Emperor Obama Grabs Control of Census; Republicans to be Exterminated

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Did that title grab your attention? I do have some logic behind it, so let me explain.
As most of us know, the census is taken every ten years. Aside from demographic information, it is also used to assign the number of congressional representatives and Electoral College delegates.
Up until now, it has been the job of the Commerce Department. But Obama is going to give oversight of the task to his Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel.
This would give Obama complete control to “make” the census show anything he wants it to, including the removal of a significant number of Republican districts. Who would be able to challenge his word? He would have all the documentation under his control. Republicans wouldn’t be able to prove anything. The “official” word would be the census.
I have come under fire for calling Obama “Emperor Obama the First”. I responded by stating that I would stop calling him that when he quit acting like one. But each passing day he earns the title more and more.

Utah’s congressional delegation is calling President Obama’s decision to move the U.S. census into the White House a purely partisan move and potentially dangerous to congressional redistricting around the country.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, told FOX News on Monday that he finds it hard to believe the Obama administration felt the need to place re-evaluation of the inner workings of the census so high on his to-do list, just three weeks into his presidency.

“This is nothing more than a political land grab,” Chaffetz said.

Rep. Rob Bishop, R-Utah, told the Salt Lake Tribune that the move “shouldn’t happen.” He and Chaffetz are trying to rally Republicans “before its too late.”

“It takes something that is supposedly apolitical like the census, and gives it to a guy who is infamously political,” Bishop said of Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who would be tasked with overseeing the census at the White House.

The U.S. census — a counting of the U.S. population — is conducted every 10 years by the Commerce Department. Its results determine the decennial redrawing of congressional districts

As a matter of impact, the census has tremendous political significance. Political parties are always eager to have a hand in redrawing districts so that they can maximize their own party’s clout while minimizing the opposition, often through gerrymandering.

The census also determines the composition of the Electoral College, which chooses the president. If one party were to control the census, it could arguably try to perpetuate its hold on political power.

The results of the census are also enormously important in another way — the allocation of federal funds. Theoretically, a political party could disproportionately steer federal funding to areas dominated by its own members through a skewing of census numbers.

At this point the White House doesn’t seem willing to say what Emanuel’s role will be in overseeing the census, and White House officials say census managers will work closely with top-level White House staffers, but will technically remain part of the Commerce Department.

But critics say the White House chief of staff can’t be expected to handle the census in a neutral manner. Emanuel ran the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the 2006 election, and he was instrumental in getting Democrats elected into the majority.

“The last thing the census needs is for any hard-bitten partisan (either a Karl Rove or a Rahm Emanuel) to manipulate these critical numbers. Many federal funding formulas depend on them, as well as the whole fabric of federal and state representation. Partisans have a natural impulse to tilt the playing field in their favor, and this has to be resisted,” Larry Sabato, the director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, told FOX News in an e-mail.

Critics note that the method of counting can skew the census. Democrats have long advocated using mathematical estimates, a practice known as “sampling,” to count urban residents and immigrants. Republicans say the Constitution requires a physical head count, which entails going door-to-door.

“The Hope and Change of Arrogance and Thuggery” by Kevin McCullough

Monday, February 9th, 2009

President Obama has turned the will of the American people against him. In one rookie mistake after another, his decisions have shaken even the majority of his supporters. His insisting to not listen to his employer–We The People–is now adding arrogance to his unsteady hand. His policies involving political payback instead of finding genuine solutions are now demonstrating to all of us that the vagueness of his campaign speechmaking was merely the work of a hollow wordsmith after all.

It’s been a tough three weeks on the job Mr. President.

In breaking news on Friday afternoon, CBS News reported the startling conclusion. Mr. Obama’s 97% federal spending stimulus was exactly the opposite of how most Americans think the economic crisis should be handled. In their findings they reported that 55% of the nation believed the relief package should focus primarily, if not entirely, on tax reductions. We all do remember that he campaigned on this right? Under the Obama economic plan, he would begin the economic recovery by cutting the taxes of 95% of Americans? (Never mind the funny public school math he was using to get to the 95% number–just give him the benefit of the doubt). In the same findings, CBS News poll found that only 22% believed that more government spending would solve the crisis.

Despite economic advisors telling him so, despite the Reagan biographies he “read” following his election, despite the fact that the brightest economic minds in the nation advocate differently, and now despite the fact that the American people have so advised, Mr. Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid believe it is more important to spend nearly 1.3 trillion in stimulus allocation than to do the only thing that would allow the economy to recover.

This is likely their prescribed goal.

But let’s give Obama and company benefit of the doubt for the moment, just for the sake of argument. Let’s argue that the Government taking from us 1.3 trillion dollars in taxes will turn things around. How then should it be spent? What has emerged from the House and Senate proceedings is a slab of pork spending so large in scope the average tax-payer will gasp with offense when the final list is revealed. (Among the items, millions for condoms, hundreds of millions of STD awareness, even rumored water parks for Florida.)

But since this is imaginary land and we’re pretending that taxing us 1.3 trillion dollars will solve the problems let’s consider another way of using the money.

Most people do not realize that 1.3 trillion dollars is more money than if you spent one million dollars a day since the birth of Christ right up to present day. If you break it down across the raw population of America (not voters, not taxpayers, not even just adults – but EVERYONE) it would average out to be roughly $4290 per person. A married couple would garner a touch more than $8500. A family of four comes in at just over $17,000.

At a dinner party in Chicago this past friday evening I asked the four couples gathered around the table what they would do with that amount of money coming back to them from the government. Each of them mentioned housing projects, fix-me-up stuff, goods they were in need of, and some mentioned paying off debt. There were also mentions of new home electronic big ticket items, and the ladies around the table all day-dreamed momentarily of being able to do a spa day. Long story short, every item they talked about would have employed someone like a contractor, plumber, or electrician. They would have added to the welfare of commerce–big ticket items, new transportation, etc. And some would have even helped solidify the crumbling credit market by paying off credit card balances and putting cash back into the system.

If this was the case with merely five couples of very modest means, imagine the heat that would warm the economic engine from an entire nation responding this way.

Libertarian Economist: Contrary to Obama’s Claim, U.S. Not Experiencing the Most Severe Economic Recession

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Many people from all parts of society are saying this very same thing. In a nutshell, we’re being scared into accepting a fix that is only going to make things worse.

Richard Ebeling, a senior fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research, claims that claim is simply factually incorrect.

“The recession of 1949, of 1954, of 1982 show unemployment numbers larger than the ones we’re seeing now. We’re just basically matching the fourth-worst recession in the post-World War II period of 1975,” he contends. “I’m not saying it may not get worse. We don’t know the full numbers for February obviously, since we’re early in the month and so on, but the fact is that the sky is not falling, the floor is not falling out.”

Richard Ebeling (Am. Inst. for Economic Research)The highest drop-offs in employment, according to Ebeling, are in the construction sector and the automobile industry. But across most other sectors of the economy, he says the employment decline has been 1.5 or 2 percent.

Christian Broadcasters See Threat of Censorship

Monday, February 9th, 2009

I really can’t understand how the so-called “Fairness Doctrine” is even able to pass Constitutional muster. How can it not be a violation of the First Amendment for the government to mandate what views a broadcaster can espouse? Will it apply to the liberal news media as well as conservative radio broadcast? It would seem to me that they have more to loose (TV news coverage from the MSM’s) than the radio broadcasters (Rush and Hannity to name two). In any case, I still do not understand why this is not a violation of the First Amendment.

At the first convention of the National Religious Broadcasters since the November election, NRB president Frank Wright said, “The proclamation of the gospel is now opposed at every quarter. In the political arena, in the cultural context, in forces of the regulatory arena and the legislative environment — all these forces today seem to be arrayed against the gospel.”

But Dr. Wright said the NRB board has issued a declaration pledging to “obey the command of Christ to preach the gospel, even if human governments and institutions attempt to oppose, constrain, or prohibit it.”

Christian broadcasters have expressed concern that a revived “Fairness Doctrine” might force them to air anti-Christian responses to their programs. They also worry that proposed hate crimes laws — such as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) — could be used against stations whose broadcasts say Jesus is the only way to God or that homosexuality is sinful.

“What Era of Responsibility?” by John Andrews

Monday, February 9th, 2009

For years, my Denver Post column has called attention to America’s responsibility deficit, our national failure to recognize that we’re all bound in relationships of duty and trust. “It’s time for a new force in American politics,” I wrote in July 2007. “We need a responsibility movement to challenge both parties and reach beyond them.”

My reference was partly to the GOP’s fiscal irresponsibility that had cost them control of Congress and would later cost them the presidency. But as a conservative who preferred McCain to Obama and other Republicans to McCain, I didn’t expect to applaud the incoming Democrat. His responsibility message sounded good, though. We’ve since seen how credible it’s not.

While the inaugural had its debatable points, irresponsible rhetoric was absent. He had qualified praise for market economics, pledged “to spend wisely,” and said “programs will end” if they don’t work. Hmmm; time will tell. The reckless stimulus bill, long on statism and short on stimulation, is not a good start.

That day he did not equate our economic situation with the 1930s, which is sensible since it’s still less severe than the early ‘80s. He blamed “our collective failure to make hard choices,” not capitalist villainy. But he has since suggested making profits isn’t responsible. Fasten your seat belt.

To the jihadists (regrettably not named as such) with whom “our nation is at war,” he vowed on Jan. 20: “you are on the wrong side of history… we will defeat you.” In these words, as in the makeup of President Obama’s national security team, there was notable continuity with President Bush’s legacy. The next day, however, an opposite policy of coddling terrorists and appeasing our enemies began to emerge.

We must “set aside childish things,” urged the new president, quoting St. Paul. His allusions to race were statesmanlike, in contrast to the ungracious remarks of Rev. Joseph Lowery. Obama’s measured tone signaled no polarization of left and right. Less becoming was his juvenile swagger later in the week, calling out Rush Limbaugh and blurting to GOP congressmen, “I won.”

So we’re left wondering: was that Scripture mere garnish? Is the “era of responsibility” for real, or a cynical leftist’s misdirection? Maybe he just needed a substitute slogan after Lincoln’s “new birth of freedom,” the theme advertised earlier, was dropped. (Surely it didn’t flunk with focus groups?)

“Remaking America,” another potent phrase from Jan. 20, could easily become a pretext for all manner of utopian irresponsibility. Such irresponsibility could include emboldening radical Islam, muzzling broadcasters, rigged union elections, climate hysteria, amnesty for illegals, unethical cabinet officers, endless deficits and bailouts. All may now await us.

Responsibility, in contrast, would mean stronger defenses, limited government, low and uniform taxes, free enterprise, market health care, school choice, secure borders, protection for marriage and the unborn.

Obama’s words in the lofty inaugural left room for either scenario. But his actions in the first month have veered down the irresponsible road. And this vague notion of “duties to ourselves, our nation and the world” hints of unlimited government.

Remember when Michelle Obama said if we let Barack lead, he’ll make demands on us? Honestly that concerns me. It would concern George Washington, whom the smooth-tongued Messiah invoked. I wish our new president had specified personal responsibility, whereby free men and women make their own choices and take the consequences.

Muslims Behead Polish Geologist

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Muslim Taliban in Pakistan have beheaded a polish geologist. They made a video of the grisly event to show the world just how devout they are toward the Muslim way and to warn the infidels of the world to beware.
Now according to Muslims who have commented on our blog, these Muslims who go around lopping off people’s heads aren’t really Muslims. They say the Koran forbids killing.
I think that the Taliban, who claim to follow a very strict interpretation of the Koran and happen to be living in Pakistan (remember that the word Pakistan means “land of the pure”, meaning that it is the land of Islamic “purity”) would disagree with our commentators. In fact I believe they would violently disagree with our commentators.
Two completely different views within the same religion. Who is going to win the fight as to what Islam really is? I think the “head choppers” are going to win. The “non-choppers” will never stand up to the “head choppers”. They are afraid of the “head choppers”. Then there’s the “Muslim first, everything else second” mindset. They will support other Muslims against the Infidels (all the rest of us), even if they completely disagree with their methods, just because they are also Muslims. Muslim first, everything else second.
Here’s my opinion about Islam:
The “head choppers” will continue to impose Islam on the world, via their violent methods. The “non-choppers” will continue to impose Islam on the world, via the laws of their host countries and political correctness.
And us Infidels? Well, we’ll continue to wring our hands as the “head choppers” kill us and ignore the fact that someday we will be voted out of existence. Freedom will be gone and Sharia Law will rule. Us Infidels will either be killed or live out our lives as second class dhimmi.
I wonder if we will wake up soon?

Poland pledges to capture and “punish” the Taliban militants who beheaded a Polish engineer in Pakistan on Friday before delivering a video of the attack to the media, the Times of London reports.

Piotr Stanczak was reportedly kidnapped four months ago while working in the Attock district — a region close to Pakistan’s lawless North West Frontier Province.

A video released to media outlets Sunday shows the beheading of Stanczak just minutes after he appears on tape urging the Polish government not to send troops to neighboring Afghanistan.

On Monday, Poland’s Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said the video had been authenticated and pledged to bring the terrorists to justice, according to the Times of London.

“The cassette of the execution, this bestial execution, is authentic and unfortunately it confirms the worst,” Sikorski reportedly said in a statement. “Now we can no longer save our compatriot, we are going to try to punish his killers.”

Stanczak’s death would appear to be the first killing of a Western hostage in Pakistan since U.S. journalist Daniel Pearl was beheaded in 2002.

The seven-minute video shows Stanczak sitting on the floor flanked by two masked men. Off camera, a militant briefly engages him in conversation before three others behead him. One of the hooded men then addresses the camera, blaming Pakistan for the killing for not agreeing to their demands to release Taliban prisoners.

The militants issued a statement on the video warning that other foreign hostages would be executed if the Pakistani government did not release some 60 detainees held by the military, the Times of London reported.

The insurgents are reportedly holding at least four foreigners — including a Chinese engineer and Afghan and Iranian diplomats.

Pakistani Interior Ministry spokesman Shahidullah Baig said Sunday that the government was investigating the existence of the video. He did not immediately respond to requests for comment Monday.

Violence in Pakistan and Afghanistan has soared since U.S.-led forces ousted the Taliban regime in Afghanistan in 2001. Many militants fled across the border to Pakistan, establishing bases and continuing to attack U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

The news of Stanczak’s execution came just one day before U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador Richard Holbrooke arrived in Islamabad for scheduled meetings with senior Pakistani government officials.

“Gog Getting Ready To Go” by Todd Strandberg

Monday, February 9th, 2009

The prophet Ezekiel predicted that some day, Israel will be attacked by a massive army that will come out of the north. The leader of this invasion will come from the land of Magog, and most prophecy scholars identify this ancient tribal reference as modern-day Russia. Several Arab nations will join in this military campaign.

“The word of the LORD came to me: ‘Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him and say: “This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army–your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords”‘” (Ezekiel 38:1-4).

I’ve been absolutely amazed at how rapidly world events have been shaping up to make this invasion possible. Some of the most dramatic developments have occurred in the past couple of months.

For a long time, Turkey has been an important ally of Israel. In fact, it has been the only Arab nation to have any lasting interchange with the Jewish state. Turkey was the first Muslim country to formally recognize the State of Israel. Turkey has played a major role in the indirect negotiations between Syria and Israel, and much of Turkey ‘s arms are supplied by Israel.

It has long been a problem for Bible prophecy to have Turkey and Israel so chummy. Several passages in Ezekiel 38 and 39 strongly imply that Turkey will be part of the invasion force. Even if Turkey could somehow be excluded from playing a direct role in the attack, you would still have this large roadblock in the way of one of the world’s largest military movements.

In recent days, relations between Israel and Turkey have suddenly soured over the fighting in Gaza. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stormed out of an economic meeting in Davos, Switzerland, to protest Israel ‘s actions. After returning home, he was widely praised by the public for standing up to “Israel ’s aggression.”

The Gaza war may not be the sole cause for this split. Turkey has long prided itself as a progressive and highly western society. Lately, its Islamic nature has been reasserting itself. In 2007, the pro-Islamic Justice and Development Party gained control of parliament in a landslide victory. With Turkey looking more like Iran than Germany, there may be no way to save the crumbling Israel-Turkey alliance.

Another major development related to prophecy was the announcement that seven former Soviet republics, including Russia, will form a joint rapid reaction force. President Dmitry Medvedev said Russia, Armenia, Belarus, and four Central Asian nations — Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan — had reached the agreement to form the so-called Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) during a summit in Moscow .

Russia is clearly trying to restore influence in an area it considers to be its historic backyard. It just made a $2 billion financial aid deal with Kyrgyzstan that would oust the US from an air base at Manas. The move will make it more difficult for America to supply military operations in Afghanistan .

On the diplomatic front, Russia has been trying to assemble an international conference on the Middle East that will be hosted in Moscow. A foreign ministry official said most of the talks have been with Iran. “The Russian diplomat stressed the need for searching political solutions to the Arab-Israeli conflict on the basis of internationally recognized legal norms,” the official said.

Russia has always been on the side of the Arabs, but it has never before offered to play the role of peacemaker. Russia ‘s willingness to step into the fray stems from a view in Moscow that America is in decline. Russia ’s new freedom can easily go the other way as it may decide to try warfare to ensure peace in the Middle East.

The thing we are now waiting for is some major event to trigger Russia to make its move against Israel. I think the most likely cause would be a conflict between Israel and either Syria or Iran. Because Russia has close ties with both of these Islamic nations, it is easy to see why Gog and company would come rushing to their aid. If the global community is in an uproar over Israel defending itself against unprovoked Hamas rocket attacks, I guess nothing would be beyond bounds if Isaiah’s prophecy regarding the destruction of Damascus were to suddenly become fulfilled.

“The burden of Damascus . Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap” (Isa. 17:1).

UN to Probe Hamas for Use of Children

Monday, February 9th, 2009

It’s about time!!

The United Nations is ready to address Hamas’s use of children as human shields during last month’s IDF offensive in Gaza, the UN special representative for children and armed conflict told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday.

“We have not yet dealt directly with the human shield issue, but we will now mention it in our reports,” Radhika Coomaraswamy said in an exclusive interview following a four-day visit to the region.

“It is still very difficult for us to say that it was actually happening and we still need to conduct a full investigation into what exactly took place… but we are not denying that it happened; it is absolutely possible that Hamas was using its civilians as human shields,” she said.

However, Coomaraswamy said that the UN’s policy not to meet with leading members of the Hamas government – because it was officially considered a terrorist organization – seriously hampered all types of humanitarian relief work in the Gaza Strip.

“It makes all our humanitarian jobs very difficult, because we cannot meet with Hamas at a political level,” said Coomaraswamy, who this week met with high-level Israeli and Palestinian Authority officials, including PA Prime Minister Salaam Fayad, as well as with many children in both Gaza and Ashkelon to hear about the conflict from a more personal angle.

Coomaraswamy, who was appointed to her position three years ago and reports directly to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, said the work of UN aid agencies and other relief efforts over the past two and a half weeks since the fighting stopped meant that “basic humanitarian needs are being met” in Gaza.

However, “the children are still in urgent need of assistance, including the restoration of basic services and the immediate reconstruction of schools and hospitals,” she said in a press statement later on Thursday.

“UNRWA says that in order to avoid a crisis it needs roughly 400 aid trucks a day, but at the moment only about 130-140 trucks are allowed in to meet with humanitarian needs,” she told the Post.

In her press release, the UN representative also reiterated calls by the international community for Israel to open all its Gaza crossings “for regular, sufficient and facilitated humanitarian access.”

“The amount and kinds of supplies allowed into Gaza must be significantly expanded for any real improvement to occur,” Coomaraswamy wrote, emphasizing that “humanitarian agencies must not be hampered in assisting the population and their workers authorized easy access into Gaza.”

She also stated that “Hamas must respect that humanitarian aid cannot be diverted.”

Representatives Take Action to Prevent Transfer of Gitmo Terrorist to Their States

Monday, February 9th, 2009

Within hours of taking office, Obama signed an executive order calling for the closure of the terrorist detention center at Gunatanamo. To this day, he has yet to tell us what he plans of doing with these very dangerous terrorist. The closure order was obviously a knee-jerk reaction meant to appease his liberal base. He has not thought the situation through at all. Once again, his lack of leadership experience is showing.
I would urge you folks to contact your congress people and ask them to introduce similar legislation.

Gingrey bill blocks relocation of GITMO Detainees to Georgia

Washington, Feb 3 –

In response to the executive order recently issued by President Barack Obama, to close the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay within one year, Congressman Phil Gingrey, MD (R-GA) has introduced the NO GITMO in Georgia Act. This bill will ensure that current detainees held at Gunatanamo are not relocated to the State of Georgia.

“The detention center at Guantanamo houses some of the world’s most hardened terrorists who want nothing more than to destroy America,” said Gingrey. “And yet, the Obama Administration has committed to close the facility without answering questions critical to our national security and public safety. Where will current detainees and convicted terrorists be relocated? How will we ensure that they are not allowed to return to the battlefield to fight us again? Will they be afforded the same legal rights as American citizens?”

“I am certainly not comfortable with terrorist detainees being housed in the State of Georgia,” continued Gingrey. “Therefore, I have introduced the NO GITMO in Georgia Act to make sure that never happens. No matter what the fate of this critical national security facility may be, this bill would prevent either the transfer to or housing of Guantanamo Bay detainees in any military facility or Federal detention center within the State of Georgia.”

Congressman Gingrey is joined in this effort by the entire Georgia Republican House Delegation – Reps. Paul Broun (R-GA), Nathan Deal (R-GA), Jack Kingston (R-GA), John Linder (R-GA), Tom Price (R-GA) and Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA).

Gingrey’s legislation has sparked other state delegations to introduce similar legislation to prevent terrorist detainees from being relocated to their states.

America’s Right has this to say:

Unlike Pennsylvania Democrat Rep. John Murtha, not every elected official wants terrorists in their particular district and backyard.

In the wake of the executive order mandating the closure of the detainee facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and transfer of the detainees, the order signed by President Barack Obama within hours of his inauguration and without further plan as to the fate of the detainees themselves, individual states are taking matters into their own hands to ensure that their respective constituencies remain detainee-free.

Just this past week, Congressman Phil Gingrey (R-GA) introduced the “NO GITMO in Georgia Act,” a bill intended to prohibit the transfer or incarceration of the detainees in question through or within the state of Georgia. Gingrey was joined by a half-dozen other Republican Congressman from Georgia — Reps. Lynn Westmoreland, Tom Price, John Linder, Jack Kingston, Nathan Deal, and Paul Broun.

Better yet, Gingrey’s bill has sparked similar legislation in other states, including a bill sponsored by North Carolina Rep. Sue Myrick, also a Republican. Myrick’s bill, as of Saturday afternoon, had no such cosponsors.

I fear that we as Americans are becoming complacent, once again falling into that “September 10th” mentality that we are somehow inexplicably insulated from radical Islam and its attitude toward the West. For the most part, we’re back to looking at the on-again, off-again conflagrations in Gaza and other perennial trouble spots overseas, forgetting that these people want nothing more than to take the fight to us, to make us all pay for the sins of the infidel.

Truthfully, it’s easy to become complacent; for many, there is comfort in willful blindness and voluntary ignorance. This easy way out, however, is compounded by a new administration which, in itself, is mired in this idyllic worldview featuring a peaceful global community, featuring shared resources, shared assets, shared values (or lack thereof) and shared aspirations — a worldview perpetuated by the aging hippies in academia and forgetful idealists in western Europe and advanced by a detente-at-all-costs approach to foreign policy.

So long as we’re in the habit of communicating with our elected officials, we should thank them when they strike out on their own and actually advance the will of their constituents, actually take a realistic approach to the threats which face our country and way of life from overseas. If these people–Myrick, Gingrey and their supporters and co-sponsors–are your congressmen and congresswomen, thank them. If they’re not, call your own representative and apprise them of what’s going on in Georgia and North Carolina, and why it is important to the continued safety and security of our nation.
