“The Children Schooled by Arafat” by Hal Lindsey

Friday, April 11th, 2008

President Bush made the first trip of his presidency to the Holy Land this week to, as he put it, push for a peace treaty and an independent Palestinian state by the end of his term in office. That leaves just over a year to solve one of the most complex problems in modern history.

In order to accomplish this goal, the president said, ”Israeli and Palestinian negotiation teams will begin discussing ‘core issues’ such as Jerusalem, the Palestinian demand for a ‘right of return’ for alleged Palestinian ‘refugees’ from the 1948 War of Independence, and firm borders for an eventual Palestinian state.”

In 1993, the Palestinian Authority took control of its own educational system as part of the terms of the Oslo Accords. Since that time, Palestinian schoolchildren have been systematically brainwashed into believing that the only possible solution to the ”Jewish Question” in what they believe is their land is the same conclusion reached by the Nazis at the Wannsee Conference. (This was a conference where the so called ”Final Solution to the Jewish Problem” was produced – the annihilation of the Jewish race.)

Arafat had a Pavlovian-type curriculum created that would out-do the Nazis. He educated a self-perpetuating generation of Palestinian children that see the only solution to regaining ‘their land’ is to destroy the State of Israel and annihilate the Jews.

Part of this plan was to set up summer camps run by the PA that teach children (some as young as six) how to use lethal weapons against the Jews.

Only a month ago, Palestinian TV rebroadcast a video made during the 1990’s (while the PA was ostensibly still in good-faith negotiations with Israel.) It is a children’s play that begins when Israeli soldiers shoot a Palestinian woman in the back.

She then ascends into Islamic paradise where she becomes one of the 72 virgins awaiting the next Palestinian martyr to die in the cause of Allah. The scene cuts to a young Palestinian who is murdered by the Israelis and arrives in Paradise to claim his reward.

Palestinian textbooks deny both the historic and present existence of an Israeli state. Maps of Palestine include all of Israel. Teachers who encourage students to follow in their footsteps continually glorify suicide bombers.

Virtually all PA schools educate their students to believe there is no higher calling in life than to give it up willingly, taking as many Jews with them as possible in the process. And they do this while signing countless documents promising to ‘end incitement’ against Israel in the Palestinian school system.

In the Bible, Proverbs 22:6 says, ”train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This works for evil as well as for good.

Each of us can attest to the truth of that passage from our own lives. What we learned as children stays with us for life. The fact that racial prejudice still exists in some places in America, even after decades of anti-racial deprogramming, is a testament to that truth.

Now imagine that you had been educated your entire life by Ku Klux Klansmen. All you ever knew were Klansmen, and all you were ever taught through your entire educational experience was KKK ideology.

Then one day, somebody tells you to ignore (not forget) everything you ever learned about racism and embrace the goals of the NAACP.

I chose that example because it is approximately the education experience of a typical white Southerner of late 19th and early 20th century America. Decades of affirmative action and racial deprogramming have revealed racism for what it is, yet it still remains firmly entrenched within the mindset of some Americans to this day.

One of the most commonly offered observations about Barak Obama is that his viability as a black presidential candidate means ”racism is dead in America.” (If that were true, why would we feel the need to point it out?)

Decades after Martin Luther King, decades after school integration, decades after school systems were sanitized of racial references, racism – while nothing like it was in the fifties – still remains alive and well in America.

It is also important to point out that the kind of prejudice Muslim’s have against the Jews far exceeds anything we understand in America. Their Holiest book, the Koran, backs their prejudice against Jews, and their mentors promise lavish rewards from Allah for killing them.

Palestinian children who have been continually shown false images in ”training films” of Israeli soldiers shooting Palestinian women and children in the back will never forget them, nor overcome the hatred it inculcated in them.

A Palestinian child who started in a PA school in 1993 is now in his twenties. Based on the American experience with prejudice, if the PA stopped anti-Israeli incitement today, it would take at least until about 2050 for the Palestinians, as a people, to achieve a minimum level of racial tolerance. And as I said, their kind of prejudice exceeds anything we understand. Yet President Bush is demanding that this happen by the end of this year.

No matter whether his time table is being pushed by a lust for a legacy, Saudi backroom threats of OPEC restricting U.S. oil allotments, or both – It ain’t gonna happen!

Site Found Where Iran Building 6,000km Ballistic Missile

Friday, April 11th, 2008

A weapon like this in the hands of a nut like Ahmadinejad is beyond scary. This is exactly why Iran poses such a threat to the United States and our allies in Israel.

New satellite imagery exposed a site where Iran was developing long-range ballistic missiles, the London-based Times reported Friday.

On February 4, Iran launched a “research rocket” as part of its space program, the Islamic Republic announced. Experts have estimated since then, however, that the rocket launch was in fact a field test of Shihab-type ballistic missile.

But four days after the launch another intriguing feature of the test became apparent: analysis of photographs taken by the Digital Globe QuickBird satellite indicated that the launch site of Kavoshgar 1, as the Shihab missile was dubbed by the Iranians, is also the site where Iran is busy developing ballistic missiles with a range of about 6,000 km.

The site, about 230 km southeast of Teheran, was previously unknown and its link with the Iranian weapons program was revealed by Jane’s Intelligence Review after the images were studied by a former Iraq weapons inspector.

Using a space program as a façade for a weapons program was the path chosen by Korea until it declared it had passed the nuclear weapon threshold.

Geoffrey Forden, a research associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said that there was a recently constructed building on the site, about 40 metres in length, which was similar in form and size to the Taepodong long-range missile assembly facility in North Korea.

Jane’s Proliferation editor Avital Johanan said analysis of the Iranian site indicated that Teheran may be about five years away from developing a 6,000 km ballistic missile. This would tie in with American intelligence estimates and underlines why President Bush wants the Polish and Czech components of the US missile defence system to be up and running by 2013.

Does the Bible Contain Errors?

Friday, April 11th, 2008

A commentator gave me a set of statements, from a website called Biblical Errancy, by Dennis McKinsey, that “proved” the Bible has errors and contradictions.
Here are the statements and my responses.

“Isn’t Jesus a false prophet since he wrongly predicted in Matt. 12:40 that he would be buried three days and three nights as Jonah was in the whale three days and three nights? Friday afternoon to early Sunday morning is only one and a half days.”

The confusion with the number of days in the grave stems from confusion about the day the weekly Sabbath started (always Friday at sunset) versus a high holiday (such as passover) which is also referred to as a “sabbath”, but occurs on different days of week in different years. If this Sabbath fell on Thursday, Jesus would have been in the tomb for three days and three nights. Remember that Jewish days were always counted from sunset and not the midnight we use now. Let’s go over the time line:
He was buried near sundown on Wednesday, which began Thursday in the Jewish calendar. Using a Jewish calendar, you have Thursday night (night one), Thursday day (day one), Friday night (night two), Friday day (day two), Saturday night (night three), Saturday day (day three). We don’t know exactly when He rose, but we do know that it was before sunrise on Sunday.
According to the Bible, Jesus was in Jerusalem to celebrate Passover. Passover is always celebrated on the same calendar date, unlike the weekly Sabbath.
No conflict with the Biblical account here. Let’s move on.

“Jesus said, “whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire” (Matt. 5:22). Yet, he himself did so repeatedly, as Matt. 23:17, 19 and Luke 11:40 and 12:20 show. Shouldn’t he be in danger of hell too?”

Not at all. The word “fool” used in these verses are normal accusations common to the Jewish people. It was acceptable to use them in that time period. Imposing modern values on this rhetoric does not change the meaning they had at that time. This is also known as a polemic, which is defined as “an aggressive attack on or refutation of the opinions or principles of another”.

“How can Num. 23:19, which says God doesn’t repent, be reconciled with Ex. 32:14, which clearly says he does?”

Numbers 23:19 is saying that God does not have the faults present in people. It says:
God [is] not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do [it]? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
People lie. People have to repent. God is not man; He does not have our faults.
Now take Exodus 32:14:
“And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.”
God was getting ready to punish the Jews, but was convinced not to do so because He loves them so much.
The Hebrew word used in both cases is “nacham” which can mean “to be sorry, be moved to pity, have compassion” depending on context. Hebrew is a contextual language and cannot be understood correctly if taken out of context.

“How can Ex. 33:20, which says no man can see God’s face and live, be squared with Gen. 32:30, which says a man saw God’s face and his life was preserved?”

In Exodus 33, Moses asked God to show himself in His true form, completely glorified. God tells Moses that anyone who saw His face, when He was in this form, would die. As God moved past Moses, He obstructed Moses’ eyes, so that he couldn’t see God’s face, thus fulfilling Moses’ request and protecting his life at the same time.
In Genesis 32, specifically verse 24, the Bible states that Jacob wrestled with a man who later revealed that He was God. The Hebrew word, used in verse 24, is “iysh” (pronounced “ēsh”) which means “man, male (in contrast to woman, female), human being, person (in contrast to God). When Jacob said “I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved,” it is clear that he is referring to seeing God in a man’s form as opposed to seeing Him in His state of Glorified Holiness.

“In Psalm 139:7-11 we are told God is everywhere. If so, why would God need to come down to earth to see a city (Gen. 11:5) when he is already here? And how could Satan leave the presence of the Lord (Job 1: 12, 2:7)?”

Even though God is omnipresent (everywhere), He is also transcendant (a condition or state of being that surpasses physical existence) to us, but also immanent in relating to us. That’s the fancy explanation. Let me put in another way:
God and Angels operate on my different plains of existence. In some forms, they are able to interface with humans. In other forms they are only apparent to each other, but not to us.
Angels were created by God. They are admitted into His Glorified and Holy presence (something that people cannot do when alive, as pointed out above).
Satan is also an angel. He and a “host” of angels rebelled against God and were thrown out of Heaven, never to be allowed into the presence of God again.
God knows the location and activities of all of the fallen angels, all humans, all animals, even all matter, (by being Omnipresent), but in the case of these “fallen angels”, they will never get to experience God’s Glory ever again (being sent out of His Glory). They were “sent away” from God’s presence.

“How could Jesus, whom the New Testament repeatedly refers to as the son of man, be our savior when this is clearly forestalled by Psalm 146:3 (”Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man in whom there is no help”) and Job 25:6 (”How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm”)?” explains this really well. Since I agree with them completely on this, let me just post their answer here:
“Jesus is referred to as the “Son of Man” 88 times in the New Testament. What does this mean? Does not the Bible say Jesus was the Son of God? How then could Jesus also be the Son of Man? A first meaning of the phrase “Son of Man” is as a reference to the prophecy of Daniel 7:13-14, “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him. And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” The description “Son of Man” was a Messianic title. Jesus is the one who was given dominion and glory and a kingdom. When Jesus used this phrase related to Himself, He was assigning the “Son of Man” prophecy to Himself. The Jews of that era would have been intimately familiar with the phrase and to whom it referred. He was proclaiming Himself as the Messiah.

A second meaning of the phrase “Son of Man” is that Jesus was truly a human being. God called the prophet Ezekiel “son of man” 93 times. God was simply calling Ezekiel a human being. A son of a man is a man. Jesus was fully God (John 1:1), but He was also a human being (John 1:14). 1 John 4:2 tells us, “This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.” Yes, Jesus was the Son of God – He was in His essence God. Yes, Jesus was also the Son of Man – He was in His essence a human being. In summary, the phrase “Son of Man” indicates that Jesus is the Messiah and that He is truly a human being.”

“Even many of the staunchest defenders of Jesus admit that his comment in Matt. 10:34 (”I came not to send peace but a sword”) contradicts verses such as Matt. 26:52 (”Put up again thy sword into his place: for all that take the sword shall perish with the sword”).”

It does? In what way?
In Matthew 10:34, Jesus is using the word “sword” to demonstrate that belief in Him will cause division in families, between friends and could result in hardship or even death for those of us who believe in Him. He was not saying that He would draw a sword and go around killing people with it.

As for Matthew 26:52, one of His disciples drew his sword and was waving it around to deter the crowd who had come to arrest Jesus. This disciple hurt one of the servants of the hight priest. Basically, Jesus told his disciple to stop this silly sword waving and put it up before someone else got hurt. He knew He had to die on the cross in order to bring Salvation to man. Nothing could prevent that now.
Again, this is just more of taking things out of context.

“The Messiah must be a physical descendant of David (Rom. 1:3, Acts 2:30). Yet, how could Jesus meet this requirement since his genealogies in Matt. 1 and Luke 3 show he descended from David through Joseph, who was not his natural father (the Virgin Birth)?”

Luke is recording Mary’s genealogy and Matthew is recording Joseph’s. Matthew is following the line of Joseph (Jesus’ legal father), through David’s son Solomon, while Luke is following the line of Mary (Jesus’ blood relative), though David’s son Nathan. There was no Greek word for “son-in-law,” and Joseph would have been considered a son of Heli through marrying Heli’s daughter Mary. Through either line, Jesus is a descendant of David and therefore eligible to be the Messiah.

“Lastly, in Matt. 15:24 Jesus said, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel,” but later told his followers to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations” (Matt 28:19). To whom, then, are they to go–only to the Jews, or everyone?”

This is based on timing. First, God’s Chosen People, the Jews had to receive His words. Once that was accomplished, the rest of the world was preached to.

I have to make an assumption that these arguments are this guy’s best work, since that is what he put in his pamphlet. His research isn’t very good and I’m disappointed that this is the best he had to offer. It was pretty much as I suspected…he cherry picked passages that appeared to contradict each other and presented them out of context. Presented that way and contrasted to modern social mores, his arguments look pretty firm. On closer examination, all of his “best work” was not difficult to refute.

A note to the commentator who brought these questions to our attention, we do appreciate you asking about it. I hope this has helped clear up some of the confusion.

Obama Promises ‘Gays’ ‘Strongest Possible Bill’

Friday, April 11th, 2008

For those who had any doubts about Obama’s stance on the homosexual agenda, there can no longer be any doubt. He has come out completely in favor of advancing their agenda.

In a sit-down interview with the “gay” magazine the Advocate, Sen. Barack Obama said, if elected, he foresees eliminating the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell policy” and passing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, opposed by many faith-based groups that argue it would force them to accept homosexuals in leadership.

Obama indicated he wants the bill to include protection for transgenders, but acknowledged opposition in Congress is strong, noted David Brody, senior national correspondent for the Christian Broadcasting Network’s news division, or CBN News.

“I think that’s going to be tough, and I’ve said this before. I have been clear about my interest in including gender identity in legislation, but I’ve also been honest with the groups that I’ve met with that it is a heavy lift through Congress,” he said.

“We’ve got some Democrats who are willing to vote for a non-inclusive bill, but we lose them on an inclusive bill, and we just may not be able to generate the votes,” Obama continued. “I don’t know. And obviously, my goal would be to get the strongest possible bill – “that’s what I’ll be working for.”

Obama also boasted he’s been more “vocal on gay issues to general audiences than any other presidential candidate probably in history.”

As WND reported last month, Obama issued an open letter to the “LGBT community” assuring them he believes in “full equality” for homosexuals and stating that, unlike Sen. Hillary Clinton, he advocates the complete repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act.

In the letter, published on a campaign blog, Obama says he’s “running for president to build an America that lives up to our founding promise of equality for all – a promise that extends to our gay brothers and sisters.”

Obama said that throughout his career he has “fought to eliminate discrimination against LGBT (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) Americans.”

New Mexico Commission Orders $6,000 Fine for Christian Beliefs

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Elaine Huguenin and her husband Jon, who co-own Elane Photography in Albuquerque, New Mexico, are both Christians. So when a lesbian couple asked them to photograph their “commitment ceremony” in Taos, the Huguenins politely refused. In response, Vanessa Willock filed a complaint with the New Mexico Human Rights Commission claiming the Huguenins discriminated against her because of her “sexual orientation.” On Wednesday, the Commission found the Christian couple guilty of discrimination under state anti-discrimination laws and ordered them to pay more than $6,000 in costs.

Jordan Lorence with the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) represented the Huguenins. He contends the lawsuit reflects an attitude among homosexual activists.

“This decision is a stunning disregard for religious liberty and First Amendment freedoms of people of faith, of Christians, and those who believe in traditional marriage defined as one man and one woman,” says the attorney. “This shows the very disconcerting, authoritarian face of the homosexual activists, who are using these non-discrimination laws as weapons against Christians in the business world and Christians in their churches.”

Obscured Nudity During TV’s ‘Family Hour’ Draws Complaints

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Hollywood and the entertainment industry is going to continue to push the gambit of how much sex they will be allowed to show. If it was up to them, public television would be filled with graphic sex at any time, all the time.

According to the Parents Television Council (PTC), on the March 26th episode of America’s Next Top Model, a model was shown posing nude for photos while lying on a bed. Although the nudity was partially blurred, the PTC says it is helping people file indecency complaints about the episode. The program airs at 8:00 p.m. (Eastern) on Wednesdays.

Isett says it is irresponsible for the CW Television Network to air such a program during the family hour. “I don’t think this is a question of artistic freedom,” he states bluntly. “There are certain rules and obligations that go along with holding a federal broadcast license in order to use the public airwaves for free — and one of those rules is that you can’t air indecent material at the times of day when we know millions of children are watching,” Isett contends.

PTC president Tim Winter believes this airing of nudity has “crossed the legal threshold for broadcast indecency.” Winter states in a press release that he believes CW is intentionally foregoing the standard boundaries in an effort to establish a “new, acceptable nudity standard” for broadcast television.

“2012: TEOTWAWKI” by Jack Kinsella

Friday, April 11th, 2008

If you are a Christian, and you believe that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled in this generation, then you are probably the oddball in your church.

In fact, scratch ‘probably’. It is pretty much a dead-bang certainty that you are. It is fascinating to me that a person can be pro-choice, anti-Israel, pro-gay marriage, and be labeled a ‘Christian progressive’.

But if you believe that God not only knows the future, but recorded it for us in advance, well, then you’re a nut.

Most Christians are ok with the idea that God created the universe. Whether or not they accept it as a literal ‘creation’ or some kind of modified evolutionary scheme notwithstanding, few Christians would argue that creation is beyond God’s power.

For reasons nobody has ever been able to logically articulate to me, Christians have no problem agreeing that the First Advent of Jesus Christ was prophesied.

But prophecies pointing to His Second Advent are merely symbolic and not to be taken literally. If YOU do, then you are a nut.

There are some churches, on the other hand, that are wholly given over to the study of Bible prophecy for the last days. If you are a member of a church like that, not only are YOU a nut, but you probably belong to a cult.

If you wanted to draw a cartoon in which you wanted one of the characters to be instantly recognized as being a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic, the most recognizable way would be to draw a guy with a long beard wearing a burnoose and brandishing a sign saying, “Repent! The end is near!”

And that’s just the way the subject is treated by other Christians. To the world, if you study Bible prophecy, you are probably not just crazy, but dangerous.

If you believe Nostradamus knew the future, you’re a harmless eccentric, if you believe the Mayans calculated The End of The World As We Know It (TEOTWAWKI) you are an historian. If you believe St Malachy, you are a Catholic theologian.

But if you believe that the God of the Universe has a Divine Plan that culminates with the judgment of mankind during the Tribulation Period, based entirely on a literal reading of His Word, then there’s something wrong with you.

The Mayan Indians, whose culture died out 1400 years ago, developed a complex calendar system that continues to fascinate scientists to this day.

The Mayan Calendar divides the history of man into five distinct ‘ages’ and this present age is scheduled to end exactly at 11:11 am (Greenwich Mean Time), on 24 December, 2012. The Mayans believed that on that date and time, the world as we know it will end with the final destruction of mankind on the earth.

Nostradamus is credited with having predicted the 9/11 attacks as kicking off the end of days. According to one celebrated ‘quatrain’ a King of Terror wearing a blue turban will attack ‘the “Great City”, etc., etc.

Although his most famous quatrain makes reference to the ‘King of Terror’ “in the seventh month of 1999” and the 9/11 attacks took place in the 9th month of 2000, for Nostradamus fans, that was close enough.

An 12th-century Irish priest recorded a prophecy in which he allegedly named the rest of the Popes in human history, from Celestine II (1143-1144) to the last pope at the end of the world.

According to St. Malachy, there would be exactly 112 Popes. Malachy predicted the second last Pope would be called ‘a Benedictine.’ I wrote about St Malachy’s ‘Benedictine prophecy’ in April, 2005, as the new Pope was being selected.

Cardinal Ratzinger chose, as his papal name, “Pope Benedict the XVI”. According to St Malachy, the Benedictine’s reign will be short, (Ratzinger is in his 80’s) and he will be succeeded by the last Pope, “Peter the Great.”

The various adherents of the Mayans, Nostradamus, St Malachy (and there are others) all share the same basic worldview that could be paraphrased thusly: let every man be true and God a liar.

All the various secular ‘prophets’ prove is that Satan knows his time is short. There is a singular difference between secular prophecies and Bible prophecy that reveals the source of the information.

Secular prophecies can only ‘predict’ events, not outcomes. Bible prophecy tells how they turn out. “I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done.” (Isaiah 46:9b-10a)

Satan is the universe’s master deceiver. His ultimate goal is to be received as God. Only God is capable of prophecy.

But Satan has a counterfeit plan of his own, and he has had six thousand years to develop it. Since he knows what he has planned, it is no trick to reveal the plan to some secular ‘prophet’. Satan doesn’t know how his plan will turn out, any more than any other created being, but he DOES know what he has in mind.

From our dimension of time, it seems like prophecy. Remove the element of time, and what seem now to be prophecy would no more than the outline of a plan.

Extra-Biblical prophecies, are part of that overall plan to counterfeit the miracles of God, so that, one day, ” he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” (2nd Thessalonians 2:4)

If one examines the extra-Biblical prophecies for the truth they contain, rather than looking for the sensational, what what learns is that it isn’t just prophecy nuts who believe in Bible prophecy. Satan believes it, too, or he wouldn’t be trying to counterfeit it.

What it DOES establish is that even Satan has an idea of the time of the end — and Satan thinks it will be some time around 2012.

We know that, of the day and hour, no man knoweth, but we are told we WILL know that it is ‘near, even at the doors.’ And from that time, Jesus tells us,

“Verily I say unto thee, this generation shall not pass, until ALL these things be fulfilled.” (Matthew 24:34)

TEOTWAWKI on December 24, 2012? I don’t think so. But soon?

No doubt about it.
