Abbas: ‘I Don’t Have to Recognize Israel as a Jewish State’

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

In typical Pali terrorist form, terrorist leader, Abbas, has once again stated his true intentions; not to recognize Israel as the Jewish State.
Of course his actions will be followed by swift condemnation…of Israel, as the world scrambles to find something to take away what little attention is given to the terrorist acts the Pali terrorist continue to do.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said that he would not recognize Israel as a Jewish state in an interview with east Jerusalem newspaper Al-Quds.

When asked about Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s demand that the PA recognize Israel as a Jewish state, Abbas said “Israel can call itself whatever it wants. We don’t have to recognize those definitions.”

Abbas repeatedly told the interviewer, on his trip from Libya to Jordan, that he will not compromise, especially when it comes to settlements and 1967 borders.

Abbas complained that the “historic compromise” that Netanyahu mentioned in his speech is a request for Palestinians to “withdraw all the issues, especially with the occupied territories in 1967.”

“We reject this because we see the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip as indivisible,” Abbas said.

The PA president also said that the US should continue its role. “The US was close to the negotiations, but did not enter the negotiation rooms,” he explained.

“There is no doubt that we and the Israelis differ on many issues since the start of negotiations. There are fundamental differences on many issues,” Abbas said, “but we must sit at the negotiations table to clarify the positions.” He added that the refugee issue as well as the release of Palestinian prisoners must be resolved.

Abbas also commented on the divisions between Hamas and Fatah, calling on them to compromise and join forces.

Iranian Woman Lashed 99 Times Could Be Stoned to Death Soon

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Another fine example of the “loving, caring, tolerant” nature of Muslims. This is what they bring to every country they control.

TEHRAN, Iran — The lawyer for an Iranian woman sentenced to be stoned on an adultery conviction said Monday that he and her children are worried the delayed execution could be carried out soon with the end of a moratorium on death sentences for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

In an unusual turn in the case, the lawyer also confirmed that Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani was lashed 99 times last week in a separate punishment meted out because a British newspaper ran a picture of an unveiled woman mistakenly identified as her. Under Iran’s clerical rule, women must cover their hair in public. The newspaper later apologized for the error.

With the end of Ramadan this week, the mother of two could be executed “any moment,” said her lawyer, Javid Houtan Kian.

The sentence was put on hold in July after an international outcry over the brutality of the punishment, and it is now being reviewed by Iran’s supreme court.

Ashtiani was convicted in 2006 of having an “illicit relationship” with two men after the murder of her husband the year before and was sentenced at that time to 99 lashes. Later that year, she was also convicted of adultery and sentenced to be stoned, even though she retracted a confession that she says was made under duress.

“The possibility of stoning still exists, any moment,” Kian told The Associated Press. “Her stoning sentence was only delayed; it has not been lifted yet.”

Pastor Facing Court Date After Sharing Gospel with Muslims – In Kansas

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

If Muslims had handed out information about their religion, at a local Christian church, you may rest assured that they would not have been arrested.

About 14 people, including three senior pastors, went to the local [Wichita, Kansas] mosque to distribute to Muslims packets containing the books of John and Romans in English and Arabic and a DVD with testimonies of former Muslims. Pastor Mark Holick of Spirit One Christian Center was one of those passing out the packets to people leaving the mosque.

Holick tells OneNewsNow that when local police officers arrived on the scene, he was handcuffed then detained in a patrol car, where he repeatedly asked what crime he had committed.

“And then about 15 minutes later, 20 minutes later, something like that, they finally came over and told me that I was being charged with ‘loitering’ and ‘failure to disperse,'” the pastor shares.
