Nation of Islam Leader Farrakhan: Mideast Uprisings Will Come to U.S.

Posted in Uncategorized at 1:48 pm by Steve

Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan predicted on Sunday that America faces imminent uprisings that mirror those in the Middle East.

“What you are looking at in Tunisia, in Egypt … Libya, in Bahrain … what you see happening there … you’d better prepare because it will be coming to your door,” Farrakhan said in a booming voice, thousands of followers cheering in his wake.

Farrakhan also called on President Barack Obama to allow protesters to march, urging the president not to attack innocent people when they do.

The controversial minster spoke to a packed house at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont as part of the 81st annual celebration of Saviours’ Day, which marks the birth of the faith’s founder, W. Fard Muhammad.

The keynote address, titled “God will send saviours,” capped a weekend of workshops focused on health, preparing for natural disasters and unidentified flying objects. The Nation of Islam believes in a UFO called “the wheel” or “the Mother Plane.”

Farrakhan has described a 1985 religious experience in which he ascended into a flying saucer and heard the voice of Elijah Muhammad predicting historical events that came to pass.

For about four hours, Farrakhan spoke and jumped from topic to topic, citing religious texts.
He praised Scientology and its founder L. Ron Hubbard.

Farrakhan extolled the virtues of Scientology and its auditing process, which is considered spiritual counseling by its members.

“L. Ron Hubbard is so exceedingly valuable to every Caucasian person on this earth,” Farrakhan said.

“… L. Ron Hubbard himself was and is trying to civilize white people and make them better human beings and take away from them their reactive minds … Mr. Hubbard recognized that his people have to be civilized,” Farrakhan said to a cheering crowd.

Saudi Student in Texas Charged in Suspected Terrorist Bombing Plot

Posted in Uncategorized at 5:40 am by Steve

Here’s another Muslim trying to kill us. To all outward appearances, he appears to be just another foreign exchange student wanting to get an education.
Remember: a Muslim is a Muslim first and foremost. Everything else is secondary to that. This terrorist wrote: “It is war … until the infidels leave defeated”. Where did he learn this? Did he belong to a mosque run by “radical” Muslims? Did he study under a “radical” leader? How do we protect ourselves against this mentality?

A college student from Saudi Arabia studying chemical engineering in Texas has been arrested by the FBI for allegedly planning a terrorist attack on U.S. targets using explosive chemicals.

Khalid Aldawsari, who is legally in the U.S. on a student visa, allegedly targeted the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush. He was arrested late Tuesday on a federal charge of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

“Yesterday’s arrest demonstrates the need for and the importance of vigilance and the willingness of private individuals and companies to ask questions and contact the authorities when confronted with suspicious activities,” said James T. Jacks, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas.

Aldawsari, 20, entered the U.S. in October 2008 from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to study at Texas Tech University, then transferred earlier this year to nearby South Plains College.

Federal prosecutors say Aldawsari had been researching online how to construct an improvised explosive device using several chemicals as ingredients. Authorities say Aldawsari’s diary indicated the young man had been plotting an attack for years and obtained a scholarship so he could come directly to the United State to carry out jihad.

“It is war … until the infidels leave defeated,” Aldawsari wrote in online postings.

In e-mails Aldawsari apparently sent himself, he listed the names of 12 reservoir dams in Colorado and California. He also wrote an e-mail that mentioned “Tyrant’s House” with the address of President Bush’s home. The FBI’s affidavit said he considered using infant dolls to hide explosives and was possibly targeting a nightclub with a backpack filled with explosives.

The White House said President Barack Obama was notified about the plot prior to Aldawsari’s arrest Wednesday.

“This arrest once again underscores the necessity of remaining vigilant against terrorism here and abroad,” White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said in a statement Thursday.

One of the chemical companies, Carolina Biological Supply of Burlington, N.C., reported suspicious purchases by the student to the FBI on Feb. 1. Within weeks, federal agents had traced his other online purchases, discovered extremist posts he made on the Internet and secretly searched his apartment, computer and e-mail accounts and read his diary, according to court records.

The FBI said the North Carolina company reported the attempts to purchase phenol, a chemical that can be used to make the explosive trinitrophenol, also known as TNP, or picric acid. Aldawsari falsely told the supplier he was associated with a university and wanted the phenol for “off-campus, personal research,” according to court records. But frustrated by questions, Aldawsari canceled his order and later e-mailed himself instructions for producing phenol. Prosecutors said that in December 2010, he successfully purchased concentrated nitric and sulfuric acids that are combined to make TNP.

“As alleged in the complaint, Aldawsari purchased ingredients to construct an explosive device and was actively researching potential targets in the United States. Thanks to the efforts of many agents, analysts and prosecutors, this plot was thwarted before it could advance further,” said Assistant Attorney General Kris. “This case serves as another reminder of the need for continued vigilance both at home and abroad.”

Aldawsari is expected to appear in federal court in Lubbock on Friday morning. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

Second Suspected Syria Nuclear Site Is Found

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:38 am by Steve

A prophecy against Damascus: “See, Damascus will no longer be a city but will become a heap of ruins.”
Isaiah 17:1 (New International Version, ©2010)

WASHINGTON—A second suspected nuclear installation has been identified in Syria, according to commercial satellite photos, providing new evidence that Damascus may have been pursuing atomic weapons before a 2007 Israeli military strike.

The publishing Wednesday of the photos by Washington’s Institute for Science and International Security could increase pressure on the United Nations to demand expansive new inspections of suspect Syrian facilities during a March board meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

IAEA inspectors visited eastern Syria in 2008 and reported that they recovered traces of processed uranium from a site called Dair Alzour, which the Bush administration alleged housed a nearly operational nuclear reactor. Israeli jets destroyed the facility nearly eight months before the IAEA’s visit.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government has rebuffed repeated IAEA requests to conduct additional inspections of the site as well as three other facilities the U.N. agency believes could be related to a covert Syrian nuclear program. Damascus’s rejection of IAEA inspections could result in Syria being declared noncompliant with its U.N. commitments and referred to the Security Council for formal censuring.

Mr. Assad denied in an interview with The Wall Street Journal last month that his government has pursued a nuclear program. He also said he wouldn’t allow the IAEA expansive powers to inspect his country.

The photos published by the ISIS think tank identifies what it says are one of the three additional sites the IAEA believes could be connected to the Dair Alzour facility. In a series of photos, ISIS displays what it alleges were apparent Syrian attempts to disguise the activities of site after the Israeli attack.

“Laying down a new foundation could be an attempt to defeat the environmental sampling the IAEA inspectors would like to carry out to see if uranium was present,” the ISIS report reads.

ISIS says the location and contours of the building suggests it housed uranium-conversion equipment that is used to produce nuclear fuel. The facility, in a town called Marj as Sultan, is on the outskirts of Syria’s capital, Damascus.

Oklahoma Police Captain Faces Disciplinary Action for Refusing to Attend Islamic Event

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:27 am by Steve

Whenever this situations arise, I always wonder how it would be dealt with if the roles were reversed; if a Muslim police office had refused to attend a service at a Christian church or a Jewish synagogue.
We can immediately ignore the typical response from terrorist front group, Council on American-Islamic Relations. As always, they see everything as “Islamophobia”.
Community outreach is very necessary, but believing, as this police captain’s superiors do, that an event hosted by a religious of any type, is somehow secular, is ludicrous. Regretfully, in regards to Islam, is even more ludicrous.
A Muslim is a Muslim first and foremost. Everything else is secondary to that. Until we, in the West, get that idea into our soggy little heads, we are never going to understand the danger Islam poses.
Pray for this police captain. Admire him for putting himself in jeopardy for standing up for his beliefs. Above all, try to realize the double standard that most likely would have been applied if the roles had been reversed.

The Tulsa Police Deptartment is investigating a captain who refused an order to assign officers to attend an upcoming Islamic event because he said it would violate his religious beliefs.

Capt. Paul Fields was reassigned after he refused to order officers under his command to attend the Islamic Center of Tulsa’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a spokesman for the department said.

“It is my opinion and that of my legal counsel that forcing me to enter a Mosque when it is not directly related to a police call for service is a violation of my Civil Rights,” Fields wrote in an internal police department memo obtained by Fox News.

“I have no problem with officers attending on a voluntary basis; however, I take exception to requiring officers to attend this event,” Fields wrote in an e-mail to his superior officer obtained by Fox News. “I believe this directive to be an unlawful order, as it is in direct conflict with my personal religious convictions.”

Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan told FOX23-TV the event was about community relations, not religion.

“This was not religious,” he said. “I would never assign a police officer to participate in religious service,” he told the TV station. “This is about a group who bonded together because of their religion. We are not going there because they are Islamic. We are going there because they are Tulsa citizens.”

However, according to a promotional flyer, the Islamic event included not just food and entertainment, but “presentations” on “beliefs, human rights, and women.” They would also be able to watch a Muslim prayer service and take a tour of the mosque.

“It’s up to you,” the flyer stated.

Ibrahim Hooper, the spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, called the incident an example of “anti-Muslim bigotry.”

“It’s a symptom of the unfortunately rising level of anti-Muslim sentiment we have in our society,” Hooper said. “It sends a message of marginalization that somehow Muslims aren’t part of American society.”

Hooper said he was satisfied with the way the police department handled the matter but said the incident signals a bigger issue.

“When somebody feels empowered to say ‘I’m not going to take part in a community outreach event at a mosque because I basically don’t like Muslims,’ it’s all part of that rise in Islamophobia in our society,” he said.

Gary Allison, a professor at the University of Tulsa College of Law, said the case poses a dilemma.

“It is true that individuals have their own religious beliefs and that they come to their workplace with their own religious beliefs,” Allison said. “The question is, how far can an employer go to require people to go against their religious beliefs for something to do the job that they are supposed to do?”

Israel National News caught up with frequent op-ed contributor, Dr. Phyllis Chesler, as she delivered remarks at a first-of-its-kind conference in Toronto entitled, “When Middle East Politics Invade Campus” on February 16th. No stranger to the lecture circuit or to controversy, Dr. Chesler’s appearance at this seminal intellectual forum served as the epicenter of the conversation on the continued and increasingly hostile demonization of Israel, both on the college campus and in the media.

FS: Today, you addressed the escalating hatred of Israel in the realm of the Western academy. Can you tell us your observations of this phenomenon since your book, “The New Anti-Semitism” came about some years ago?

PC: As I first wrote in 2001-2002, the new anti-Semitisim also consists of a rather frightening, genocidal anti-Zionism. The global demonization of Israel has gathered such speed and force that it could, potentially – it is certainly meant to – delegitimize and destroy the Jewish state. In 2005, Iran’s Ahmadinejad said that Israel must be “wiped off the map.” In 2006, he said that the Middle East would be better off “without the existence of the Zionist regime” and that Israel would “soon be wiped out.”

In 2011, Many signs and placards in Cairo, including the many effigies of Hosni Mubarak, all bore Stars of David; Mubarak was accused of being a Zionist—the worst epithet imaginable. Predictably, on February 11, 2011, the anniversary of the so-called 1979 Iranian revolution, President Ahmadinejad congratulated the triumphant Egyptians. He said: “Despite all the West’s complicated and Satanic designs…a new Middle East is emerging without the Zionist regime and U.S. interference, a place where the arrogant powers will have no place.” Israel is under the most profound, even existential siege.

On February 13, 2011, the Israeli government urged Israelis to return home from the Sinai for fear “that the peninsula will become a launching pad for terror attacks as Egyptian police abandon their posts.” Thus, Israel is now surrounded by Hamas in Gaza, Iran’s Hezbollah in Lebanon, potentially the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, and the various Islamist and jihadist groups on the West Bank. In addition, let’s not forget that in the early years of the Intifada, Israeli civilians were murdered and maimed in huge numbers. Had the equivalent happened in the United States it would have instantly launched World War IV.

FS: Do you think the Egpytian people will eventually embrace a civilian government that is predicated on secular, democratic principles?

PC: Please remember that the women in Tahrir Square were mainly wearing serious hijab and even niqab. They are already pro-Islamist. According to a June 2010 Pew Research opinion survey of Egyptians, it stated that, “Fifty nine percent said they back Islamists. Only 27% said they back modernizers. Half of Egyptians support Hamas. Thirty percent support Hizbullah and 20% support al Qaida. Moreover, 95% of them would welcome Islamic influence over their politics….Eighty two percent of Egyptians support executing adulterers by stoning, 77% support whipping and cutting the hands off thieves. 84% support executing any Muslim who changes his religion.”

What will it mean that such a population can vote? Will the vote be any different than the vote which elected Hamas in Gaza? Without the necessary precursors: the rule of law, a constitutional system of checks and balances, the separation of mosque and state, freedom of religion, a free press, education, women’s rights, human rights, a modern economic base, etc. the vote does not mean that true democracy exists.

FS: Many speakers here today have spoken of the inherent danger of defending Israel against such accusations of the kind of racism that apartheid represents. You have, on many occasions, addressed audiences on various campuses about this very issue. Can you tell us your experience in doing so?

PC: The campuses have become increasingly and aggressively anti-Israel and pro-Islam. Today, anti-Zionism is the new anti-Semitism. “Brownshirt” behavior rules the day. Muslim and ex-Muslim dissidents are met with menace, if they are invited to speak at all and pro-Israel truth tellers are not even invited to speak. Israel is not an apartheid nation. Muslim countries persecute non-Muslim minorities. The Arab Middle East is “judenrein,” Arab Christians are under siege. Say this on most campuses, as I have, and you will be jeered, booed, possibly physically menaced, certain demonized afterwards as a “racist” and “Islamophobe.” You will lose your publishing contacts and your former feminist political world. You will not be invited to speak by Women’s Studies programs. My work on Islamic gender apartheid has been attacked in these quarters.

FS: You mentioned today that your former feminist associates have shunned you for documenting the horrors of Islamic gender apartheid. You also mentioned their reluctance to speak out on this issue. Why do you think that is the case?

PC: Islamic gender apartheid is a human rights violation and cannot be justified in the name of cultural relativism, tolerance, anti-racism, diversity, or political correctness. The battle for women’s rights is central to the battle for Europe and for Western values.

FS: Do you have any statistics on the number of Israelis who have lost their lives due to the forces of radical Islam?

PC: Based on an American population of approximately 310 million, the Israeli civilian death count is the equivalent of 48,700 Americans killed by terrorists on our own soil, in pizza parlors, on buses, at Passover sedorim, in our beds. According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, between 2001 and 2007, 8,342 Israelis were wounded by terrorist attacks, including 5,676 civilians. This is the equivalent of 340,000 wounded Americans.

FS: Do you believe that there are any Muslims who would publicly oppose the forces radical Islam if given the opportunity?

PC: Yes, moderate, radical, and extremely brave anti-Islamist Muslims do exist. They are endangered in their birthplaces and mainly live in exile where Western governments do not call upon them for their views. Governments instead prefer the views of Islamists and terrorists whom they refer to as “moderates.”

FS: In your opinion, who is in the forefront of disseminating the ubiquitous myths about Israel?

PC: The politically correct line is that Israel, tiny Israel, is the “Nazi, Apartheid state.” Only Orwell would understand this misuse of language, this reversal of logic, which is meant to confuse and brainwash people. Such brainwashing has worked. Sixty years of Soviet and Arab League activism and Saudi monies have accomplished the unbelievable. Israel is not only the “bad guy,” it is the “very worst bad guy” in the entire universe.

FS: What is your message for those who are indifferent to the growing scourge of Islamic propaganda and terrorism?

PC: We, the world’s civilians, are now all Israelis. The same world which refused to stop the airplane hijackings and suicide killers which blew up countless Israeli civilians has now inherited this whirlwind. As they say: It may start with the Jews but it never ends there.

Arizona Muslim Man Convicted of ‘Honor Killing’ Daughter, Noor Faleh Almaleki

Noor Faleh Almeleki

Justice has been served in the ‘honor killing’ of a young Iraqi immigrant woman, Noor Faleh Almaleki, who was run down by her father for being “too Western”.

A jury convicted an Iraqi immigrant of second-degree murder Tuesday for running over and killing his daughter in a case prosecutors called an `honor killing.’

Faleh Hassan Almaleki, 50, also was convicted of aggravated assault for injuries suffered by the mother of his daughter’s boyfriend during the October 2009 incident in a suburban Phoenix parking lot.

Prosecutors told jurors during the trial that he mowed down 20-year-old Noor Almaleki with his Jeep Cherokee because she had brought the family dishonor by becoming too Westernized. He wanted Noor Almaleki to act like a traditional Iraq woman, but she refused an arranged marriage, went to college and had a boyfriend.

On Wednesday February 16th, a most unique and historic colloquium was convened in Toronto by the Advocates For Civil Liberties (ACL), a new and dynamic organization of attorneys, professionals and concerned citizens dedicated to spotlighting the egregious manifestations of anti-Israel propaganda on university campuses across North America. The day long symposium that drew over 400 people was entitled, “When Middle East Politics Invade Campus” and was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Toronto. The forum featured a panoply of distinguished speakers including such vibrant and erudite intellectual personalities as Israel National News op-ed contributor, Dr. Phyllis Chesler, emerita professor of psychology and women’s studies at CUNY, journalist, noted lecturer and author of 13 books including, “The New Anti-Semitism” and “The Death of Feminism”.

The other speakers included Dr. Catherine Chatterley, a research fellow at the University of Manitoba and founding director of the Canadian Institute for the Study of Anti-Semitism, Judge Hadassa Ben Ito, an international jurist and past president of the International Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists, Dr. Gil Troy, professor of history at McGill University, renowned author and presidential historian, Elliot Chodoff, a Major in the Israel Defense Forces and a political and military analyst specializing in the Middle East conflict and the global war on terrorism, Dr. Richard Cravatts of Boston University and author of a forthcoming book entitled, “Genocidal Liberalism: The University’s Jihad Against Israel”, Andrew Roberts, founding member of the Friends of Israel Initiative and a noted British historian, author and lecturer, and Salim Mansur, professor of political science at the University of Western Ontario.

Spearheaded and organized by conference coordinator Meryle Kates, the ACL has been established to advocate for civil liberties protection in Canada, particularly in university settings. Their efforts have been devoted to countering unbalanced anti-Israel messages from organizations whose objectives are to promote propaganda against the State of Israel, with the result of inciting anti-Israel sentiment and hostilities. The directors of the ACL include Lorne Saltman, an attorney with the firm Cassels Brock & Blackwell, LLP, Stephen Posen of Minden Gross, LLP, and Robert Grant of FusionPro UK.

According to their mission statement, “the ACL seeks to collaborate with academic officials to devise appropriate, enforceable ground rules for campus political activities. Increasingly, demonstrations such as, but not limited to the upcoming “Israeli Apartheid Week” on campus, create a hostile atmosphere, and one that stifles the genuine exchange of views on sensitive Middle East issues. Groups promoting Israeli Apartheid Week attack the very concept of dialogue and freedom of speech. Rather than engage in civil discourse, these groups become involved in hateful protests to delegitimize Israel’s standing internationally, and create a climate of intimidation for many members of the university community.”

Serving as moderator for the proceedings was Jonathan Kay, a managing editor at Canada’s National Post newspaper and a columnist on the newspaper’s op-ed page. “The only way to disprove a lie is to establish the facts,” declared Judge Hadassa Ben Itto as she delivered the opening remarks of the conference via video feed from Jerusalem. Judge Itto is best known for her scholarly monograph entitled, “The Lie That Wouldn’t Die, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” (2005), a text that has been used for a century to demonize Jews and delegitimize Israel. “In 1964, the Protocols were finally declared ‘the hoax of the century, yet both the Jewish people and Israel are now targets of haters who still insist that there is a Jewish conspiracy to dominate the world”, she ruefully observed.

Referencing the tendentious climate on campuses as it pertains to Israel and the spurious “scholarship” that is being substituted for facts, Judge Itto said, “The organizers of Israeli Apartheid Week prove that they know nothing about Israel. Professors at some universities are guilty of presenting distorted information about Israel along with one-sided bias and slanderous rhetoric. Boycotts of academics and the assault on the free marketplace of ideas are replicas of the public square where public opinion is dictating policy today.” Adding that she personally witnessed “real apartheid” in South Africa years ago, she condemned the concept of an Israeli Apartheid Week as “outrageous” and called for responsible educators to set the record straight.

Students at such respected academic institutions as York University in Toronto are no stranger to the acrimony that is engendered during Israeli Apartheid Week as their campus has previously morphed into a hotbed of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish hatred during past events of this kind. In a very special panel dedicated to the voices of those who have experienced this phenomenon, Mr. Kay introduced five York students who articulated their views and expressed concerns about the future.

Sara Akrami, an Iranian human rights activist and second year political science student at York said, “Clubs are established at York with the sole purpose of creating discord and promoting anti-Israel violence and the administration takes no action against them.” Ms. Akrami noted that the November 2010 appearance of British parliamentarian George Galloway was opposed by a majority of the students at York. Galloway is a highly polemical figure who achieved notoriety as a rabid hater of the Jewish state, asserting that Israel created “conditions in the Arab countries and in some European countries to stampede Jewish people … into the Zionist state.”

She decried the “inhumane and terrorist activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran” and added that those on campus who support the draconian regime of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have “treated her organization with hostility and disrespect”. She angrily admonished Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and called upon him to “stop dealing with the Iranian government.”

Others such as Josee Chiasson, a fourth year student at York completing an honors BA in psychology has undertaken the task of uniting Christian and Jewish leaders on campus and has assumed the role of president of Christians United for Israel (CUFI). “I knew nothing of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during my first year at college. It was only when I visited Israel and witnessed the truth firsthand, did I begin to understand that the insidious rhetoric of the organizers of Israeli Apartheid Week simply did not hold true.”

Declaring that the pernicious canards against Jews extolled by Hitler were tantamount to those spewed forth by George Galloway, Ms. Chiasson said, “Hitler promised world peace if only the Jews were eradicated and so did Galloway. He said that if Israel makes peace with the Palestinians then there would be world peace and we know that that is a complete falsehood.” She exhorted students and faculty alike to, “challenge the radical beliefs that are rampant on our campuses” as she spoke of “students who have been targeted for abuse and threats” by vehemently anti-Israel organizations on campus.

Other students such as Michael Payton, a cognitive science major at York, sociology major Afroza Mohammed and Noah Kochman also addressed the issue of students being subjected to verbal invective and physical assaults by members of the Muslim Student Association and other anti-Israel groups. Mr. Kochman, a member of the Canadian Association of Jewish Students spoke of the violent outbursts of Palestinian student groups that led to the cancellation of an address scheduled to be delivered by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ay Concordia University in Montreal in 2002. “Pro-Israel student demonstrators were trapped in their own space, unable to move, because of the overt aggression of the demonstrators who resorted to violence.”

Subsequent to the student panel forum, Andrew Roberts, noted British author, historian, lecturer and founding member of the Friends of Israel Initiative took center stage and spoke of the aims of the relatively new organization. Established in August of 2010 to concretely challenge the British boycott of Israeli academia, Mr. Roberts said that among the goals of the Friends of Israel Initiative were to, “counter the growing efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel and its right to live in peace within safe and defensible borders. The Initiative arises out of a sense of deep concern about the unprecedented campaign of delegitimization against Israel waged by enemies of the Jewish state, and perversely, supported by numerous international institutions.” Among the founding members of the Friends of Israeli Initiative is John Bolton, former US ambassador to the United Nations.

Professor Richard Cravatts of Boston University and author of a forthcoming book entitled, “Genocidal Liberalism: The University’s Jihad Against Israel”, which documents the extensive web of Islamist influence that pervades the university campus, spoke of “brand hijacking” in terms of Israel’s global image. “Those who would re-write the history of Israel and the narrative of the Palestinians in the Middle East have hijacked Israel’s branding”, he intoned adding that we live in a “world turned upside down in its relationship to the interpretation of the reality in the Middle East.” Dr. Cravatts illustrated his assertions by pointing out the sheer hypocrisy of the worldview shared by the international community as it pertains to standards of equity and justice in Israel. “We ignore the fact that Arabs in the territories would receive the death penalty for selling an apartment to a Jew, but we never raise our voices when Israel is roundly condemned for building 1300 apartments in East Jerusalem; a right that any other nation takes for granted.”

Warning of the existential threat that Israel faces from the burgeoning Muslim Brotherhood, Eliot Chodoff, a political and military analyst and lecturer on the history and challenges of the Middle East said, “There is an all out assault on Israel taking place” and reminded his audience of the parallel between the recent revolution in Egypt and the Iranian revolution that took place in 1979. “It was students, intellectuals and shopkeepers that led the revolution against the Shah of Iran,” he intoned, adding that the teachings of the Muslim Brotherhood were predicated upon a Nazi-like ideology and it is precisely these beliefs that provide their basis for launching a global jihad.

“The campuses have become increasingly and aggressively anti-Israel and pro-Islam”, declared Dr. Phyllis Chesler, prolific author, emerita professor of psychology and women’s studies at CUNY and a foremost expert on gender and religious apartheid in the Muslim world. “Pro-Israel students are verbally humiliated and physically attacked. Professors in Middle East Studies teach students only one point of view — the pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel point of view”, she said, adding that, “this has been the case at York University, Concordia University and the University of California at San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Berkeley and Irvine.”

Speaking at length on the history of the progenitors of genuine apartheid in the Middle East, Dr. Chesler said, “Israel is not an apartheid nation. Islam is the world’s largest practitioner of both religious and gender apartheid. Muslims have persecuted, murdered, and forcibly converted the entire Middle East, India, parts of Africa, Asia and now Europe.”

Dr. Chesler outlined her important work on the phenomenon of “honor killings” of Muslim women throughout the world that was published in 2009 and 2010 in the Middle East Quarterly. “Islamic gender apartheid is a human rights violation and cannot be justified in the name of cultural relativism, tolerance, anti-racism, diversity or political correctness”, she said.

“We are facing two jihads”, said Dr. Gil Troy, professor of history at McGill University in Montreal and author of the book, “Why I am A Zionist.” “As we’ve discussed today, there is the jihad on campus and a jihad in the classroom, in our textbooks and emanating from our professors”, he said. Exhorting students and parents to become more involved in the sphere of academia, Professor Troy said, “we are living in a golden age for Jews on campus, but we must raise the standards of teaching and rescue academia from corrupt academics and fight educational malpractice.”

Attacking the pervasive trend of multiculturalism, Salim Mansur, professor of political science at the University of Western Ontario said, “The right of Israel to remain a safe and secure state must be defended against the ideology of multiculturalists”, adding that “multiculturalism is a big, odious, disgusting lie. China, Japan and the Arab nations are not practicing multiculturalism so why are we?”

Dr. Catherine Chatterley of the Canadian Institute for the Study of Anti-Semitism spoke of the historical basis of Israeli Apartheid Week saying, “The ideology behind Israeli Apartheid Week is not a new one. The former Soviet Union was a leading proponent of this anti-Zionist philosophy. This was the ideology that declared that Zionism is tantamount to imperialism, racism, discrimination and organically linked to the repression of the human being.”

She also addressed the broader global machinations of those orchestrating Israeli Apartheid Week. “The concept of Israeli Apartheid Week is part of a global, political strategy to dismantle the Jewish state. It began as a Canadian invention and now takes place in over 55 cities worldwide.” She added that the organizers of Israeli Apartheid Week are making concerted efforts to build alliances with the disenfranchised in general, thus furthering their anti-Zionist distortions.

“Where’s the Outrage?” by Todd Strandberg

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:33 am by Steve

An old saying goes, “The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.” Judging by the lack of outrage in today’s world, I’m guessing that hell still has plenty of vacancies.

We live in a world that suffers from a chronic shortage of outrage. Things keep getting worse because people are happy to stay in their bubbles of neutrality. As long as problems don’t affect them personally, most folks are satisfied with the status quo.

Washington DC is a mess because our political parties are too willing to compromise on everything. Texas Rep. Ron Paul said at the recent CPAC convention, “We’ve had way too much bipartisanship for about 60 years. It’s the bipartisanship of the welfare system, the warfare system…it all goes through with support from both parties.” What allows for this spirit of bipartisanism is the understanding that voters won’t hold their representatives responsible for their actions.

We’ve just had a group of Republicans get elected on the issues of outrage over runaway federal spending. Now that these people are part of the establishment, their mission has suddenly changed. A number of Tea Party members are now unwilling to kill an unneeded jet engine project because it would mean job losses for their district.

I’m just stunned at the lack of outrage over what is happening in the church today. Several months ago, a story broke about Atlanta Bishop Eddie Long having sexual contact with three young men in his church. Despite strong evidence that Long’s relationships with these boys were at best inappropriate, he still remains the head of a mega church. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, efforts are being made to buy the silence of Long’s accusers.

I can’t recall the last time I read about outrage being generated by popular music. The other day, I happened to run across a story that wondered what the folks at the Grammys were going to do if a certain singer with a profane hit song won an award. It turns out that the song in question contains the F-word. I went to the Billboard Magazine website to look at the weekly charts and was surprised to find another song on the Hot 100 chart that also contained the F-word. Two other curse words were also listed as song titles.

One of the most sickening examples of the lack of outrage came during the Egyptian revolt. While the demonstrations were going on, a mob of thugs raped Lara Logan, a reporter for CBS news. As they assaulted her for 20 to 30 minutes, the crowd screamed, “Jew! Jew! Jew!” CBS was complicit in covering up the rape because it didn’t fit their narrative of the Muslims being reasonable, peaceful people.

The liberal media is highly skilled at ignoring problems with various groups they view as part of their political base. Our southern neighbor, Mexico, is having a historical problem with drug violence. The city of Juarez has the highest recorded murder rate of any city on earth. Drug gangs have killed almost 35,000 people since 2006. Since all the drugs being fought over are headed for America, we share a large chunk of the blame for the violence.

It’s important that every offense against decency be met with outrage. If no action is taken, an opening is left for the devil to come in and do something even more wicked. A few years back, I noticed that the cartoon, “The Family Guy,” has been very active in pushing the boundaries of blasphemy against God. Seth MacFarlane, the atheist creator of the show, conceived this swipe at our Lord and Savior: “As we all know, Christmas is the time that the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living. So we all sing Christmas carols to lull him back to sleep.”

I think the main reason there is a lack of outrage is that people fail to see their culpability for allowing sin to flourish. The day is coming when all of our actions will be judged. If people were made mindful of the “terror of the Lord,” they wouldn’t have trouble expressing their anger.

“Wherefore we labour that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences” (2 Corinthians 5:9-11).

Earthquake in New Zealand Kills at Least 65, Traps More

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:22 am by Steve

Join me in praying for the victims of this terrible disaster.

CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand — A powerful earthquake struck one of New Zealand’s biggest cities Tuesday at the height of a busy workday, toppling tall buildings and churches, crushing buses and killing at least 65 people in one of the country’s worst natural disasters.

It was the second major quake to hit Christchurch, a city of 350,000, in five months, though Tuesday’s 6.3-magnitude temblor caused far more destruction than a stronger September quake that struck before dawn on a weekend. More than 100 people, including as many as a dozen visiting Japanese students, were thought to be trapped in the rubble as darkness — and drizzling rain — fell Tuesday night.

“It is just a scene of utter devastation,” Prime Minister John Key said after rushing to the city within hours of the quake. He said the death toll was 65, and may rise. “We may well be witnessing New Zealand’s darkest day.”

In Sharp Reversal, U.S. Agrees to Rebuke Israel in Security Council

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:11 am by Steve

Obama’s hatred of Israel knows no bounds. In an almost unprecedented move, the U.S. agrees to rebuke Israel in the Security Council.

The U.S. informed Arab governments Tuesday that it will support a U.N. Security Council statement reaffirming that the 15-nation body “does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity,” a move aimed at avoiding the prospect of having to veto a stronger Palestinian resolution calling the settlements illegal.

But the Palestinians rejected the American offer following a meeting late Wednesday of Arab representatives and said it is planning to press for a vote on its resolution on Friday, according to officials familar with the issue. The decision to reject the American offer raised the prospect that the Obama adminstration will cast its first ever veto in the U.N. Security Council.

Still, the U.S. offer signaled a renewed willingness to seek a way out of the current impasse, even if it requires breaking with Israel and joining others in the council in sending a strong message to its key ally to stop its construction of new settlements. U.S. officials were not available for comment, but two Security Council diplomats confirmed the proposal.

The Palestinian delegation, along with Lebanon, the Security Council’s only Arab member state, asked the council’s president late Wednesday to schedule a meeting for Friday. But it remained unclear whether the Palestinian move today to reject the U.S. offer is simply a negotiating tactic aimed at extracting a better deal from Washington.

The U.S. has since backed off this stance and did issue a veto against the proposed rebuke.

School Defines Christians as ‘Oppressors’

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:06 am by Steve

Although we Christians in U.S. don’t have religious oppression and persecution like many Christians overseas do, the amount of religious oppression we are experiencing in this country are reaching record levels for modern times. The Bible tells us this will only increase over time. Pray that we have the strength to endure this and that Jesus does not delay in His return.

Christians at the University of California-Davis (UC Davis) are fighting a discriminatory policy that singles them out as religious oppressors.

The university has issued a policy statement, asking students to adhere to its definition of “community.” David French, senior counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), tells OneNewsNow the Christians on campus have discovered that the school’s policy, which defines “religious/spiritual discrimination” as “the loss of power and privilege to those who do not practice the dominant culture’s religion,” does not protect them from religious discrimination as — in his words — it is “institutionalized oppressions toward those who are not Christian.”

“Religious discrimination can only occur in UC Davis’ mind if it is directed against someone who’s not a Christian,” French summarizes. “If you’re a Christian student [who gets] tossed out of class because your atheist professor doesn’t like you, well, good for him; you’re the oppressor, apparently. Or if a Christian group is denied equal access to campus…that’s not religious discrimination in the university’s eyes.”

‘Multiculturalism’ a Failing Proposition

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:02 am by Steve

I couldn’t agree more.

According to the BBC, David Cameron argued at a recent security conference in Munich that the United Kingdom needs a stronger national identity to prevent people from turning to Islamic extremism. Under the doctrine of state multiculturalism, he believes the U.K. has tolerated behaviors from segregated communities that counter British values.

“When a white person holds objectionable views, racist views for instance, we rightly condemn them,” Cameron pointed out. “But when equally unacceptable views or practices come from someone who isn’t white, we’ve been too cautious, frankly — frankly even fearful to stand up to them.”

The prime minister further noted the process of radicalization in Muslim communities throughout Europe. But French President Nicholas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have both expressed similar concerns about the failure of multiculturalism.

“Temple Mount Tempest Mounts” by Terry James

Posted in Uncategorized at 5:22 am by Steve

It is the most incendiary spot on planet earth–the bull’s eye in the cross hairs of Mideast rage. Focus on this singular point of earthly geography, however, doesn’t come only from Jews, Christians, and Islamists. There is laser-like anger that burns far more intensely than that generated by ancient human involvements and animosities.

The Temple Mount–Mt. Moriah—in Jerusalem continues to draw the attention of seen and unseen, overtly obvious and clandestine, forces to the one place on this fallen sphere God chose as His touchstone for mankind. UFOs were recently reported by a number of sources to be hovering over as well as descending and ascending above the Dome of the Rock. Footage of video taken from various angles was reported to show strange, glowing orbs gyrating just above the Muslim shrine where the religion of Islam claims the prophet Mohammed one night rode on his horse from the now-covered stone into their version of heaven. Things going on around the golden dome and its rock, however, are more often than not at the center of much more down-to-earth controversy.

This excerpt of a news item frames the most recent activity fueling the tempest atop Moriah:

Muslim religious authorities are concluding a clandestine eight-month dig on the Temple Mount that is intended to erase traces of the Jewish Temple’s Altar, Temple activists charge. The digs have been taking place under the Dome of the Chain, believed to have been built over 1300 years ago. For eight months, the dome – which has a diameter of 14 meters – has been surrounded by a metal fence and black cloth, which hide whatever activity has been going on there from outside inspection. The Muslim Waqf religious authority has claimed the activity is simply a refurbishing of the structure, but refuses adamantly to let Jews or tourists near. Jewish activists made various attempts to enter the Dome, but met with no success… Our Temple Mount [a news outlet] notes that according to Jewish tradition, the place where the Dome of the Chain is located is the spot upon which the sacrificial Altar stood in Temple times. Temple activists said that the Muslim digs are intended to erase the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount. (Gil Ronen, “Digging on Temple Mount to Erase Traces of Jewish Altar,” IsraelNationalNews.com, 2/9/11)

The digs are a decades-long part of efforts by the Islamists to remove artifacts that might prove Israel’s link to the Temple Mount. There are worries by some Israeli engineers that so much digging and tunneling has been done beneath some sections of Moriah that part of the mount could collapse. Should that take place, and the Dome of the Rock or other shrines considered sacred by Muslims be damaged, fears are that such an occurrence could provide a reason for blaming the Jews. Thus a rallying point for instigating yet another war by a joint Arab coalition could be established.

Strange circumstances have always surrounded this promontory where the Jewish temples sat housing the Holy of Holies and the Ark of the Covenant. It is the very center–geographically speaking–of God’s salvation process for mankind. The Holy of Holies was the 15-foot cubed room where the heavy veil that separated God’s presence from fallen human beings was ripped from top to bottom by the hand of the Almighty at the moment when Christ cried “It is finished!” and gave up His Spirit to death as the supreme sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. Because of reason behind that renting of the veil, all people now have direct access to God through His Son, Jesus.

The second Temple–known as Herod’s Temple by some, was destroyed in A.D. 70 when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and razed the building to extract every jewel and precious metal they could find from the ruins. The Muslims claimed the Mount centuries later and erected their shrines, claiming it for Allah based upon Mohammed’s supposed adventures–the night flight to heaven from the large, flat stone that the Dome of the Rock now covers.

Israeli General Moshe Dayan, for reasons that are still a mystery, gave Jerusalem’s religious leaders of Islam the right to act as overseers of the Temple Mount, following the Israeli victory over Arab military forces in the 1967 Six-Day War. The tensions over access to the Mount have increased ever since, with the Muslim factions digging–it has been established—to try to remove all evidence that the temples ever stood there.

Behind the building tempest is God’s most vicious enemy. He seethes with contempt for the Creator of all things. He hates everything associated with Jesus Christ, who died just outside the Temple area so that human beings–whom he hates, also–can be redeemed and reconciled to God, the Heavenly Father. Bible prophecy foretells that during the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), Satan will bring his man, Antichrist, to sit in a rebuilt Temple atop the Temple Mount (2 Thessalonians 2:4). That “man of sin” will declare himself to be God and demand worship on penalty of death to those refusing to comply. All will have to obey by accepting the Beast’s (Antichrist’s) number and mark, or be beheaded–or no doubt die in other ways even more horrendous.

The Temple Mount is the one place on earth most coveted by Lucifer the fallen one, known now as the devil. Satan–as he is also known–couldn’t usurp the throne of God in heaven, and is determined to usurp God’s earthly throne, where God has promised that His Son, Jesus Christ, will one day rule and reign over the millennial earth.

The Temple Mount tempest continues to mount. Israel, Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, and the ongoing attempt by the diplomats of earth to try to force a false peace covenant upon God’s chosen people, the Jews, should be at the center of attention of every Bible-believing observer of these troubling although exciting times.

Festering Debt Crisis Pressures Euro Downwards

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:39 am by Steve

The majority of people seem to be very ignorant of just how bad the international financial situation is. The world (the United States included) is standing at the top of very slippery slope. Once something happens to push us over the edge, there will be no stopping the complete collapse of the world monetary system.
The Bible warns us this must happen. It is very scary, but Christians must be aware of this. Time is short, folks.

After a week when it appeared that the euro was entering into calmer waters, the tension and weakness returned.

The yield on Portuguese bonds has risen to 7.6% — an all-time high in the euro era. The Portuguese financial experts have themselves estimated that Portugal will not be able to repay her debt that at this rate and this could necessitate another bailout. Rather than pay the high yields, the Portuguese government decided to perform a reverse bond auction and bought up its own bonds rather than offering them for sale. It is doubtful that this tactic can be employed more than once. The European Central Bank has also intervened and bought up some of Portugal’s debt.

The fear is that if Portugal is seen to be failing, attention will then turn to the much larger economies of Spain and Italy. One can only go so many times to the German financial well for relief. German Chancellor Angela Merkel faces resistance from her Free Democratic partners in the coalition and additionally she must keep a wary eye on state elections that could alter the composition in Germany’s upper house, the Bundesrat, to the detriment of her coalition (Merkel’s Christian Democrats already lost a state election after agreeing to a EU bailout).

Appropriately at a meeting of Finance ministers from the 17 countries in the euro bloc that began today in Brussels and will last through Tuesday, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaueble doubted that there would be progress on a more ambitious debt package..

Another pressure point is that the “done deals” of the Greek and Irish bailouts are threatening to become unglued, either because the Greeks and Irish are negotiating for improved terms over the original agreement, or that differences surfaced over Greek and Irish compliance with the terms.

Egypt: Muslim Brotherhood to Set Up Party Once Restrictions are Lifted

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:34 am by Steve

Next to al-Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood is responsible for funding and assisting terrorist acts the world over. They are a radical terrorist supporting group. There was a reason they were outlawed in Egypt.
Now those restrictions are being lifted.
It will be interesting to see what comes out of the current turmoil in Egypt.

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood will set up a political party once restrictions are lifted that prevented it and other groups from doing so under President Hosni Mubarak.

The Islamist group said in a statement it had declared its desire to a set up a party many years ago but was stopped by the political parties law, one of many curbs on political activity during Mr Mubarak’s rule.

“When the popular demand for the freedom to form parties is realised, the group will found a political party,” said the statement, posted on the group’s website and dated Feb. 14.

The Brotherhood was founded in the 1920s and has deep roots in Egypt’s conservative Muslim society. Although Mr Mubarak maintained a formal ban on the group, his administration tolerated it so long as it did not challenge his power.

The Brotherhood said on Saturday it would not seek the presidency or a parliamentary majority in elections which Egypt’s new military rulers have promised to hold.

The military council, which took over from Mr Mubarak on Friday, has said it plans to transfer power to civilians and establish democratic rule. The council has said it will govern temporarily until elections are held.

San Diego Port Security Says WMD Found on American Soil

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:27 am by Steve

Can you say “cover-up”?

Assistant Director of the Port of San Diego admitted to a KGTV reporter that officials have found, in the past, weapons of “mass effect.” A public affairs official interrupted the officer during the interview saying they would provide more information later. The Department of Homeland Security, responding 23 days later, said the officer was “confused” and “nervous”.

“Liars with Calculators” by Todd Strandberg

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:22 am by Steve

Anyone making the most honest assessment of America’s financial health would have to conclude that we are in deep trouble. Despite the fact that we are on a collision course with national bankruptcy, the general mood of the nation remains rather upbeat.

I’ve been keeping track of a number of financial reports on the economy, and I see a massive pattern of fraud and deception. The people who provide the economic stats to the public are doing everything they can to make the numbers look rosy.

A smoke alarm is designed to let us know if there is a fire in our house. It would be a criminal act for someone to think he or she could prevent the danger by removing the batteries, but this is exactly what some people are doing.

Earlier this month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the jobless reports for January. The unemployment rate fell from 9.4 percent to 9.0 percent. Many people were left to wonder how the rate could decrease by so much when January only saw a reported increase in payroll employment of 36,000. What happened is that the Labor Department reduced the workforce by about half a million people.

The Congressional Budget Office is responsible for issuing projections for America’s national budget. In its latest report, the CBO is projecting a $1.5 trillion deficit this fiscal year, which is $414 billion–or 38 percent–more than the prediction they made only last August. After doing some research, I found out that the CBO is frequently wrong because it relies on projections that are totally divorced from reality. Here are some examples:

* They expect total tax revenues to rise 43 percent in the next two years alone and 129.6 percent over the coming decade. This would be a remarkable change for an economy that is only growing at 3 percent.

* There will be sharp reductions in Medicare’s payment rates for physicians. Most private economists see Medicare deficit spending going from 3.6 percent of GDP to 6 percent.

* Discretionary spending will rise at the rate of inflation (or rather, of price increases, which they project to be low) instead of the MUCH faster rate of increase seen over the last twelve years.

* They’re expecting 2.5 million jobs every year for the next decade. That’s 208,334 new jobs every single month for 120 months!

* Interest rates will remain at historic lows for the foreseeable future. Rates are already rising, and they will only continue to rise as investors realize how risky American debt has become.

Even allowing for the CBO’s high growth assumptions, low inflation, rising taxes, the unemployment rate falling to 5.2 percent by 2021, and higher revenues, the national debt will STILL more than double over the next decade. If you use numbers that are based on reality, the debt will triple, if not quadruple, over this same period.

Social Security and government pension funds are another storehouse of misinformation. Both of these retirement plans are giant Ponzi schemes that have reached the end of their life cycles. We are still being told that Social Security has a trust fund that will last until 2037. The fact is that Social Security is running in the red right now. Within a few short years, it will be adding tens of billions to the annual deficit.

The prize for the biggest liars would have to go to the various debt-rating agencies. They were instrumental in the housing debacle. Firms like Moody’s, Standard & Poor, and Fitch routinely gave AAA rates to bonds that were almost guaranteed to default. The rating agencies have made some changes, but they are still wildly underestimating the risk factors for bank and national debt.

The most outrageous error is the AAA rating placed on Uncle Sam’s debt. China has $3 trillion in foreign reserves, and yet its rating is four points below ours. We have $14 trillion in debt and a trade deficit of $600 billion each year.

The grand summation of this mountain of deception is that we will likely have little warning when the financial meltdown takes place. Everything will be continuing along as normal, then the wheels of our economy will suddenly fly off. My advice is to place your trust in Jesus Christ. He is the One who can deliver us from this doomed world.

Obama’s Comment on Mubarak’s Resignation Omits Peace with Israel

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:13 am by Steve

True to form…

Two Western powers comment on Mubarak’s resignation: Germany’s Merkel calls for continued efforts for peace with Israel, while Obama does not.

Political affairs analyst Dr. Aaron Lerner, head of Independent Media Review and Analysis (IMRA), www.imra.org.il, notes the blatant contrast between Obama’s comments and Angela Merkel of Germany. Calling it a “cause for serious concern,” Lerner writes that German Chancellor Merkel prepared a short, two-paragraph comment on the developments in Egypt, and concluded it with a call for continued Egyptian efforts on behalf of peace with Israel.

“We also expect future Egyptian governments to pursue peace in the Middle East, so that the contracts were signed with Israel are respected and that Israel’s security is guaranteed,” Merkel’s announcement stated.

Yet Obama, in a lengthy, 17-paragraph document addressing the historic changes taking place in Egypt, did not mention Israel or regional peace at all. “This failure to mention peace,” Lerner noted, “was consistent with Mr. Obama’s previous public remarks relating to Egypt prior to [Mubarak’s] resignation.”

Lerner concludes: “The very unfortunate message from Mr. Obama to the Egyptians in particular and the Arab world in general is that as far as he is concerned, Egypt honoring peace with Israel is at best of tertiary importance in his eyes.”

Ethiopian Muslims to Christians: Leave or Die

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:10 am by Steve

Here we have yet another fine example of the tolerant and loving nature of Islam. Ethiopian Muslims have made a demand of Ethiopian Christians; leave of die.

Besheno Muslims, who comprise nearly 94 percent of the population, have made their message known to believers, as they have placed notices on doors and physically attacked several believers in the southern Ethiopian rural city, where there are only about 30 Christians.

Jonathan Racho of International Christian Concern (ICC) explains that Ethiopia is mainly Christian, but some pockets of the country, including Besheno, are dominated by Muslims.

“It’s a paradox for Christians who live in a Christian-majority country and worship underground,” he laments.
