‘Multiculturalism’ a Failing Proposition

I couldn’t agree more.

According to the BBC, David Cameron argued at a recent security conference in Munich that the United Kingdom needs a stronger national identity to prevent people from turning to Islamic extremism. Under the doctrine of state multiculturalism, he believes the U.K. has tolerated behaviors from segregated communities that counter British values.

“When a white person holds objectionable views, racist views for instance, we rightly condemn them,” Cameron pointed out. “But when equally unacceptable views or practices come from someone who isn’t white, we’ve been too cautious, frankly — frankly even fearful to stand up to them.”

The prime minister further noted the process of radicalization in Muslim communities throughout Europe. But French President Nicholas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have both expressed similar concerns about the failure of multiculturalism.
