, 2010

According to an Israel National News report, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is complaining that Syria has refused to allow it access to a site bombed by Israel in September of 2007 for the last two years, prompting IAEA chief Yukiya Amano to write, “With time, some of the necessary information may deteriorate or be lost entirely.” That, it would seem to me, is precisely why Syria hasn’t allowed the IAEA to revisit the site.

In the aftermath of the 2007 bombing, the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) indicated it was a facility partially funded by North Korea which was designed to produce plutonium. In the aftermath of the IAEA’s visit to the site, it reported that “illicit atomic activity had taken place at the site”.

Not only is Syria stonewalling the IAEA on getting another look at the site of the 2007 Israeli bombing, the IAEA is now concerned about “three other Syrian sites under military control whose appearance was altered by landscaping after inspectors requested access to them.”

That Syria is refusing to cooperate with the IAEA should come as no surprise. Much as the Iranians have refused to cooperate with the international community en route to obtaining a nuclear weapon which now seems a foregone conclusion to occur, the Syrians are up to no good as well.

Of interest where the Syrians are concerned, there are a host of reports indicating suspicion that Syria has aided Hezbollah in Lebanon in acquiring weapons of mass destruction in the form of chemical munitions which could be used against Israel in a future conflict, one many suspect could erupt before the end of this calendar year. If those reports prove to be true and Syria is actively seeking to join Iran in possessing nuclear weapons, both Israel and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knows it – and the destruction of Damascus foretold by the prophet Isaiah may be close at hand.

Isaiah 17:1: The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Keep looking up!
