Mars Melt Hints That Humans Not To Blame For Warming

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

Apparently the earth isn’t the only planet that’s heating up right now. Mars is also experiencing warm weather, so it seems that Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth” may actually be a “Convenient Money-Making Lie”.

Simultaneous warming on Earth and Mars suggests that our planet’s recent climate changes have a natural—and not a human- induced—cause, according to one scientist’s controversial theory.

Earth is currently experiencing rapid warming, which the vast majority of climate scientists says is due to humans pumping huge amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. (Get an overview: “Global Warming Fast Facts”.)

Mars, too, appears to be enjoying more mild and balmy temperatures.

In 2005 data from NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor and Odyssey missions revealed that the carbon dioxide “ice caps” near Mars’s south pole had been diminishing for three summers in a row.

Habibullo Abdussamatov, head of the St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in Russia, says the Mars data is evidence that the current global warming on Earth is being caused by changes in the sun.

“The long-term increase in solar irradiance is heating both Earth and Mars,” he said.

Six Million Christian Children to Pray for Israel on Purim

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

Please join me in continuing to pray for Israel. Support them and hold them up to God.
(Thanks to Fern Sidman for forwarding this to me.)

Inspired by a kabbalist rabbi, an Evangelical leader from Ft. Worth, Texas, plans to enlist the “pure hearted prayers” of six million Christian children worldwide to protect the Jewish people from the Iranian nuclear threat.

The prayer rally will take place before Purim, a holiday that commemorates the redemption through divine intervention of the Jewish people from an evil Persian ruler about 2,500 years ago. Purim starts on Saturday evening.

Michael D. Evans, best-selling author of The American Prophecies: Ancient Scriptures Reveal Our Nation’s Future, said on Monday evening that the inspiration for his idea from a report in The Jerusalem Post.

“After reading about Rabbi [David Batzri’s] campaign to enlist 10,000 children to pray that God annul [Iranian President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad’s plans for the destruction of the Jewish people, I said to myself, ‘Why stop at 10,000?'” Evans said in a telephone interview from his Jerusalem hotel room.

“The number six million is a reminder to Christians that never again must we allow a Holocaust,” he said. “And since the young suffer most in times of catastrophe, it is fitting that children should be the ones praying.”

Evans, who heads the Jerusalem Prayer Team, an Internet-based initiative to encourage Christian prayer for the State of Israel, said that Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell would undoubtedly join forces to muster the 6 million young prayers. Evans said that there were approximately 1 billion evangelical Christians worldwide.

Rabbi Yitzhak Batzri, son of David, welcomed the initiative.

“Hopefully, it will awaken the entire world to the Iranian threat,” said Batzri. “If the goyim have come to the realization that we are in danger, maybe the Jews in the Diaspora will finally wake up.”

Sanhedrin:Renew Animal Sacrifice and Rebuild the Temple

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

For those of us who are interested in Bible prophecy, this is huge! Daniel 9:27 says, “He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. ”
There is so much prophecy contained in this story (and in this Bible verse) that it would take a very long time to cover it all. Let me just say this: The Bible tells us that in the end times, the Jewish people will return to Israel, sacrifices will be being offered like in ancient times, the temple will be re-established, and the antichrist will rule from the temple. Rabbis are planning animal sacrifices to take place this year at passover.
The Bible, which was written ages ago, told that these things would come to pass. They are happening before our very eyes. Christians, look up for your redemption draweth nigh!! If you do not know Jesus as your Savior, please turn to Him now, because it will VERY SOON be too late!

If you are not a Christian, see (

Animal sacrifices should be renewed on the Temple Mount, a member of the radical Sanhedrin organization told Ynetnews.

In ancient Israel and Judea, the Sanhedrin served as the highest court in the land, and was made up of 71 top judges. Now, a group of
fringe rabbis say they have reformed the group, although the organization has received no recognition from Israel’s official religious authorities.

“In the Torah there are around 200 commandments dealing with animal sacrifices,” said Rabbi Dov Stein, of the Sanhedrin organization. “The Torah of Israel demands animal sacrifices. When the people of Israel were in the Diaspora, it couldn’t be done. But now, there is the supreme institution, the Sanhedrin, made up of experts, and it can be done. The new Sanhedrin, like the old, will educate the people of Israel on how to keep and safeguard the Torah.”

‘Democracy was not invented today’

Stein vowed that “we will try to carry out animal sacrifices on the Temple Mount this Passover, as commanded by the Torah.”

Asked if his organization sought to rebuild the third Temple, Stein’s answer was unequivocal. “We want to establish the Temple again. Unfortunately, standing in our way is a hostile regime, the Israeli government, and rabbis who for political interest don’t want this to happen.”

Stein even suggested that Muslims would agree to the project, saying: “The Omar Mosque (the Dome of the Rock), built by Khalif Omar, was actually intended to safeguard the site for the Jews. Islam hasn’t always been so hostile. Despite its hatred and massacres against us, Islam sees in Judaism a source and a guide. I think the moment will come that Muslims understand the need to build the Temple and go along with us.”

Stein outlined his plan for Israel, calling for a king to be appointed democratically. “Democracy was not invented today, the king is elected from a list of candidates. A senior judge, as was done during the days of the judges, can also be appointed,” he added.

However, such practices ended 2000 years ago, Rabbi Doniel Hartman was quoted by the Associated Press as saying.

“Around that time, animal sacrifice, as a mode of religious worship, stopped for Jews, Christians and Muslims,” said the rabbi from the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem, according to AP. “Moving back in that direction is not progress,” he added.

According to mainstream Jewish thought, animal sacrifices must not be carried out outside of Temple, which itself cannot be rebuilt by human endeavor, but will be rebuilt upon the arrival of the messiah.

Feds Have Dropped Ball on Illegal Immigration, Say Local Governments

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

No Kidding!!

( – After the small town of Hazleton, Pa., experienced a stabbing, a drug bust and a few absentee landlords with as many as nine residents living in a single unit, Mayor Louis Barletta said he lay awake one night and thought, “I’ve lost my city.”

The common thread running through each of the problems facing the once-sleepy town of about 23,000 residents is the offenses involved illegal immigrants.

Before 2000, Barletta recalled, the town averaged one murder every seven years. After an influx of illegal immigrants, there have been three murders in the last 18 months.

The problems prompted the mayor to enact new policies, including an ordinance to punish businesses hiring illegal workers, punish landlords who rent to illegal immigrants, and declare English the town’s official language.

Hazleton’s policies inspired Starletta Hairston, a former council member in Beaufort County, S.C., who saw similar problems in her community. She pushed for the enactment of county policies in 2005 to deny licenses to businesses that employ illegal aliens and to deny business licenses to illegal immigrants.

“When the federal government drops the ball on enforcing immigration laws, it’s up to the local governments to protect the taxpayers,” Hairston said.

Barletta and Hairston were joined Wednesday by Virginia State Del. Jackson H. Miller at a forum sponsored by the government watchdog group, Judicial Watch, which is examining what local governments can do about illegal immigration.

In 2000, Beaufort County had 8,000 illegal immigrants, four times as many as it had in 1990. By 2005, the number grew to 12,000, Hairston said. The local hospital spent $12 million in 2005 taking care of illegal immigrants in the county, while it costs $60 per day to incarcerate those who commit crimes.

“The costs just increase and increase and increase,” she said, adding that the matter is not about race but about the process and respect for the law.

“The current immigration process is a flagrant disregard of the naturalization process,” she said.

The American Civil Liberties Union and pro-immigrant groups have opposed the actions taken by local governments.

In Hazleton, the ACLU and Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund sued the city on behalf of the illegal immigrants, alleging the laws are unconstitutional. The suit is pending.

“These laws, grounded in racial animus, are barbaric,” Foster Maer, an attorney with the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, said in a written statement in December. “Their intention is to force immigrants into homelessness and destitution.”

Enforcing the law at the local level can be difficult, said Miller, who as a former Manassas city council member helped push through an ordinance to prevent multiple people from cramming into a home, only to see the law rescinded when the U.S. Department of Justice and Housing and Urban Development challenged it.

“Because we’re a small city, Manassas can’t afford to defend a multi-million lawsuit,” Miller said. “The federal government is not enforcing its own laws and works against us when we try to do something about it.”

Miller said he is very disappointed with proposals coming out of Washington, such as a path to citizenship and a guest worker program, which he called “a farce.”

He said that politicians and citizens are afraid to get involved and stand up for enforcing immigration laws.

“I’ve read editorials that say I don’t like people with brown skin. I didn’t like it, but I suck it up and move forward because it’s the right thing to do for the community,” Miller said.
