Westboro Baptist Church to Protest Funerals of Slain Virgina Tech Students

Michelle Malkin is reporting that the so-called “Christians” of the Westboro “Baptist” Church in Topeka, Kansas, are planning on protesting at the funerals of the slain Virgina Tech students.

Like clockwork, Part II: Reader Sarah writes that those lowlifes of the “Westboro Baptist Church” are planning to show up at the funerals of the murdered VTech kids. (I refuse to link them.)

Time to alert the Patriot Guard Riders…

I pray this is not so. These people are hurting – they dont need a group of nut cases causing them any more pain. The devil has used this ‘church’ (term used loosely) to cause people to hate Christians – no Christian would act the way these people in Kansas have acted.

  2. Steve Says:

Keep praying that God will open these people’s eyes to the sin they are committing as they use His name to do it.

  3. Michael Ejercito Says:

It is easy to hate these indecent, disrespectful people. But we are called not to hate; we are called to do good to those who hate us, to bless those who curse us, to pray for those who persecute us.

  4. Steve Says:

Jesus does teach us to love everyone. We should all continue to pray that they will turn from their sinful ways. Calling them “Christians”, “Baptist” or even a “church” is a stretch.
I agree with Beth…Satan is using them to bring a shadow down on all people who do try to practice what Jesus told us to do.

  5. Beth Says:

    Hey Michael,

Make no mistake, I am praying for these people. I am praying that God will show them how ridiculous they are acting. I pray that God will convict them of doing awful things in His name. Mostly, I pray that they will not cause the families of these victims at VT any more pain than what they have already had to endure. The mindset of these people is something I cannot comprehend and their twisted version of scripture is beyond belief.

    Beth

These are the “God hates fags” people, right?

They’re just a disgrace the human race.

  7. Steve Says:

Yes, they are the supposed “Christians” who use that slogan and web address. They are truly skewed in their way of thinking. Pray that God will open their eyes to how to represent God in the loving way He represented us through Jesus’ forgiveness.
They certainly do a lot of harm not only to Christian’s opposition to the sin of homosexuality, but also to the Christian message as a whole.

  8. Leia Peison Says:

we as bible believing christians need to pray for them. we are to love our enemies. the church in america needs to witness to these people not fuel hatred.

  9. Michael Says:

I too believe that the devil is using this church to eventually prohibit christians who as myself, to tell the gay community that they must repent.
We all must repent of our sin and accept the gift of salvation.
I can see in the future because of the WBC that preaching a message of repentance and of judgement will be a hate crime.
Look aound you now, did not our Lord say that this world would be like Sodom when He returns?
We have to with compassion and love warn the homosexual of the Lord’s coming and His Vengance on the wicked.
I do not agree with WBC twisted methods of reaching the gay community.
Does God love everyone? No!! He hates iniquity in all its forms.
For so long all we have heard is: Because of God’s grace, I guess that gives us a license to sin.
Our life style will reflect that we as christians know Him.
If our life is not a sermon, if we say anything to this hell bound world then what we say is nothing because we are not living it.

    Thanks,

    Michael
