“In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register.

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
Luke 2:1-7 (New International Version)

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”

When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:
” ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.'”

Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”

After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.”
Matthew 2:1-12 (New International Version)

We hope that everyone has a very happy and safe Christmas. With the terrible winter storm hitting our nation, please be extra careful if you need to travel this year.
Merry Christmas and God Bless All of You!!

OMG, you haven’t actually understood the verses you posted, have you? In Luke 2:8, it says there were shepherds living OUT IN THE FIELDS nearby, keeping watch over their FLOCKS at night.

The place where Jesus was in Bethlehem, according to Luke Chapter 2. Bethlehem geographically falls in the northern hemisphere. If you went to Bethlehem every year, the temperature will be 0 degrees or LESS. So it is IRRATIONAL to believe that the shepherds in the night were outside keeping a watch over their flocks in the FREEZING cold temperature, when it could have been snowing back then. In the winter time, you have to have your flocks inside, which is what people back then used to do.

Just before Jesus’ birth, Joseph and Mary had to go to the town of Bethlehem to pay their taxes to the government according to: Luke 2:1-5. The taxes which is what they had to pay was: RIPE FRUIT, and that happens in the warm weather. So, it is irrational to believe that Joseph and Mary paid their taxes in the winter, because paying the taxes of “ripe fruit’ can ONLY happen in the warm weather, which again proves Jesus’ birth could have never occurred in the winter.
Whenever Jesus was born it was NOT December, otherwise the flocks would have been inside, not outside. That is the reason why in early Christianity, people believed Jesus was born during the SPRING and others believe it was the SUMMER, not December. The Greeks who NEVER met Jesus made this the date of Jesus. In 313 A.D. Emperor Constantine declared December 25th to be the birthday of Jesus (December 25th was prescribed earlier as the birthday of Mithra, by emperor Aurelian). Sabbath day, which is literally Saturday (as the Jews still maintain), became Sunday as it was the day of the Sun, another element from the Mithra worship. Jesus used to observe the sabbath day (Satarday) and the pagans used to observe their own day (Sunday) as their holy day. Now, YOU CHRISTIANS have copied the pagans, and have Sunday as your holy day, just like the pagans did.

So, the Greeks plagiarized from Mithra and the date is completely is man made, thus Christmas should not be celebrated, since if you agree the birth of Bible is accepted to be the correct concept, December cannot be the birth of Jesus, which proves this Christmas is a hoax, and man made myth. Also, the pagans used to celebrate the “Sun’s” birthday on 25th Dec, because they had a superstition that during the winter solstice (where day is shortest and night is longest), that the Sun had special powers. Also, during the winter time, the pagans used to find that a certain type of tree outside wouldn’t freeze, so the pagans used this tree indoors, because they thought it had some spiritual protection. Eventually, the Christians copied this idea and also copied the pagans, when they used a star on top of the tree, because the pagans considered the star on top of the tree to symbolize the “Sun God,” and now you find Christians doing the same thing.

All this is against Christianity, which is why the the Bible ITSELF condemns the usage of trees, gold, silver etc:

    Jeremiah 10:3-4:
“For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.”

So, if your a logical and truthful Christian, you have to agree Jesus was NOT born on 25th December, and that Christmas is a man made myth (your Bible NEVER contains the word “Christmas) and that Jesus was not born on 25th Dec.

If you claim he was, you will not be able to produce Biblical or historical proof, and you would contradict the Bible, the historians and history. Thank you.

The Bible doesn’t say when Jesus was born. Most Christians understand that He was not born in December. The day we celebrate His birth is not nearly as important as the Message of Salvation He brought us.
