God’s Wake-Up Call

Here are yet another couple of stories that might indicate just how upset God is with the United States.

  1. NY married hundreds of same-sex. I will not be surprised to see the wrath of the Almighty poured down on the Manhattan – Sodom of today.

We all need to do teshuva, give charity, daven/pray and not speak lashon hora (evil/gossip).

  2. Kobe says:

Despite the fact that homosexuality is not by choice but by genetics. Therefore if god hates homosexuals he hates a genetic condition he made

    Kobe,
Once again, you didn’t check your facts. There isn’t a “gay” gene. Sorry, wrong again.
    See here.

  4. Kobe says:

What do you mean once again? And it’s due to hormonal imbalances (namely that of congenital adrenal hyperplasia) that causes homosexuality, it’s not a gene but it is on a biological level.

  5. Steve says:

    Kobe,
Did you really just admit that homosexuality is a disease?
Wow, that’s awesome news!! Since it’s a disease, a cure can be found!! There’s hope for homosexuals after all.
Well, from God’s standpoint, there’s always been hope for them, but now they can be cured too.
    Awesome!!

Does that have disease written in it? Didn’t think so, it’s saying it’s biological (a defect, if you will) saying there’s a cure for that is like saying there’s a cure for autism, there isn’t and before you have a go at me for being cruel towards autistic people I’d point out that that was an example and I personally know Autistic people.
What I do realise is that from all your comments, your posts, trying to correct your view point on anything is like an ant moving a boulder, it isn’t gonna happen. However here is something for you. People speak of an all loving god and yet there are groups that it apparently hates and all these violent wars started “In the name of God.” bit hypocritical.
as an after thought I thought I’d mention I’m reading the Qur’an (a religiously conscious atheist isn’t out of the ordinary) and so far, no mention of jihads, no promotion of the slaughter of “infidels”, no points to say that women have lower rights, nothing horrible and the nicest person I know just so happens to be Islamic.
    sincerely 🙂

    Kobe,
I’m glad you are reading the Koran. I too have read it, which is something many Muslims can’t claim. Be sure read the Hadith as well.
I noticed several points about the Koran; historically, Mohammed started out fairly weak, so the early parts of the Koran are actually quote peaceful. As he consolidated his power and grew his fighting force, you will notice that his writings get more bold and militaristic. So you can lay the historic accounts beside the Koran and see how the writings correspond.
The other point I noticed was the abrogation, even to the point that the Koran states that nothing is abrogated, but what is presented “now” is better than what was presented “before”, which, by definition, is abrogation.
In any case, it makes for an interesting read.
